Getting There
Heading to Mon Cham:
- Take the yellow songthaew (shared taxi) from Kad Luang (Waroros Market) to Mae Rim - Samoeng. Get off at the 7-Eleven before the ascent to Mon Cham (40 baht). Call your accommodation for a pick-up.
- Return: Your accommodation will drop you off at the 7-Eleven before the climb to Mon Cham. Wait for the yellow songthaew back to Chiang Mai city.
Pack your bags, grab your warm clothes, and let's go!
Let's start with 'Baan Wanya'.
The sight of the coffee-sipping balcony extending along the mountainside indicates that we have arrived! The atmosphere is fantastic. The surroundings are terraced vegetable plots and village views. Even if you don't stay here, you can stop by for a coffee and take some beautiful photos. They are not possessive.
I arrived at the hotel long before check-in time, so I took a walk and took some photos. From the hotel, you can walk down to the vegetable plots. You can take photos up close, but be careful not to touch or step on the plants. It will be beautiful like this. Let's share it with each other.
After exploring the surroundings of Baan Wanya, it's time to check out our room! *O*
There are three types of rooms here: Baan Hin, Baan Glong Lek, and Baan Glong Yai. The Baan Glong rooms are what attract people to stay here, and they really are attractive! They look so modern. We stayed in a Baan Glong Lek, which costs 1,590 baht for 2 people per night. The Baan Glong Yai costs 2,090 baht for 4 people per night. Both prices include breakfast. :D
The interior is furnished with a mattress, bed sheets, blankets, a sofa, a TV, a private bathroom with a water heater, and Wi-Fi. Air conditioning and a refrigerator are probably not necessary, as the room is already cool.
Every room has a private balcony, so you can wake up in the morning and breathe in the fresh air!
The Baan Wanyaa offers a delicious pork hotpot for only 500 baht per set. You can order it from the staff and enjoy it either on the shared balcony or on your private balcony. It's recommended to purchase additional meat and vegetables as the set might not be enough to satisfy your hunger. However, we haven't tried it yet tonight. We're planning to have it at Mon Mong, so stay tuned for updates! <3
This is a blank paragraph.
The scene cuts to 6:00 AM the next day.
On the balcony in front of our room, the fog was thick and the rain was falling lightly.
The temperature at that time was 16 degrees Celsius.
Bangkok will never experience this kind of weather, haha!
This is a blank paragraph.
Our breakfast was so simple.
Rice porridge with hot Ovaltine in the mist.
After eating, we went back to sleep and checked out at noon.
Then we took a car to Mon Mong. Oh! Almost forgot,
If you are interested in staying at Baan Wanya, please contact 097-932-2282.

We have arrived at 'Mon Mong', a small and lovely house
in the style of the Hmong tribe. It's a place where friends can relax to their heart's content.
Because if you come without a car, you have to stay here all day. 5555555
The entrance is very difficult, I tell you.
We offer four types of rooms at three different prices.
Standard room: 900 baht / 2 people / night
Treehouse and Bird's Nest: 1,200 baht / 2 people / night
Double Bird's Nest: 2,700 baht / 4 people / night
Breakfast included. Contact us at:
093-284-9667, 083-324-4950
Let's take a look at the treehouse first. There is only one, and it has two bedrooms and two bathrooms. It can accommodate two or four people. This house is the most private, as it is far from the other houses.
This is a paragraph with no text.
And this is our bird's nest house, wooowwww!!
The house is low like a hobbit house lol5555555
There is a balcony for chilling, but the downside is that there is no shelter from the rain.
If it rains, we can't eat barbecue because it's not allowed to eat in the room.
Unless we go to sit in another room that is not occupied.
The room has a double bed and a private bathroom.
Towels, a kettle, coffee, and Ovaltine are provided.
However, there is no Wi-Fi or TV.
The atmosphere is different from Yaya's house.
A quick peek at the standard room
This is a two-story birdhouse. It can accommodate four people and has a unique design.
The View from Mon Mong
The view from Mon Mong is breathtaking, encompassing mountains, villages, and mist.
This photo captures the evening atmosphere of this stunning location.
Don't forget to take a picture on the protruding balcony for a truly unique perspective.
Dinner was delayed until almost 8 pm due to a sudden downpour. Our bird's nest house lacked shelter, so we sought refuge in a nearby bird's nest house. We ordered a set of barbecue, but were disappointed by the small portion size for the 500 baht price. We highly recommend bringing your own ingredients if you plan to stay there. Despite my hunger, I was willing to order another set, but the caretaker informed me that they were out of ingredients and offered rice instead. I ended up filling myself with vegetables and instant noodles later in the evening.

Waking up early to see the sunrise, but couldn't find the sun.
Found only fog and a bowl of pork porridge (again).
To be honest, I was a little disappointed. I think 600 baht/night should give us more than this. The rice was very little, and there were no vegetables. Many people said that this place was dirty, but when we went, it was clean. However, there were some minor problems, such as the water not flowing, the food running out, and communication problems with the people at the accommodation. Please improve it. We are rooting for you.
The trip to Ban Hwaya and Mon Mong is over, but our Chiang Mai trip is not over yet. We went to stay at 'Praw Phu Fah' for another night. It is a white hotel with a good heart in Mae Rim district. You can read the review at this link https://goo.gl/pRxc1a
