Chanthaburi offers a wide variety of tourist attractions, including beaches, mountains, waterfalls, and local culture. Every visit provides a unique perspective on the province's tourism.

I can confidently say that every trip to Chanthaburi is enjoyable and memorable. ^^

Today, we have a day to drive from Pattaya, which is only a little over an hour away. Our destination for today's trip to Chanthaburi is Peggy's Cove, a brightly colored resort in the style of a Canadian fishing village in Nova Scotia. Let's head out and see how vibrant it is.

The simplest way to reach Peggy's Cove is by setting the location in Google Maps to "Peggy's Cove Resort" and following the directions. This ensures a smooth and direct arrival.

Peggy's Cove Resort in Chanthaburi recreates the charming atmosphere of a seaside resort town at Khlung Wiman Beach, along the Chalermprakiettisat Road. This road is a popular route for road trips to admire the Nang Phaya Viewpoint, and it is located within a half-hour drive from Chanthaburi city center. The scenic beauty of this road rivals that of Nova Scotia in Canada.

Before entering the room zone, there is a swimming pool located next to the lobby.

A beautiful sunny day with clear skies, perfect for relaxing, swimming, and enjoying the view at Krung Wiman Beach. It's the ultimate vacation vibe.


However, today the weather is not cooperating for playing (we might play in the rain instead).

Photography enthusiasts are advised to clear at least 32 GB of space on their memory cards.

Upon entering the resort's residential zone, you'll be transported to a realm of opulence. Prepare to be captivated by the resort's picturesque nooks and crannies, providing endless opportunities for stunning photographs.

This place is adorable. There are even marked spots for the perfect angle, in case you're unsure where to stand. Just stand on the marked spot and have your friend take the picture. You'll get a photo with the colorful houses of the fishing village as the main backdrop.


Before exploring this vibrant fishing village, let's first head to our room for the day. The charmingly named Sea Bass room (would you prefer it fried with fish sauce or steamed with lime? ^^) awaits.

Take the keycard and enter the door.

The room is charming, featuring a spacious layout with high ceilings and a soothing pastel color scheme that is easy on the eyes.

The bed is remarkably spacious, ensuring a comfortable night's sleep even for the most restless sleepers. Its ample size eliminates any risk of falling out, regardless of your sleeping position. The bed's exceptional comfort guarantees a restful and rejuvenating sleep, leaving you feeling refreshed and energized.

There are many pillows provided, almost a dozen.

The living room couch is just as comfortable as a large bed, making it a perfect spot for relaxing and watching TV.

The bathroom features both a shower and a bathtub, offering a subtly sensual atmosphere.

This is a sound amplifier. Simply place your phone on top, and the sound will be amplified through the speaker. You can listen to music while lying down without the hassle of connecting to an external speaker.

This room features a balcony that opens to a seating area where you can enjoy the sea breeze.


The gentle patter of rain and the cool breeze on the balcony lulled me into a state of near slumber.

Beyond the relaxing atmosphere, the attention to detail in every aspect is evident. From the well-designed and user-friendly furnishings to the choice of bathroom fixtures and the texture of the curtains, it is clear that only the best has been selected to ensure a high-quality experience for every guest.

In addition to relaxing and taking photos at Peggy's Cove, there are also activities to participate in for those who prefer to be active rather than simply sitting or lying down.

The activities included a visit to a traditional Thai fishing village, where you could take a boat trip to see the fish cages.

Alternatively, if you prefer to stay indoors and capture vibrant photos, you can borrow a full set of overalls in all primary colors to wear for a photoshoot within the resort. The bright colors will complement the colorful houses of the fishing community.

Let's head to Khao Nang Phaya Viewpoint, another highlight of Chanthaburi. I've been to Chanthaburi many times, but I've never been here before. Let's drive and see what it's like.

Driving from Peggy's Cove, it takes less than a kilometer to reach Khao Nang Phaya Viewpoint!

Located in close proximity to Peggy's Cove, this vantage point offers stunning views throughout the day, making it an ideal destination for morning, afternoon, and evening visits.

This allows you to capture stunning photos of the Nang Phaya slope in different lighting conditions throughout the day.

However, the sky is a bit overcast today, and there is no sunlight to help, so it will be somewhat pastel. ^^'

Despite the unfavorable weather conditions, a considerable number of tourists still visited the site to take photographs. Some groups arrived in tour buses.

This viewpoint would be beautiful on a clear day. Today, we'll enjoy the pastel-colored view instead. ^^'

This place is full of adorable stray dogs. ^^

Actually, the fishing village is just a short drive past the viewpoint. However, it was raining heavily on the day I went, so I didn't go down to explore. No worries, Chanthaburi is just a short drive from Bangkok, only about 3 hours. And even the seals are in Pattaya, just over an hour's drive away. I told you Chanthaburi is charming, no matter how many times you visit, you'll never get bored. ^^

For those who have enjoyed driving and sightseeing at Nang Phaya Hill and are looking for a place to relax and enjoy a refreshing drink at Krung Wiman Beach, Peggy's Cove offers Coffee Cove, a place to unwind and relax.

