Temple 1: Wat Yai Chaimongkol

The temple, originally known as "Wat Pa Kaeo" or "Wat Chao Thai," is situated on the southeastern side of Ko Phra Nakhon.

The temple's most prominent feature is its large stupa, believed to have been renovated during the reign of King Naresuan the Great. Inside the ordination hall, the sacred Buddha statue, Phra Phuttha Chaiyamongkol, serves as the principal image.

Temple 2: Wat Mahathat

One of the temples within the Ayutthaya Historical Park, Wat Phra Si Sanphet played a significant role during the Ayutthaya Kingdom. It housed the sacred relics of the Buddha and served as the residence of the Supreme Patriarch of the Khamwawasi sect. This royal temple is situated on the west bank of the Chao Phraya River. King U-Thong constructed it on the site of his royal pavilion before establishing Ayutthaya as the capital.

Unlike other temples, Wat Phutthaisawan was spared destruction by enemies, preserving its beautiful and intact ancient structures for visitors to admire.

Some of the desserts I had only heard of before, and this was the first time I saw them. The highlight was trying Thai coffee with Thai desserts for the first time at this shop. It was delicious, with a unique and indescribable harmony of flavors. I highly recommend it.
