This review will take you on a weekend getaway to a relaxing and beautiful destination that you might not expect to offer such attractions. Get ready to be surprised by the hidden gems this city has to offer!

Let's hit the road without wasting any time! Our departure from Bangkok is scheduled for 6:00 AM. The journey will take approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes, covering a distance of 180 kilometers. We will be taking the Bang Bua Thong - Suphan Buri route, as our first destination is located in Suphan Buri, near the border of Uthai Thani.

For those planning a trip to Uthai Thani, you can make a quick detour to Uthai Devee 555 before continuing your journey.

After a comfortable three-hour drive, we arrived at our first destination.

This is the Krasiao Dam, located in Dan Chang District, Suphan Buri.

This dam is quite large and is surrounded by mountains.

The view was quite beautiful, so I had to take both selfies and set up the camera to take photos. 555

Anyone can walk on the dam crest, the wind is strong and comfortable.

The view is like being abroad. (Abroad or in the countryside?)

Let's continue our journey. We will travel by car for approximately 60 kilometers, which will take about 1 hour, to reach our next destination. We have now entered Uthai Thani.

This location is Wat Tham Khao Wong, Ban Rai District, Uthai Thani. From the entrance, you can see a large sala. Let's walk closer and see if this place can be the highlight of our trip.

Entering the Main Prayer Hall

It is recommended to enter the main prayer hall from the left side. The right side is designated for exiting, allowing visitors to pay respects and make offerings before leaving. Additionally, the left entrance typically experiences less foot traffic.

Getting prettier and prettier.

The temple is undeniably beautiful, grand, and unique in its design, unlike any other temple. It exudes a profound sense of tranquility.

You can go up to the top floor. I'll take you up there.

The top floor houses the majestic main Buddha statue, inviting visitors to pay their respects.

This upper floor is very peaceful. It is a place for walking meditation and sitting meditation.

Let's take a walk around the area. It's beautiful and peaceful.

Exquisitely beautiful.

One more wide shot before we leave.

Ready to continue the journey for another 60 kilometers, which will take a little over an hour.

After seeing the water and entering the temple, we will go to the cave next.

This is... according to the name, lol.

What is this place and what's inside? Follow me and you'll find out.

This is a popular spot for photos, so I'll take one too. 555

This cave is an open cave, not as dark as most of the caves I have visited.

Elderly people can walk comfortably, although they may need to use stairs in the initial stages. However, they can walk comfortably.

This is a hidden gem that visitors to this location must find. It is said that finding it is no easy feat, so friends, try your luck!

This painting is also one that I had to find, but I couldn't find it after walking around, so I took a picture of the replica sign to show you. Haha.

As the evening approaches, it's time to head to our accommodation.

This is a note to myself. I'm going to pretend I'm visiting a relative's house. Haha.

The accommodation is excellent. I highly recommend it to anyone traveling along this route.

Let's rewind a bit to the evening when we arrived at our accommodation. After settling in, we went for a stroll through the market and the walking street. The view from our accommodation is from the following morning (I'll skip the market and include the accommodation's atmosphere together). So, let's go back in time and see what the market was like and what it had to offer.

Let's continue to observe the atmosphere.

This is the name that locals call it: "Ya Hospital Alley".

Pregnant women can visit the clinic in the hospital alley or the municipal fresh market, which are located next to each other. There is a wide variety of food available.

We bid farewell under the twinkling lights of the market where we strolled.

Sweet dreams, brothers and sisters. We will continue our journey in the morning.

Checking out of the accommodation early in the morning to continue the journey with this picture. Hehe.

Our next destination is Wat Pha Tang, where we will pay respects to the large Luang Pho To statue.

Beneath the base of the revered Luang Pho To, there are various Buddha statues representing different days of the week, each serving as an object of worship.

Entering a temple requires a lotus flower.

With a calm and peaceful mind, we continued our journey. The next destination was the final one. Why was it saved for last? Come and see.

Wat Sangkat Rattanakhiri, also known as Yot Khao Sakae Krang, is a temple renowned for its religious traditions, particularly one that attracts a multitude of devotees. This tradition is known as:

The Tak Bat Thewo tradition is found in the Buddhist legend, "Thewo Rohana Sutra." Tak Bat Thewo comes from the word "Thewo Rohana," which means the descent of the Lord Buddha from heaven. Based on this Buddhist legend, Buddhists in Uthai Thani Province have jointly organized this event as a tradition for a long time. Monks from every district in Uthai Thani Province will gather at the top of Sa Kae Krang Hill to receive alms from Buddhists by descending 449 steps.

** **

The climb was tiring, as expected, but with so many companions, it was definitely manageable.

After a tiring walk, we stopped to admire the view and the city to refresh ourselves before continuing our journey back to Bangkok, the City of Angels.

This weekend, if you're looking for a unique travel experience that combines sightseeing and religious devotion, consider these destinations. You'll have a memorable trip filled with both adventure and spiritual fulfillment. Don't miss out, friends!