The shop offers both hot and cold beverages.

Coffee Cove also offers access to a lighthouse with stunning panoramic views.

However, the weather wasn't great today, so I wasn't able to take any photos of the view from above.

In addition to the coffee shop, there is also a restaurant, Lighthouse Bar & Bistro, which serves from morning until 9:30 PM.

Fresh seafood at affordable prices.

Contrary to popular belief, this restaurant offers more than just Western cuisine. The chef's innovative approach to local Chanthaburi cuisine sets it apart. Using unique local ingredients, they have created a diverse menu of enticing dishes, including stir-fried rice noodles with soft-shell crab, sea bass cooked with cardamom shoots, and stir-fried wild boar with star gooseberry.

And the must-try pizza that impresses every customer who orders it.

. . . For those who are driving to Khao Nang Phaya and are looking for a restaurant with a view of Khao Nang Phaya Beach, a restaurant where you can sit comfortably and eat with your family,

you should stop by Lighthouse ฺBar & Bistro at Peggy's Cove Resort.

As the evening approached, we sat down for dinner at the Lighthouse. On a clear day, the setting would have been romantic, but today the sky was overcast and the waves were crashing violently. It was hard to imagine anyone wanting to swim in such conditions. However, we were treated to the sight of a group of surfers riding the waves at Krung Viman Beach, which was an impressive sight.

It is remarkable to see people surfing in Chanthaburi, as this activity is typically associated with southern coastal areas like Khao Lak and Kata Beach in Phuket, where the waves are known for their intensity.

However, the waves at Krung Wiman Beach are currently quite strong, strong enough to see the beautiful surfing postures of the surfers.

This further enhances the evening atmosphere of Peggy's Cove, giving it a foreign mood and tone.

Life in a fishing village is synonymous with weathering waves and winds.

Good morning! . . .

Last night, it rained heavily throughout the night. I slept very comfortably. When I woke up this morning and opened the curtains, I saw the same white clouds floating by. There was no sunlight to greet the dawn. Ugh! The weather on this trip is not cooperating at all. But then again, the pictures of Peggy's Cove in Nova Scotia that I've seen before also have a gloomy sky like this. (Thinking positive ^^')

Although the weather is not ideal this morning, don't be discouraged! Even though you came all this way hoping for beautiful, sunny photos, you can still make the most of your trip. Embrace the cloudy skies and capture the unique atmosphere they create. Who knows, you might even end up with some truly special and memorable shots.

It's alright. Rain and thunder are natural phenomena that we cannot control. Therefore, . . .

Girls who enjoy taking photos can have fun rummaging through their closets for colorful clothing, especially primary colors, to create a Pop Art-style photoshoot.

How many sets and colors are there? Bring them all.

Or, you could try color blocking for a fun and contrasting look.

With the vibrant backdrop of Peggy's Cove's fishing village, the sky's whiteness and abundance of clouds become irrelevant. The colorful background adds a touch of cheerfulness to the scene.

If you're not comfortable bringing your own clothes and props for your photoshoot, Peggy's Cove has colorful fisherman's overalls available for you to borrow and wear. This way, you're guaranteed to have beautiful photos to post on Facebook and Instagram for months to come!

Lost track of time playing with the camera, so I missed breakfast. This morning, I'm having breakfast at the Lighthouse restaurant on the second floor, same as usual.

The atmosphere is completely different from this evening. It's a pity that if there was a clear sky, it would help to enhance the vibrancy of this place even more.

Breakfast options vary depending on the day of the week and occupancy levels. On weekends and holidays, when the resort is busy, a buffet breakfast is served. On weekdays, when there are fewer guests, a set breakfast menu with four options is available.

  4. Rice with chili and salt

Each set comes with orange juice, tea, coffee, salad, and toast.

The resort offers two options for Eggs Benedict: one with smoked salmon, a menu item rarely seen as part of a breakfast set for guests.

Another must-try dish in Chanthaburi is seafood with chili salt on rice.

The term "พริกเกลือ" in this context does not refer to a condiment for dipping fruit. It is a local term used in Chanthaburi, Thailand, to specifically describe a seafood dipping sauce.

A delectable Egg Benedict, oozing with irresistible allure.

Squeeze lemon to cut the richness of the hollandaise sauce with smoked salmon.

The sound of water dripping.

Cereal with milk is also available for those who do not drink tea or coffee.

A good breakfast like this makes me happy all day long.

After breakfast, we will check in and continue working. The happy time passed quickly.

No worries! Chanthaburi is just a stone's throw away. You can come here as many times as you want! ^^
