Transportation

Access: The mountain is accessible from both Phitsanulok and Loei provinces.

Important Note: Visitors are not permitted to drive their own vehicles to the summit. Instead, they must rent a vehicle from the park authorities.

Rental Fees: The rental fee for a vehicle is 1,000 baht per vehicle, with a capacity of 10 passengers.

Travel Time and Conditions: The journey to the summit takes approximately 3 hours and traverses challenging terrain. Passengers are advised to prepare for a bumpy ride and consider bringing motion sickness medication if necessary.

Additional Considerations:

  • Passengers seated in the front of the vehicle may find the journey more comfortable.
  • Those seated in the back of the vehicle should bring head coverings, dust masks, and raincoats for protection.
  • The park authorities strictly prohibit the use of personal vehicles for access to the summit.

Red dust is certain (prepare dust protection equipment)

What time should I get on the bus? : The first bus to the mountain departs at 5:00 AM. The park will be ready for tourists at this time. The trip takes 3 hours. If you miss this time, you will miss the sunrise and have to wait in line for a long time.

Even though it was early morning, there were many people waiting to watch the sunrise.

After watching the sunrise, it was time to take some photos.

For this trip, I would like to thank Mr. Kan, the park ranger who took good care of us. He shared his knowledge with us along the way and even took us to beautiful photo spots that were not crowded. (Mr. Kan is very nice).
