- Mae Khamin Waterfall, Srinakarin Dam National Park, Si Sawat District, Kanchanaburi Province, is a waterfall that is famous for its beauty and is ranked among the top in Thailand. It has a total of 7 levels, each with its own unique beauty. The journey is not far from Bangkok. You can easily go for 2 days and 1 night. There is also a camping area in the park where you can relax. Mae Khamin Waterfall is perfect for people who love to take pictures of waterfalls. As someone who practices waterfall photography, I wouldn't miss it for the world. The waterfalls are not far apart, and the walking trails are easy, making it ideal for a relaxing family outing, a romantic getaway, or even a solo trip. Today, I will take you on a real journey to get to know her (the waterfall) by traveling by public transportation for 2 days and 1 night, camping in a tent, taking beautiful pictures of the waterfall, and all at an affordable price.
The journey begins with a van ride from Future Park Rangsit. Disembark at the 7-Eleven in Ban Lad Krabang and walk to the Ban Lad Krabang market, which is not far. Alternatively, you can take a van from Mo Chit, but it's unclear if it goes directly to Ban Lad Krabang. If not, alight at the Kanchanaburi Bus Terminal and take a local 2-row car to Ban Lad Krabang market, which is only 10 kilometers away. Upon reaching Ban Lad Krabang, board a local 2-row car, which departs at noon. Ensure you arrive on time. It's unclear if it's called a 2-row car, but it's a regular pickup truck with an added roof and seats for transporting passengers to the city. The distance is not far, just over 100 kilometers, and it follows the same route as Erawan Waterfall, but it's farther. Those with private vehicles can make a leisurely stop at Erawan Waterfall. However, it's advisable to arrive at Huai Mae Khamin Waterfall as soon as possible to secure a camping spot (it gets crowded). Upon arrival, immediately find a camping spot. For those without tents, the park offers rentals for tents, sleeping bags, pillows, and blankets. However, arrive before 4:30 PM, as the service closes after that. It's a one-stop shop. After setting up camp, there's time to explore the waterfall. The fourth tier, which we believe is the most stunning, is located near the campsite. However, swimming is prohibited. Tiers 3, 2, and 1 are accessible by walking down, and swimming is permitted at all tiers. The waterfall is beautiful and inviting. Tiers 5, 6, and 7 are accessible by walking up, which we recommend doing the next morning. After enjoying the waterfall, take a shower at the park, which provides free shower facilities. For those who prefer simple meals, the park offers cooked-to-order dishes, snacks, and drinks. For those who enjoy grilling, the park provides barbecue grills and charcoal for rent. Ingredients for cooking are also available, making it a truly comprehensive experience. You only need to bring money, haha!

- We arrived at the park around 3:30 pm. After renting a tent from the park, we immediately headed to the fourth tier of the waterfall, which is the closest to the park headquarters and campsite. We hurried to capture the scenery before the sky started to darken.
The sentence is already in English and does not require translation.
After capturing the beauty of the fourth tier of the waterfall, we had some time to spare. We decided to descend to the lower tiers, exploring the third, second, and first tiers in sequence. Each tier possessed its own unique charm and aesthetic appeal.
The path to each level of the waterfall is very easy. It is a wooden bridge that goes all the way along the waterfall to each level. On both sides of the path are waterfalls and trees, making it very shady.
As dusk settled, we ascended from the waterfall to prepare our sleeping quarters for the night. Seeking sustenance, we opted for simple fare, inevitably settling on cooked-to-order dishes. Fortunately, several shops catered to tourists, offering reasonable prices. A plate of rice with a side dish cost a mere 40-50 baht. For bathing, the park provided free shower facilities.
This morning, we woke up early to reach the 5th, 6th, and 7th tiers of the waterfall. These tiers are located beyond the 4th tier and require a 1 km hike along a path that follows the stream. We aimed to reach the 7th tier first to capture photos in the early morning with fewer crowds.

May I have your permission to include you in this photo? I'm here alone and would like to have some people in the picture. Thanks!
After taking photos on floors 5, 6, and 7, we returned to floor 4 to take a few more photos before grabbing a bite to eat before heading back.
Here's our budget-friendly breakfast for 20 baht, along with a bottle of water.
After grabbing a quick bite to eat, it was time to meet up with the songthaew driver who would take us back to Kanchanaburi city. And here it is, the songthaew we were talking about. The fare from Huai Mae Khamin Waterfall to Ban Lad Ya is only 140 baht.
Finally, we would like to thank our friends who have read our review in our own simple way. If you like it, please like and share it as much as you like. If you want to follow more of Mr. Tiny's travel adventures, you can follow him on the page Mr. Tiny, Walking Slowly. Thank you very much.
