I had no idea what Phayao had to offer until I came across the 'Baan Ton Tao' homestay online. It was so adorable that I knew I had to go. And so, this trip came to be...

On this trip, I went with two other followers I met on a trip to Ban Na Ton Chan, Sukhothai ( https://goo.gl/AwckYv ). They are Nong Mai and P'Dream. The three of us left Bangkok by bus from theสมบัติทัวร์ bus company at Mo Chit, which took about 9 hours. We arrived at the Phayao bus station and had a quick breakfast nearby before setting off on our adventure!

From Phayao Bus Terminal, take a shared taxi (songthaew) on the Phayao-Wat Analayo route.
You can get off at Ban Bua village directly. However, there is only one trip per day.
The departure time is 11:00 AM. You can contact Uncle Sak at 086-1987489 beforehand.
If Uncle Sak is not available, you will need to hire a taxi for approximately 300 baht.
Alternatively, you can rent a motorbike nearby and ride to the accommodation yourself.

We have arrived at Baan Ton Tao! The first impression is amazing! The house is made of white concrete with light wood accents. It is divided into two parts: a restaurant + cafe and a residence. The two parts are connected by a bridge in the middle of the house. There is a pond in front of the house and a stream behind it. It's absolutely beautiful! Let's start with the restaurant first.

At Baan Ton Tao Food & Coffee, you don't have to stay overnight to enjoy their services. They are open from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM and offer a variety of affordable savory and sweet dishes, as well as drinks. The atmosphere is fantastic, with a stream flowing through the property and a beautiful garden filled with vegetables and ornamental plants. Ping thinks girls will especially love this place!

The dishes we ordered were Khao Baan Ton Tao, the restaurant's signature dish, and spaghetti with bacon and dried chili. Here's what they looked like...

While waiting to check in to our room, we took a walk around the area.
It was so relaxing. I've always thought that if I ever have my own house,
I'd want it to be like this - white and brown with trees all around.
This place has given me so many ideas! 5555555

This is a simple and short sentence.

‘ Sister !! You can enter the room now. ‘
The voice of one of the sisters came from afar. We and the other 2 minions
We rushed to lift the bag into the room because the body was very sticky.
I haven't taken a shower since this morning. What I love right now
is the room - water - has - a machine - to make - hot water, wow.

As mentioned in the review title, the room rate here is only 320 baht per person per night, including breakfast. Although the room is not luxuriously designed, we still feel it is worth the price. The beds are comfortable, there is wifi, towels, and electrical outlets. After showering, we rolled around on the bed for a while before getting up to explore the living area of Baan Ton Tao.

This is a true homestay experience, as the owners open their home to tourists like us to stay and live as if we were their own children or grandchildren for a night or two. It's not a capitalist venture where houses are built and then left for villagers to manage. This creates a different kind of warmth. <3

Around 5 pm, we had the idea to go for a walk at the walking street. After checking online, we found out that there was a walking street in front of Kwan Phayao. The three of us got on our trusty motorbike and headed out. The atmosphere in Ban Bua village was lovely. There was a temple, shops, and a community product center. All in all, this village is 'alive'. :’)

It took us about 30-35 minutes to reach the walking street, but it was definitely worth it. The atmosphere was lively, with a wide variety of food and goods available. After browsing for a while, we decided on our meal: stir-fried minced pork salad, northern Thai chili paste, grilled northern Thai sausage, boiled vegetables, and sticky rice. Fortunately, the walking street had mats and tables set up for people to eat, so we enjoyed our meal right there.

We were having a nice meal when the sky suddenly turned dark. A moment later, thunder roared. We quickly moved our things and drove back to our accommodation at lightning speed. Upon arrival, we all passed out. We planned to wake up early for the morning market, but none of us could manage it. Hahahaha. Who would want to wake up on a day with such pleasant weather?

Breakfast at Baan Ton Tao is all-you-can-eat rice porridge with pork.
And local snacks that we've never seen before :D

Our two-day, one-night stay at Baan Ton Tao was truly heartwarming. The cost was only 320 baht per person. If you're interested, you can contact them through their Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/Bantontao/
