The bananas in the hands of the lady boss, send them to me now. Oh, haha, haha!!!!!! I've lost my mind. 555+

During a recent holiday, a giraffe approached me closely at the Safari Park and Camp in Kanchanaburi, breathing down my neck.

Many people may not know that Kanchanaburi has an open zoo. The highlight of this place is getting up close and personal with various animals, including deer, tigers, lions, and zebras. However, the most impressive and enjoyable experience was with the long-necked giraffes. They came very close, so close that I was licked on the face by a giraffe! It turns out they love bananas, so they were very persistent and even a bit aggressive, which startled me a little. Honestly, I like open zoos because they provide ample space for the animals to roam freely, eliminating the need for small cages and excessive confinement. This allows them to maintain some level of freedom and appear happy and comfortable around people.

The zoo offers a bus tour that allows visitors to feed animals up close. The first zone features deer, which are tame and accustomed to the routine. As the bus approaches, they eagerly run towards it. Next, the tour passes by tigers, lions, and leopards. The driver assures passengers that they can keep their windows open, claiming the animals are tame. When asked if it's safe to get out, the driver replies with a firm "no," explaining that the animals would attack. Despite the driver's initial claim of tameness, the animals remain within their enclosures and do not approach the bus closely.

💰💰 Admission Fee: Thai Nationals - Adults 200 Baht, Children (height not exceeding 120 cm) 100 Baht.

📌📌 Food for the giraffes is available for purchase at the ticket booth. Four baskets cost 100 baht. If you want to get close to the giraffes, it is recommended that you buy some, as they LOVE bananas! ><

⏱⏱ Opening hours: Open daily, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM.

🚗🚌 The Safari Park Open Zoo is located just 28 kilometers from Kanchanaburi city center. Here are the main ways to get there:

2. Take the Safari Park open zoo bus. The pick-up and drop-off point is the bridge over the River Kwai - Safari Park Open Zoo & Resort.
