In the time that I thought I would see the whole mountain full of pink from the flowers of the Wild Himalayan Cherry (Thai sakura), I packed my bags and traveled from Bangkok, the City of Angels, to the city of mountains, to see the whole mountain full of pink. But then, I don't know if it was heaven's will or heaven's punishment, the mountain that should have been pink turned into what everyone will see from now on.

The following will be some irrelevant things. (Or not) As mentioned earlier, visiting the cherry blossoms is a good time, but it also depends on the weather. What do you mean? 555
Traveling from Bangkok to spend the night waiting to climb "Phu Lom Lo", we rented a tent to sleep in the Phu Lom Lo village, hoping to get up there before others (afraid of crowds and not being beautiful). We'll skip tonight altogether. (Let's just say it was the most exciting tent sleep ever! 555)
In the morning, we packed our belongings and waited for the car to pick us up to take us to Phu Lom Lo.
We went in this car. We asked to have a simple breakfast. The uncle took us to eat. He was really kind.
Here's a simple breakfast, isn't it? 555 Fried egg with rice that many people know.
After finishing lunch, I prepared myself (the coverall was intended to protect against dust, but it didn't work at all).
Ready to depart, just sit back and relax. The car will stop at the first spot for you to take pictures.
The first stop was already amazing, with thick fog, strong wind, and dripping dew.
Let's go, don't be slow, or there will be a lot of people coming up. 555
The journey took approximately 30-45 minutes by car to reach this location.
However, upon arrival, there were no cherry blossoms to be seen, only a sign. The fog and rain added to the disappointment. The question remains: why did we come here?
Okay, since I'm already here, I might as well take a picture with the sign. A bittersweet smile, sigh, sigh, sigh, sigh, sigh.
A bare tree with a few flowers is not satisfying.
Got back on the bus, feeling a little bit of regret about the fare.
The car reversed a little. "Oh, Uncle didn't take us back the same way," I thought to myself. "Where are we going now?"
The elderly man took us to see the flowers on the higher ground, where there were more and more of them.
The scenic viewpoint offered no view, only thick fog, light rain, and strong winds.
Back in the car, the uncle said there would be more (we were excited, would there be more?).
There are some to be seen on this field, but not many.
However, what was truly special at that time was that the regret of the car fare disappeared, which was
The close proximity to the Queen of Flowers, so close that I could see inside the flower, was incredibly intimate. (I'm starting to feel happy.)
Summary of the trip:
- Pink mountains: The goal of seeing pink mountains was not achieved.
- Crowds: Despite concerns about large crowds, the trip was surprisingly uncrowded.
- Initial expense: The initial cost of transportation (1,xxx baht) was initially regretted, but this feeling has since changed.
- Overall value: The long journey was deemed highly worthwhile, with the emphasis conveyed through the repetition of "คุ้ม" (worthwhile) and the figurative expression "ก.ไก่ 5ล้านตัว" (5 million "k"s, representing a large number).
Additional notes:
- The trip involved visiting Phu Lom Lo to see the "Queen's Flower" (wild Himalayan cherry blossoms).
- The experience was described as unique and more enjoyable than seeing the mountains covered in pink flowers due to the combination of:
- Extreme weather: Heavy rain, strong winds, and dense fog.
- Presence of cherry blossoms: Despite the challenging conditions, the blossoms were still visible.
- The overall satisfaction is further emphasized by the repetition of "โครตคุ้ม" (extremely worthwhile) and the figurative expression "ม.ม้า 5 ล้านตัว" (5 million "m"s, representing an even larger number).
Therefore, it is not only during the winter season that one can enjoy the beauty of Phu Lom Lo. We invite everyone to research and try visiting during other times of the year. You might discover a new dimension of Phu Lom Lo, just like we did.
May everyone have a happy and enjoyable travel experience.
