With tired legs and an overloaded brain, I longed for rest and relaxation. Coincidentally, I received an invitation to explore the three Sukosol hotels in Pattaya. This serendipitous opportunity led to a romantic getaway with my significant other to the vibrant city of Pattaya.

In mid-October, I had the pleasure of staying at three Sukosol hotels in Pattaya: Wave Hotel, The Bayview, and Siam Bayshore. We spent one night at each hotel, feeling like we were on a honeymoon (who's counting?). It was a chance to add a touch of sweetness and happiness to our relationship.

She smiled back at me, and the delicious food on the table was only part of it. What really made us smile was the overall atmosphere. To be honest, it was a perfect dinner, and I could tell she loved it. That's what mattered most to me at Wave Hotel.

While Wave Hotel may be considered small in terms of size, it excels in quality, charm, and artistic flair. It consistently ranks among the most enjoyable hotels in Pattaya, with over 70% of TripAdvisor reviews awarding it a perfect five-star rating.

Wave Hotel, the youngest sibling of the Sukosol Hotel chain in Pattaya, stands out from its older counterparts. Despite its four-story height, the hotel's vibrant and classic Miami-style décor catches the eye. (For those who have been to Miami, please let us know if the resemblance is accurate.) Situated on Pattaya Central Beach Road, it is just two hundred meters from Central Festival.

A bright blue building with a flamboyant pink Cadillac V-16 parked in front – that's Wave Hotel. Just stepping into the lobby, you might scream. The retro decor is stylish and impressive. Most of the ornaments are from the personal collection of Noi Pru – Kritsada Sukosol Clapp, the hotel owner.

The sight of the old cassette tapes brought back a flood of memories.

In its compactness lies its classicism. Next to the lobby is a restaurant, which is more photogenic than it is for dining, judging by its cuteness. It's called Cadillac Café and Bar, and its black, white, and pink color scheme is a perfect match.

The a la carte menu offers a wide variety of Thai and European dishes, all of which are delicious. For lunch, we enjoyed a traditional Thai meal of grilled chicken with jaew dipping sauce and sour curry with shrimp served in a coconut shell with young coconut meat. As an appetizer, we had nachos. If there were a word that could better describe the food than "delicious," I would use it.

Upon entering the hotel, the cacophony of Pattaya fades away, replaced by tranquility. This is due to the hotel's use of soundproof glass, an exceptional feature that effectively blocks external noise.

Step outside to admire the small but beautiful swimming pool. There are cabanas for lounging and relaxation. If you prefer a larger pool, you can visit The Bayview Hotel at the back, which is also part of the Sukosol group.

The rooms at Wave Hotel face the sea and all have balconies. There are two types: the standard Sunset Room and the Twilight Suite, which is a two-bedroom suite. For the two of us, the Sunset Room was more than enough.

Wave Hotel is said to be the perfect honeymoon hotel. It's no wonder, as the rooms are adorable, decorated in bright blue and white tones. The furniture and decorations are all top-notch, and of course, there are artistic touches in many corners.

The bathroom is very sexy, but the door can be closed. There is both a shower and a very large bathtub, which is larger than a normal bathtub.

The amenities in both the rooms and bathrooms are top-notch, as one would expect from a hotel of this caliber. The overall impression of the rooms is excellent.

This place is also a hotel that often surprises its guests. Like us, we received this chicken doll as a gift without asking. We were very impressed.

As the sun began its descent, we indulged in refreshing cocktails on the balcony, savoring the breathtaking sunset. This delightful experience was a triple treat for our senses.

By the pool, there is a small bar called Cabana Bar. After sunset, we can continue to relax here, or we can go to the beach club on the beach road to enjoy the nightlife of Pattaya. It's up to you.

While the Wave Hotel is undeniably beautiful during the day, it truly comes alive at night. The lighting and décor are meticulously designed, creating a stunning ambiance in both the lobby and the Cadillac Café. The atmosphere is undeniably romantic and inviting.

And the dinner I mentioned earlier is here. Chef Adisorn, the hotel's head chef, has prepared a full menu. We present a large taco as an appetizer. The main course includes a Lamb Shank, or braised lamb shank, the meat is so tender it practically melts in your mouth, and Duck Breast, or grilled duck breast, served with potato gratin and grilled vegetables. This dish is 100% delicious.

Savor delicious food in a pleasant atmosphere.

A dream dinner, to say the least.

At Wave Hotel, breakfast is served à la carte. If there are many guests, a small mini-buffet may be added. However, even with fewer guests, there is no need to worry, as the à la carte breakfast is the highlight. The buffet is merely a decorative element.

Thai breakfast is khao tom khao, Chinese breakfast is pork or chicken congee, and Japanese breakfast is grilled salmon with salad. There are more than 15 menus for you to choose from, such as various eggs, smoked salmon, sausages, bacon, soups, pancakes, waffles, French toast, etc. Cereals, yogurt, milk, and bakery are also available. All of these can be ordered unlimitedly. You can also order tea and coffee as you like. Simply put, a la cart at Wave Hotel is as diverse as a large buffet line, except that the staff is ready to serve you without having to pick up the food yourself. It's much more comfortable.

Our top picks for breakfast include scrambled eggs with herbs, smoked salmon served with scrambled eggs, clear soup with egg drop, French toast served with fruit, and pancakes with honey. This is a hearty breakfast that will keep you full until dinner.

While waiting for the check-out time, we sat by the pool, taking pictures with the cute corners in the lobby and the dining room. If I were to say that it was quite difficult for us to pack our bags, I think it would be the same for everyone who has stayed here. What hotel could be so lovely that it could capture our hearts like this?
