This trip was nothing special. I just really wanted to go to Phu Thap Boek, but I didn't have a car, so I invited my friends and older siblings to go. But I got rejected. My determination didn't waver. I met her at noon. At one o'clock in the afternoon, I packed my things and rode my motorcycle. This time, I went solo with my trusty MSX SF.

Departed from Pattaya at 2:00 PM. The first thing I did was open the map on my phone. I followed the directions and arrived in Chachoengsao. I stopped for a break and refueled for the first time, spending 90 baht.

The car drove for a long time, and I kept checking the map. I want to say that it took me the fastest way, but the road was terrible, and almost no cars passed by. I got lost again at Ban Na intersection near Nakhon Nayok. I got lost many times. A word of caution: sometimes you can't trust the map.

Reached Saraburi at 5:30 PM. Filled up the tank for the second time for around 80 baht. 4 kilometers before reaching the dam, I stopped to buy food. I had a light sukiyaki for dinner. 555. It's nice to be able to enjoy myself even when I'm alone. I want to tell everyone who comes by motorcycle not to rush to buy things. There is a 7-Eleven and a market before entering the dam. I bought things 4 kilometers before reaching the dam, and it was very difficult to drive.

The first night, I camped at the Pa Sak Dam. The camping fee was 50 baht. There were restrooms nearby, and staff were on duty all night. Today, there were few people, only 3-4 tents. It was quiet, so I listened to music and the sounds of frogs and toads. It was so relaxing. 555.

This meal.

Saturday 9/9/60

Late Riser

Woke up late today, at 7:00 AM. Showered, packed my things, and had breakfast. Normally, I don't eat coffee or breakfast, but today I had a light meal.

We continued our journey at 9:00 AM sharp. We left the dam and took Highway 21, a straight and scenic road that was easy to navigate. We stopped for our third fuel refill, which cost around 90฿. During this stretch, gas stations were scarce, making it quite challenging. The fuel gauge was blinking red, indicating that we had 15 kilometers left before reaching the city of Lom Sak. We had to drive slowly and carefully. We made our fourth fuel stop, which cost around 110฿.

The journey was long. Along the way, I saw a sign for Wat Pha Sorn Kaew, so I stopped by. I arrived at the temple around 1:00 PM. There were a lot of people there.

.

13:30 Run back to continue to Phu Thap Boek. Half an hour to reach the intersection before going up the mountain. There will be a 7-11 and a gas station there. It is recommended to buy food, water, and alcoholic beverages from 7-11. Stop to fill up the tank for the 5th time ~ 70฿

Arriving at Phu Tub Berk at 2:30 PM. If you come on a weekend, it is recommended to arrive early. Because there are a lot of people. I pitched my tent near the top. Or at the viewpoint. Or at the temperature measurement point. There are a lot of people. Just pitch your tent wherever there is space.

Finished clearing things, looking for a place to charge my phone. Taking the power bank to charge. Service fee 40฿.

The upper level features a variety of shops and restaurants, including barbecue options. Prices are generally double those found on the lower level. (It is recommended to visit by car, if possible, as public transportation options are limited.)

Dinner tonight. It's sukiyaki again. Leftovers from what we ate at the dam. Bought 40฿ worth of extra pork.

In the late afternoon, the wind was quite strong. I hammered in 11 tent pegs. The tent next to me asked why I was using so many. "The wind isn't that strong," they said. An hour later, their tent collapsed. This is why I used 11 pegs.

I woke up at 5:00 AM to get a power bank, otherwise I wouldn't be able to reserve a spot. There were a lot of people. My iPhone battery died last night (the power bank was charging overnight). But actually, I woke up at 3:00 AM because the tents next to me collapsed. The wind was very strong, the anchors weren't staked, and the ropes weren't tied. It was noisy since 3:00 AM, so I couldn't sleep at all. My tent survived, haha. (The shop opens at 5:30 AM) I went to get the power bank and quickly charged it while waiting for the beautiful fog and clouds. ...

Disappointed. No fog, only wind. Just a little.

Before returning, I stopped by Wat Phu Thap Boek to visit the temple. I arrived at the temple at 9:00 AM, and there were many people there to make merit. As a result, I was unable to enter to pay respects to the Buddha. Therefore, I decided to return.

The return trip from Phu Thap Boek began at 09:15 and arrived in Pattaya at 19:00. The rain slowed down the driving. Four refueling stops were made on the way back, with fuel amounts of 80, 100, 70, and 95 liters. This concludes the trip to Phu Thap Boek.
