Day 1 : Depart for Ban Nong Luang + Play 11 zip lines

Lao SIM card for social media addicts, including both Net SIM and phone SIM, costs 60 baht, including a change fee of 120 baht. The OP can top up for 60 baht, including insertion. The net signal is only available in Nong Luang village, and there is no signal in the forest. Lao currency is not required, and Thai currency can be used (most importantly, it is hardly used).

A car from Tree Top picked us up in front of the coffee shop, Dao Coffee, and we got in the car to travel to Ban Nong Luang.

Our team members spent approximately 2 hours traveling.

And then we arrived at Nong Luang village. The air was incredibly fresh and peaceful. The adorable children, curious and playful, gathered around to watch us. Those of us who had snacks shared them with the children.

The first meal was a feast, as the journey ahead was long. Simple, local dishes were served: boiled vegetables, boiled eggs, chili paste, sweet pork, fried fish cakes, and a generous portion of sticky rice. (It was delicious!)

After lunch, we learned how to wear the equipment for ZipLine from the Tree Top staff.
At first, it was a bit confusing because there were many parts, this one connected to that, that one connected to this, and that one connected to that. In the end, I just stood there and let the staff do it for me (easy peasy). After putting it on, I felt heavier. Just myself and my bag were heavy. Oh well, for the sake of fun and challenge, I thought it was a prop that went well together. 5555555+

Alright! We're all set and ready to go! After learning how to properly wear our equipment, it's time to strike a pose and take some memorable photos before we embark on our journey. 5555+

This is what a full-on, intense ZipLine experience looks like.

The initial section of the trail follows a red dirt road through a coffee plantation. After a long and tiring walk, the sound of a 4x4 approaching from behind was a welcome relief.

Jumping on a truck carrying goods for a temple donation ceremony (a unique experience). Judging from everyone's faces, there was a sense of joy.

We were fortunate to arrive during the town's annual fabric offering festival, where we were treated to a delicious spread of local delicacies, including rice sandwiches, coffee, and noodles. The Lao people were incredibly hospitable.

The grandmother was very kind (even though we couldn't understand each other). She kept giving us Laotian rice sandwiches, which were delicious.

After enjoying the food from the Tod Pha Pa ceremony, it's time to get ready for the exciting ZipLine adventure!

After walking for about half an hour, we encountered the first thrilling point: a single-line sling bridge over the water. We were excited and a little nervous as we had to hook ourselves onto the sling and walk across the water. The bridge was about ten meters long, and it was quite a thrill to walk across it, especially with other people walking on it at the same time. It felt like it might collapse at any moment.

After that, walk through the coffee plantation and into the forest for about 50 minutes. The path is quite steep to very steep.

The next stop is a waterfall, which can be reached by crossing a very high suspension bridge.

The adventure begins with the first zipline, passing through trees and waterfalls alternately. There are some sections where you need to walk to connect to the next zipline.

The drop point is extremely high.

Those who brake before reaching the shore will have to swim to safety, and sometimes officers have to rappel down to assist them.

We then walked downstairs to play another zipline.

Bidding farewell to the day's final light, we traversed 11 ziplines and hiked to our accommodation at Treetop. Our guide provided details on mealtimes: dinner at 6:30 PM, breakfast at 8:30 AM, and electricity availability from 6 PM to 9 PM.

Ensure all ZipLine equipment is removed and hung properly (remember the order).

Translated.

The treehouse we stayed in had stairs, which was convenient as we didn't need to wear a zipline harness to enter.

The treetop accommodation has a private bathroom with a flush toilet. We slept under mosquito nets with mattresses and sleeping bags. The air was cool and comfortable, but there were quite a few insects.

The first dinner of the trip was a simple buffet with potato soup, vegetable salad with boiled eggs, stir-fried meat with oyster sauce, and "kway teow lui suan" (noodles with vegetables and sauce). After dinner, we returned to our accommodation to recharge our batteries.

The atmosphere here is serene and beautiful. The sound of the waterfall is constant, and the air is fresh. Our dining area (gathering point) is located in front of the waterfall, offering a close-up view.

A new day begins with refreshing air and a cool temperature of 15-20 degrees Celsius. After washing my face and brushing my teeth, I prepare breakfast. This morning, I have French bread, butter, eggs, watermelon, tea, and coffee.

The view is beyond description, with the majestic Tad Khamid waterfall as its backdrop.

Day 2: Approximately 13 zip lines and waterfall rappelling

The journey begins with a descent down a waterfall, requiring a 500-meter hike through steep forest terrain.

The first group to rappel down the waterfall arrives and takes a quick selfie.

After rappelling down, they ziplined back to the treehouse to change clothes before tackling the 13 zipline course.

The longest zipline is 450 meters long.

If the boat brakes before reaching the shore, it must be pulled to the side. Sometimes, officers have to rappel down to pick it up.

The U-shaped sling climb is a full-body workout.

After completing the zipline and U-shaped sling climb, a 15-minute hike through a steep path through the humid forest and bamboo grove leads to a final scramble over a rocky cliff before returning to the treehouse accommodation.

Day 3: Farewell Nong Luang, Hello Thailand

As dinnertime approached, the menu differed from the first evening. While the dessert (pumpkin in syrup) was a treat, the savory dishes were devoured so quickly that we didn't manage to capture them on camera. The food was delicious, and after the meal, we returned to our accommodations.

The third day of our trip began with washing up and packing our belongings from the treehouse before heading down for breakfast.

This morning's breakfast menu includes rice porridge, bread, butter, fried eggs, coffee, and watermelon. The scenery remains beautiful and relaxing as usual.

Thank you to the Treetop staff and Pan Nim for taking us on this fun adventure.

After a satisfying meal, it's time to get dressed and embark on the return journey.

The sling must be locked in place as we move. It's amazing, I really like it.

After scaling the cliff, we arrived at the top of Tad Khammued Waterfall and continued on foot to Ban Nong Luang.

We then traveled back to Nong Luang village, showered, changed clothes, and prepared for our return journey.

My last meal in Laos was a delicious stir-fried rice with egg, canned fish, and vegetables.

Return to the border by car at Chong Mek, preparing to cross the border back home.

Thank you for the journey, thank you for the companions, and thank you to Neam Klookfun.

This brought me joy and fun once again.

Thank you for visiting.
