Review of Tomorrowland 2017

This trip was a dream I had since I was a student, and I was determined to go at least once before I got too old. This year, I finally had the chance to go shortly after getting married, so it was also a honeymoon trip. Overall, it was an amazing trip. We loved everything, from the newspapers to the bathrooms. And of course, the music and atmosphere at the event were unforgettable. If you're an EDM fan, this is a must-see event.

Ticket Booking:

To book tickets, Tomorrowland will initially open registration for those interested in purchasing tickets.

The first 20 people from each country to register will have the right to purchase a total of 4 tickets each during the Pre-sale.

The website had a countdown timer indicating when registration would open. Determined to be among the first twenty, we gathered everyone in the house to open their computers and wait for the registration to begin. After about two weeks, we received an email informing us that we had secured the right to purchase tickets as one of the first twenty in the country. We were overjoyed, as we hadn't anticipated it would be so simple.

After securing our tickets, my partner and I deliberated over the most suitable package for our needs. We considered options ranging from overnight stays within the event venue to combined tourism packages with event entry, or simply purchasing entry tickets and seeking external accommodation.

In the end, we decided to go all out since we were already there, just like everyone else. We opted to stay in the Dreamville area (a short walk from the Tomorrowland festival zone).

For the Dreamville package, we still had to choose which type of accommodation we wanted: self-pitching tents, pre-pitched tents, or rooms. The prices varied depending on the option chosen. (Those who are interested can check the prices on the website.) Initially, my partner and I opted for the room option, thinking it would be more comfortable. However, when we finally booked our tickets, only the Easy Tent package, which includes pre-pitched tents, was available. We were initially hesitant about sleeping in a tent, as we had never done it before. But with no other options, we decided to book it anyway. (We figured it was better than not getting tickets at all.)

The bracelet for the event will be a wristband like this.

DREAMVILLE:

At Dreamville, you are allowed to bring your own food and drinks, with the exception of glass bottles. To save money, my partner and I filled plastic water bottles with liquor for pre-drinking before entering the event. This is a common practice there. We also brought snacks to have on hand in case we got hungry, which was a great idea as it saved us from having to wait in long lines for food.

This rainbow entrance is iconic. Anyone who comes to Dreamville must take a picture with this rainbow. If you don't take a picture, you'll be extremely disappointed.

Upon entering Dreamville, if you book the same package as your friends, it is recommended to arrive together to claim your tents. The accommodation is allocated on a first-come, first-served basis, meaning those who arrive earlier will be closer to the entrance and exits. Those who arrive later will be assigned tents further away. Fortunately, my friends and I were lucky to get tents that were not too far. After setting up our tents, we explored the surroundings to assess the other campers. We were a bit apprehensive at first, but the other campers turned out to be friendly and respectful. We exchanged greetings, shared lighters, and helped each other inflate air mattresses. After meeting our neighbors, we went to find the restrooms and showers. The showers have specific operating hours, so it's important to plan your showers accordingly. If you prefer hot showers, there is a fee. However, there are also free showers available, which are similar to the showers used to rinse off before entering a swimming pool. The restrooms are public and consist of individual stalls. They are exceptionally clean, and the entire Dreamville area is constantly maintained by cleaning staff, ensuring there are no unpleasant odors. So, if you're worried about the living conditions, rest assured that they are well-maintained and comfortable.

Easy Tent Zone: A Village-like Atmosphere without the Hassle of Bringing Your Own Tent

This sentence describes the Easy Tent Zone at a festival or camping event. The key points are:

  • No need to bring your own tent: This zone provides pre-set tents for campers, eliminating the hassle of carrying and setting up their own equipment.
  • Village-like atmosphere: The zone is designed to create a communal and friendly environment, resembling a village with its layout and amenities.

TOMORROWLAND 2017

Let's move on to the actual work itself. Let the images speak for themselves.

The Mainstage is stunning and magnificent.

Standing there in that moment was incredibly romantic.

PASS COMFORTABLY:

The comfort pass offers several advantages, including a dedicated lane for faster entry, access to a building with food and drinks, complimentary snacks, clean restrooms, and a hot spring bath (bring your swimsuit!).

Free snacks (but not really free, haha)

The bathroom is amazing. I was going to hold it in until my partner told me I had to go. 55

Contrary to popular belief, this event is not just about getting messy. There are also upscale restaurants available, but reservations are required. They will serve a multi-course meal with a glass of wine. Additionally, the view will be of the main stage, which is stunning (but be aware that photos will be backlit).

Each guest will receive a glass of wine today. You may choose between white or red wine.

The main course has arrived!

It's time to go home.

The journey home was amazing. Even those who took the train back to other countries received newspapers from the Tomorrowland event. This made us feel that the organizers paid great attention to detail. For those who are fans of EDM, I highly recommend attending this event at least once in your life.
