This trip, for those who love to travel, we will take you on a journey across thousands of curves, visiting various check-in points in Mae Hong Son.

For those without a car, the journey can be a long one, with bus rides lasting over 14 hours. Renting a car allows for a more flexible and adventurous exploration of Pang Ung, the highlight of this trip.

Sleep at Baan Khun Long Pa La Homestay, house number 1 of Pang Ung. This homestay is both an accommodation and a coffee shop.

Mornings begin with a steaming cup of coffee, its aroma wafting from the roasting room where Uncle Pala meticulously hand-roasts the beans.

Immerse yourself in the atmosphere of Ban Rak Thai, a Yunnan Chinese village, and savor delicious "kway teow" (noodles) while dangling your feet at Baan Jabo.

With stunning views, turn your car into the city and sleep in a budget-friendly homestay like Coffee Morning.

Regarding travel

Take a tour bus (Somchai Tour) from Bangkok at 5:20 PM. >> Get off at Mae Hong Son city center. The journey takes 14-15 hours (a long sleep, a bit too long^^). Arrive around 8:00 AM. >> Take a three-wheeled vehicle to Morning Coffee to rent a car, about 3 km away. >> Drive to Pang Ung for a night's stay, about 60 km away, taking about 1.5 hours. Along the way, you can stop at various points of interest such as Fish Cave, Mud Volcano, and Pha Suea Waterfall.

**Recommendations** for driving to Pang Oung. The road is quite steep. Eco cars with 1200cc engines can make it up, but it's more comfortable with a 1500cc engine. For those who want to rent a motorbike, I recommend 125cc or higher. The price is around 250-300 baht, which will make for a comfortable ride.

Tiger King

Ban Rak Thai, a Yunnan Chinese village, is located just 20 minutes from Pang Ung.

Surrounding the Ban Rak Thai village, there are numerous charming tea shops and stores.

Those who arrive early or stay overnight may have the chance to witness the ethereal mist floating above the water.

This is our accommodation for the first night in Pang Ung.

Uncle Pala's house, house number 1 of Pang Ung.

It is located right at the entrance.

Simple accommodation for 4 people at 1400 baht per house, including breakfast.

No fans, no air conditioning, so be prepared for a chilly stay! ^^

Fortunately, there is a hot water heater.

A simple breakfast of hot rice porridge, enjoyed in a casual Japanese style.

The giant bamboo at Uncle Pala's house is truly massive. It's the biggest I've ever seen.

Uncle Pala's house is not only a place to stay, but also a coffee shop. Uncle Pala makes every step of the process himself, resulting in a cup of fragrant coffee. #coffee beans

Coffee beans

Uncle Pala personally roasts the coffee beans himself.^^

These are freshly roasted coffee beans.

After a hearty breakfast, it was time to embark on our return journey to the city.

However, we decided to make a pit stop at Baan Ja Bo for a delicious bowl of noodles.

Oh, I almost forgot! Before arriving at Pang Ung, we made sure to check in at various scenic spots, including Pha Suea Waterfall.

And #Fish Cave

You can also visit the #Mud Volcano and soak in the hot springs, or if you're feeling adventurous, you can even try a mud bath.

Actually, you don't have to be a girl to do this. I have to admit, I tried a mud bath myself, but I won't be posting any pictures of that! Haha.

After departing from Pang Ung, we headed straight to Ban Ja Bo. However, we encountered curves throughout the journey, prompting us to stop by the roadside for a refreshing drink. We each had a glass and continued our journey with renewed energy.

The long-awaited moment has arrived.

We have finally reached...

Jaa Bo's Boat Noodles.

Let me just say, it's been a winding road... I need a break before I can eat! 55+

Jabo House is another beautiful spot to watch the sea of mist. For those who have the opportunity to stay here, you will definitely encounter beautiful mist in the morning. As for me, I came in the afternoon, so I missed it. ^^

After a hearty bowl of noodles, we set off for our accommodation. The familiar winding roads awaited us, eliciting a chuckle. This time, we were cruising in a sedan rented from Morning Coffee.

We have arrived at Morning Coffee, a guesthouse and coffee shop.

The price is affordable at 500 baht per room, which can accommodate 2 people. Breakfast is not included.

The atmosphere inside the restaurant is pleasant.

Affordable bedroom for only 500 baht, located on the 2nd floor of the coffee shop.

After checking in and renting a motorbike, it was almost evening.

We rode up to #Wat Phra That Doi Kong Mu, a sacred temple that has been a landmark of Mae Hong Son province for a long time. It is only 5-6 km from our accommodation.

Wat Chong Kham

And so, we've reached the final day of our trip.

Today, we woke up bright and early to participate in the alms offering ceremony at the

#Su Tong Pae Bridge.

After offering food to the monks, I walked a short distance and found a breakfast restaurant. I decided to order a fried egg dish.

During the rice planting season, the scenery is spectacular.

However, I believe it has its own unique beauty.

The Karen Long Neck Village, Ban Huay Suea Thao, is a small village nestled in the mountains. The journey to the village is scenic, with lush greenery and streams lining the road. Motorcyclists should be cautious of slippery surfaces, especially when crossing streams. It is recommended to slow down and proceed with care.

Arriving at the Karen Long Neck Village, I couldn't resist trying on the traditional brass rings.

Tourist concerns

#RiceFieldBridgeStepForHealth #9 is located on the way to Pha Bong Viewpoint

Pha Bong Hot Spring: Arrived in the afternoon, but didn't take a dip because it was too hot. 555+

We finally arrived at the Pha Bong viewpoint, the last stop of our trip. We sat and admired the panoramic view of the mountains for a while.

Then we rode our motorcycles back to the city. It only took about 40 minutes to get back from here.

Thank you all for joining us on this trip. See you again on our next trip.
