“The color is so beautiful, but the name is so sad. How can an island hate anyone?”
This is a song that Mom Rajawongse Thanat Sri used to sing so beautifully about this island.
A classic destination for many travelers, Koh Sichang is easily accessible from Bangkok. Just a few hours away, you'll find beautiful beaches, crystal-clear water, and historical landmarks.
A popular resort destination from the past to the present.
=========================
Koh Sichang is so close. I've driven past Chonburi many times, but this is my first time visiting Koh Sichang.
And I had the opportunity to stay at the Somewhere Koh Sichang Hotel, one of the Cape & Kantary Hotel chains.
There are many luxury hotels in various locations throughout Thailand. This time, I will take you to stay at Koh Sichang, including various tourist attractions.
If you come here, you should not miss it.
Traveling from Bangkok to Koh Sichang is a breeze. Whether you're driving your own car and setting your GPS for Sriracha district, or taking a bus or van from Ekamai Bus Terminal in Bangkok to Sriracha, getting there is easy. **By Van:** Take a van to Robinson Sriracha and then a tuk-tuk to the Charoen Pier. **By Car:** If you're staying at the Somewhere Koh Sichang Hotel, you can park your car at the Kantary Bay Sriracha Hotel, which is part of the same group as the Somewhere Koh Sichang Hotel. The hotel has 24-hour security and will arrange for a car to take you to the pier. From there, you can take a ferry for 50 baht per person, which departs every hour. **Getting Around Koh Sichang:** The most convenient and accessible way to explore Koh Sichang is by renting a motorbike for around 250 baht per day. You can also take a Skylab tour, which is affordable. **The Lighthouse:** The lighthouse at the pier on the island is a welcoming landmark, signaling your arrival on Koh Sichang. It's the first stop on your tour and a must-capture photo opportunity.

The second point of interest before reaching the main accommodation, which is a major landmark for everyone visiting Ko Sichang, is the Phra Chudadhut Rajathan, the only royal palace on an island in Thailand. It is another important historical tourist attraction that should not be missed.
The third point of interest is located within the palace grounds. A short walk up the hill leads to the Phra Chedi Ubosot of Wat Atsadang Nimit, offering stunning views of the sea.
Somewhere Koh Sichang: A Tranquil Escape on the Island of Si Chang
Nestled on the picturesque island of Si Chang, just a short distance from the mainland, lies Somewhere Koh Sichang, a charming haven for those seeking a tranquil escape. Easily accessible and offering convenient transportation options, Si Chang is the perfect destination for a day trip. However, for those who wish to fully immerse themselves in the island's natural beauty, a single day may not suffice. This captivating hotel invites guests to embrace the island's serenity, offering a unique opportunity to connect with nature's wonders. Whether you're seeking a romantic getaway or a rejuvenating solo retreat, Somewhere Koh Sichang provides the perfect ambiance for relaxation and rejuvenation.
Somewhere Hotel Koh Sichang is a charming small hotel located just 5 minutes from the pier. Guests can conveniently use the hotel's car service for pick-up. With 20 rooms, 10 on each floor, the hotel features a swimming pool decorated in blue and white tones. The front of the hotel consists of a small house that houses the lobby, The Verandah Restaurant, and the swimming pool. As a small hotel with only 20 rooms, Somewhere Hotel Koh Sichang offers a quiet and private atmosphere.
All 20 rooms at this accommodation are Deluxe rooms.
During my stay, I was on the second floor with a view of the sea and the swimming pool.
The rooms are fully equipped with amenities and beautifully decorated.
The color scheme is mainly blue and white, which is pleasing to the eye.
Each room features a private balcony, allowing residents to enjoy the fresh air and scenic views. The balconies are equipped with comfortable lounge chairs and a small table and chairs set, providing a perfect spot for relaxation.
The room also has a sofa for relaxing, which is placed in a perfect position, making the room feel less cramped.
The hotel's swimming pool is located in front of the guest room building, between the restaurant and the adjacent lawn. It is suitable for families with children who can run and play in the space provided.

The Verandah Restaurant: A Culinary Oasis at the Heart of the Resort
The Verandah Restaurant serves as the resort's main dining venue, offering breakfast, lunch, and dinner in both indoor and outdoor settings. Guests can indulge in a delectable selection of Thai and Western cuisine, or simply relax with a cup of coffee and soak in the tranquil ambiance.
During my stay, I found myself frequently returning to The Verandah for its convenient location and delicious food. The restaurant's outdoor seating provided a refreshing escape from the afternoon heat, while the indoor area offered a more intimate dining experience. The menu boasted a diverse range of dishes, catering to all palates.
One particularly memorable experience was enjoying a cup of coffee in the late afternoon, relishing the tranquility of the surroundings. The restaurant's ambiance perfectly complemented the resort's overall atmosphere, creating a truly relaxing and enjoyable experience.
While I cannot claim to be a culinary expert, I found the food at The Verandah to be consistently delicious and satisfying. The restaurant's commitment to using fresh, high-quality ingredients was evident in every dish.
Overall, The Verandah Restaurant proved to be a culinary highlight of my stay at the resort. Its convenient location, diverse menu, and delightful ambiance made it the perfect spot for both casual meals and leisurely afternoons.
Breakfast is served buffet-style.

After a good night's sleep and a hearty breakfast, we set off on our two-wheeled adventure around the island. At this fourth point, we encountered the local atmosphere, with houses, shops, and restaurants lining the roadside. Wild boars frequently greeted us as we passed by. This island is truly unique in that wild boars roam freely on the streets. In other places, they would likely have ended up in someone's frying pan.
The fifth point of interest is the Khao Yai Shrine, located on a hill not far from the accommodation. The Khao Yai Shrine is a sacred place revered by the people of Koh Sichang. The top of the hill is a cave that has been converted into a religious site, offering stunning views of the houses on the front of the island.
Point 6: A short walk from the Khao Yai Shrine is the Phra Phutthabat footprint, located high on the mountaintop. This spot offers stunning panoramic views of the surrounding sea.
Point 7: Khao Khad Viewpoint - A Must-See Destination
Khao Khad Viewpoint, located on the backside of Ko Sichang, offers breathtaking scenery. A bridge extends towards the headland, providing a scenic walkway and a stunning vantage point to witness the sunset.
Ranked 8th, Tham Phang Beach is a must-visit destination. Located on the western side of the island, Tham Phang Beach boasts a curved bay with a wide sandy beach. The beach is ideal for swimming, with clear water and soft sand. Visitors can relax on the beach chairs or enjoy the stunning views from the high vantage point overlooking the beach.
Heading north from Ao Tham Phang Nga Bay, you will encounter Laem Chakpong, a stunning rocky promontory jutting out into the sea. This picturesque headland offers breathtaking sunset views and is a popular spot for local fishermen.
Point 10: "Life is still beautiful" following in the footsteps of Toon with the music video filming location. There are rock formations in the back and a view of the sea with the sunset in front. If you want to follow, drive all the way to the end of the road, which is the last point of this trip to Ko Si Chang.
How do you like the 9 tourist attractions and 1 rest stop on Koh Sichang that I have presented?
However, the beautiful places on Koh Sichang are not limited to these. There are many other places that I have not visited.
It can be said that Koh Sichang, this small island, has a charm and natural beauty that is not inferior to other places.
For those who are planning to travel, I recommend staying on the island for a night or two.
And if you are looking for a cute, clean accommodation with various amenities,
Somewhere Hotel "SOMEWHERE KOH SICHANG" is a must-visit option.
