Greanny Duo: Summer Vacation in Thailand

Hi everyone, we're Greanny Duo!

We're currently on summer break and back in Thailand. We couldn't wait to explore and have some fun!

Stay tuned for our travel adventures!

Today, we're going on a journey back in time to the authentic Thai style of the Mallika City.

Mallika City is located in Kanchanaburi province, not too far from Bangkok. You can visit for a day trip, but if you have time, we recommend staying for a night or two so you can explore other nearby attractions.

Mallika City is a living museum that recreates the atmosphere of Thailand in the year 1881. You can wander through the streets, visit traditional shops and houses, and even watch cultural performances.

Upon arriving at Mallika City, we wasted no time and headed straight to the Thai costume rental shop.

Upon arriving at Mallika City, a historical park in Thailand, we decided to fully immerse ourselves in the atmosphere of the fifth reign of King Rama V.

We opted to rent traditional Thai attire, specifically the "sabai" style, for the day. The rental prices are as follows:

Once you have chosen the Thai dress you want to wear, you can choose the color of the scarf and pants.

Choose any color you like, there are so many to choose from!

Once you have chosen your outfit, our staff will assist you in putting it on. Don't worry if you don't know how to wear it, we guarantee everyone will look stunning.

After the makeover, we had to take a group photo.

You can hop on our oxcart and take photos for a great experience.

After taking photos outside, it was time for us to walk into Mallika City, R.S. 124.

It seems like this place is big, but we can walk to all of it. For beautiful photos, we have to fight! 55

If you want to buy food or souvenirs here, you need to exchange money at the bank first. They don't accept Thai baht.

The Mallika City R.S. 124 shopping district feels like a retro market. It has everything from food and drinks to snacks and daily necessities.

At Mallika City, they make their own perfume and fragrant powder using flowers they grow themselves. The fragrance is incredibly strong and pleasant.

Taking photos around here is quite beautiful.

Walking around, I was tempted by the delicious smells of food, so I had to buy some to try.

The purple flower, a rare delicacy, is freshly made and sold at Mallika City. It is truly beautiful and delicious.

This coconut pancake is incredibly delicious! The outside is crispy, while the inside is fragrant and creamy. I asked the vendor for a hot one, and it arrived piping hot.

The drinks here come in bamboo cylinders, which is great for the environment. We ordered the butterfly pea and lime, which was refreshing and delicious. The best part is that you can take the cylinder home with you!

A must-buy souvenir from this place is the crispy rolled gold, which is made fresh in front of the shop.

We couldn't resist opening it up for a taste before it even arrived. It was delicious and not too sweet, very fresh.

Mallika City offers a wide variety of souvenirs for you to take home.

Feel free to browse around and find the perfect gift.

After a full meal, take a walk to digest.

Come to Mallika City, R.S. 124, as a couple and take beautiful photos.

Even if you come alone, you can still feel the vibe.

Come with friends, it's even better!

Feel free to choose any corner you like in Mallika City, R.S. 124.

It's like talking to a flower that understands, haha.

Mallika City features authentic Thai houses from the reign of King Rama V.

Her Thai identity shines through (even though she has a cute Chinese face, haha).

This is a mansion, a house of a wealthy person in that era. You can go up there.

Upstairs, there are older students working on traditional crafts, such as stringing flowers and carving fruits. It really feels like we've traveled back in time.

Come down and take a selfie with the beautiful view.

Oh, Jennie, are you selling peanuts now? 55

The Self-Sufficiency of Mallika City

Mallika City, a historical park in Thailand, stands out for its commitment to self-sufficiency. From cultivating and processing rice to crafting its own products, the city strives to create an immersive and authentic experience. This dedication to internal production sets Mallika City apart, making it a truly unique and engaging destination.

Let's learn about rice production.

Here, we can truly try everything and gain a wealth of new knowledge.

The fragrant aroma of rice led us here.

The uncle is cooking brown rice on a charcoal stove to welcome guests who will come to eat dinner tonight. Super fresh.

We'll be waiting to try your delicious cooking, Uncle. 55

At Mallika City, R.S. 124, these two popular buffaloes are still here. Turn around and look at us, please!

In the late afternoon, the beautiful sunset hues create a stunning visual spectacle.

happiest ever

This is the pavilion where we will have dinner. Dinner starts at 6:00 PM.

One more picture, please.

Upon arrival, the staff will escort you to your table for a truly authentic Thai-style dinner experience.

Cold roselle juice and crispy rice crackers with dips are served as appetizers.

The crispy rice salad is incredibly delicious. The rice crackers are made from the bottom of the pot of rice that Uncle cooked for us earlier. It's super fresh!

Happy face when it's time to eat 55

This evening's meal is a traditional Thai feast, featuring a variety of dishes such as yam thalay (seafood salad), gaeng massaman gai (chicken massaman curry), gaeng ranjuan (spicy pork curry), nam phrik khee ka (roasted chili paste), mee krob (crispy noodles), and gai hor bai toey (chicken wrapped in pandan leaves). These dishes are served with freshly cooked brown rice.

Guests are welcome to refill their plates as desired, creating a buffet-like experience.

The food here is delicious, everything is perfectly seasoned. We ate so much that our stomachs are about to burst! 55

What is everyone looking at so intently?

No need to worry, while we are having dinner, Mallika City R.S. 124 will also have a traditional Thai dance performance for us to watch.

Truly full and satisfied.

They often have promotions on entrance fees and food prices.

It's a good idea to check with Mallika City R.S. 124 before you go, so you can save even more money.

If you're looking for a place to visit near Bangkok, I recommend checking out Mallika City R.S. 124.

Capture stunning photos and return home looking handsome. Savor delicious Thai food and snacks, and immerse yourself in the way of life of our ancestors. It's an incredible value for money.

Travel back in time at Mallika City R.S. 124 (Mallika City) and experience a unique adventure.
