Tonight, we're back for another late-night adventure. This time, we're taking you to a brand-new, ultra-chic accommodation in Pattaya, not too far from home: the Movenpick Siam Pattaya.

The Mövenpick Siam Hotel is part of the Swiss-based Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts, a leading global brand. Based on my previous experience at the Mövenpick Prague, I anticipate that the new Mövenpick Pattaya will offer a similarly high standard of service. While the hotel chain is Swiss, it is owned by a Thai individual and operated by Mövenpick.

The hotel, although advertised as being located in Pattaya, is actually quite far from the city center. The hotel claims to be on Na Jomtien Beach, but in reality, it is closer to Ban Amphur Beach and is situated before Nong Nooch Garden. It is adjacent to the Ambassador Hotel, an older establishment. Interestingly, the hotel also has a condominium section. Looking at the pictures, the building with red stripes is the hotel, while the blue stripes represent the condo. Additionally, there are pool villas for sale outside the main road leading to the hotel. If you have 28 million baht to spare, go for it! Nowadays, property prices in Pattaya and Hua Hin are no different from those in Bangkok's Sukhumvit or Thonglor areas.

Thanks to a special promotion from Citibank credit card, I was able to get a great deal on a hotel room. I stayed in a Premium Seaview room for 3,900 baht, which was originally priced at 4,900 baht. Unfortunately, I ended up with a double bed. I took the opportunity to go last week during the Qingming Festival to avoid traffic jams, so I stayed in Pattaya for one night (but in reality, Sundays are probably even more congested). Let's take a look at the room. Today, I'm staying in room 2904 on the 29th floor. The view is amazing!

This is truly a Movenpick experience. For the price point in Pattaya, the rooms are remarkably new and clean. While a double bed is provided, one can only imagine the luxury of a king-sized bed. Nevertheless, the current setup exceeded expectations. The bed and pillows are incredibly comfortable, and the spacious bathroom boasts a wet and dry separation. It features both a rain shower and a large, round bathtub perfect for soaking while watching TV. Following the trend of modern hotels, the bathtub offers a "sexy bath" experience. The water pressure is excellent, even on the 29th floor. The rain shower is a delight, further enhanced by the consistent hot water. The Wi-Fi is strong, reaching speeds of 30 Mbps. The television offers HD channels, making it a perfect option for those who prefer to stay in and enjoy the stunning views of the Gulf of Thailand from the private balcony. Every room offers a sea view, making this promotion exceptional value for money. Let's explore other parts of the hotel.

The hotel offers a full range of facilities, as expected from a five-star establishment. While it is located a bit far from shopping areas, there is a shuttle service that runs to Central shopping mall in the city center. This service is mainly used by foreign guests. Due to its slightly remote location, most guests tend to stay within the hotel grounds. The highlight is undoubtedly the large swimming pool, which is a favorite among children who can spend the whole day playing in the water. In my opinion, the Movenpick Siam is a true family hotel, especially during school holidays when there are many children staying there. In addition to the swimming pool, there is also a fitness room and a playroom for young children. Guests who prefer swimming in the sea can do so as the hotel is located on Ban Amphur Beach. The beach is quite crowded, but it is not a private beach and is shared with other hotels in the vicinity, including the Ambassador, Chatrium, and Ocean Marina. While swimming is possible, the water is quite deep, and the sand is not as white as on other beaches like Jomtien, Bang Saray, or Bang Saen. These beaches tend to have this type of sand. However, if you head towards Hat Sai Kaew or Sattahip, you will find whiter and more beautiful beaches.

There are two points of disappointment. The first is the parking. Although there is a reasonable amount of parking, both in the basement and outdoors, the number of parking spaces is not very large. Especially during the period when people stay at the hotel until April, if you go out to eat or visit Pattaya, you should hurry back to park your car. Otherwise, there will be no parking space. Oh, another point is the spa. Although there is currently a buy-one-get-one-free promotion for use on the check-in day, I think the spa massage skills are not up to par. I feel a little sorry for the money.

The main restaurant here is on the G floor, the same floor where you can walk to the water, called Twist Restaurant. On Fridays and Saturdays, the seafood buffet is a must-try, but I didn't try it myself. The price is 2,500 baht per person, but apart from foreigners, Thai people may not be as interested, because once you're in Pattaya, you can drive around and eat seafood. The closest one is Ban Amphoe Beach, which has many restaurants. However, I didn't eat there. I drove further and found a local restaurant, but not too local, because there were foreigners eating there as well, near Bang Sare Beach. The food was very good. I will review this restaurant briefly at the end.

The most notable restaurant here is T55 New York Grill, a steakhouse chain from abroad. The prices are reasonable, and it's a must-try for beef steak enthusiasts. However, as I don't eat beef, I had to skip it.

For dinner on the day I stayed, I didn't go anywhere, so I ate at the hotel. But I didn't have the buffet. I had a simple meal with off-menu dishes. But the kitchen was kind enough to make me squid stir-fry with fried egg. The food tasted really good. But what I liked even more was the container, as shown in the picture. I'll try to buy some for my home. Even the fish sauce and chili came in a cute little jar.

The breakfast buffet offers a wide variety of premium options, including porridge, noodles, rice dishes, and Western cuisine. The highlight is the fresh coconut water, which is a popular choice among female guests. While the breakfast spread is impressive, the taste is considered average.

In summary, Movenpick Siam Pattaya is another option for accommodation that is not far from Bangkok and Pattaya city. The hotel is located in a quiet area, but it is also suitable for families. However, because Pattaya city is developing rapidly, there is a traffic problem, but this is a global problem in Bangkok. I'm closing with a picture of the black sea at night. Hello.
