It's time for another cold weather adventure! Today, #PareAekTrip will take you to a place everyone wants to visit, a short distance from the capital, just one night away. Let's go! What are you waiting for?
Our journey began in the late hours of the night from Bangkok, aiming to reach our first destination by lunchtime. We had a lunch appointment scheduled in the middle of the water (we'll be dragging it down to eat in the water, haha!). What could it be?...
Date 1
Here we go, we're going to drag it down into the water to eat it. 555 We're dragging the raft, not the chicken. Hehehe.
This is the Huai Krathing Reservoir in Loei Province. The atmosphere is amazing!
To use the service here, simply choose a restaurant and a floating raft. Once you have agreed on a price, order your food from the shore for the first round. If you want to order more, you can do so later on the raft.
After ordering your food, you can board the raft and prepare to head out to the middle of the water. A boat will take you there and your food will be served later. While you wait, you can take photos on the raft at your leisure.
The food has arrived. Does it look delicious? It's also very tasty, I can assure you. If you need more food, a boat will deliver it to you. Once you've finished eating, simply raise the flag and the restaurants will know to send a boat to tow you back to shore.
Take your time, the cool breeze in the middle of the water is comfortable, just sit and relax.
One last photo before we set off again. Gotta give it to him, he's the one who brought us here after all. Credits where credits are due.
With full bellies, we continued our journey, traveling over 60 kilometers in about an hour to reach the agricultural tourism center.
High-altitude agriculture in Phu Ruea. This point is not far from Phu Ruea National Park. Anyone who wants to come up here, the road will be a bit steep, but it's not dangerous. What's up here? Let's go see.
There are trees and flowers.
With scenic views and agricultural transformation.
There are pine trees and lovely people. (This is personal, haha)
Beautiful light
And the sun sets behind the mountain (not behind us, haha).
It's getting dark, time to head back. Where are we going? We've booked accommodation at Phu Ruea National Park for tonight. We'll continue our journey tomorrow.
Day 2
The program for the day is to wake up at 4:00 AM to climb to the top of Phu Ruea mountain. We will sit and wait to see the sea of mist and the sunrise behind the mountain (behind the mountain, not behind us, haha). Let's go and see what we can see!
The temperature before boarding was 19°C. It might seem chilly, but we're a laid-back bunch, so it's probably not that cold. (Or is it?)
Go follow above, is it really chill?
We have finally reached the top, but it is still pitch black. We made a great effort to capture this sign (no one is blocking the view now because it's so dark, haha).
The people have been waiting for quite some time. The light is starting to come through, and the fog is beginning to clear (although it is still very dense). It remains to be seen whether the sun will rise behind the mountain. They wait, and wait, and wait.
The sun has finally arrived, albeit a little late. The sea of mist had already descended upon the mountain, leaving the sun trailing behind.
Don't be confused, my friends, what is he talking about? So much 555 It's just the mountain view, you know.
Stroll around, taking photos continuously.
The temperature below is 19°C, but up here it's only 16°C. If you're curious about how we're feeling up here, I can tell you without shame that the wind is so strong that our noses are running. We didn't even realize when it started because our faces are numb and our hands are so numb that we can't even feel the shutter button (and I'm not exaggerating, the wind is really making it even colder).
After a brief respite to shake off the lingering chill, we descended to collect our belongings and prepare for our return journey.
However, our fun didn't end there. On our way back, we stopped at many more places.
First, stop by the Christmas festival, just a short distance down from Phu Ruea.
A lot of red.
Feel free to walk around. It's sunny, windy, cool, hot, and comfortable. 555
Let's continue our journey. We will travel 40 kilometers for 1 hour to pay respects at Phra That Si Song Rak.
The white stupa stands majestically in the open air.
Ending with this picture, we continued our journey for another 3 km, 10 minutes to reach the final destination.
The final destination before the long journey to Bangkok, the City of Angels, is Wat Neramit Vipassana, where one can pay respects to sacred objects.
May you be blessed with all that is good and beautiful.
This temple is large, beautiful, peaceful, and truly magnificent.
Let's cherish this grand and beautiful memory and continue our journey towards Bangkok, our home. With a distance of over 400 kilometers, the journey will take approximately 6 hours. We will allocate only 2 days for sightseeing, ensuring everyone has enough energy to continue working. May everyone have a safe journey during their travels.
