Have you been to the "Riverside Food Festival at Central Chidlom" yet? Central Chidlom has partnered with Talad Design to bring back the atmosphere of Thai traditions in the heart of the city. They have gathered delicious and fun dishes from all over Thailand for Bangkokians to enjoy authentic Thai flavors. You can also shop for a variety of Thai-style products. Special! Watch free classic outdoor movies and rare performances. Plus, there are many fun activities to add color to the event. The event runs until February 4, 2018, from 11:00 AM to 9:00 PM, covering the entire Emerald Lawn at Central Chidlom.
This food festival is divided into 3 zones.
Starting with the Riverside Food Zone, a highlight for anyone who loves to find delicious food. This event features a wide variety of delicious menus from 7 riverside areas. I have tried many menus and can guarantee the deliciousness of authentic traditional Thai food, both savory and sweet. Whether it's German Pork Knuckle by Chef Day, pork knuckle that is not greasy, carefully selected quality pork legs, and a unique cooking method. It's delicious on its own or dipped in a spicy sauce. Chef Day is here to oversee the quality himself. Manee Mee Nom Shop, a super popular shop with bread with a lot of toppings. Every time I go there, there's a long queue. Khao Chae Mae Lek Skit Jai Shop, a famous Khao Chae from Tha Yang District, Phetchaburi Province. It's refreshing to eat with 4 side dishes according to the Phetchaburi recipe. Phayung Hoy Tod Shop, a multi-award winning shop that brings a giant pan to the event with a cool frying style. This shop has a long queue, but the wait is not long. However, if you go late, you might miss out and not be able to eat. Pad Thai Yai King Khlong Lat Mayom, a famous Pad Thai shop with a large pan that Grandma King has to stir-fry and show her skills for every order. The ingredients are full and use a charcoal stove according to the ancient recipe. This is the reason for the long queue whenever anyone goes to Khlong Lat Mayom. For those who like authentic Isaan-style papaya salad, there is also a papaya salad shop, "Pla Ra Saeb Mike" by Mike Phiromphon, where you can enjoy dipping sticky rice until you can't stop.
Desserts are plentiful, including Nang Led (crispy rice cakes), freshly made Takoh (sweet coconut milk pudding) with various toppings, fragrant and sweet, creamy, only 10 baht per cup. Crispy roti, crispy butter, also delicious and enjoyable. Don't miss the Bua Loy (sweet dumplings). Everything is delicious at this event.

This is just a small selection of what's on offer, with almost 200 vendors to tempt your taste buds. If you'd prefer to sit down and enjoy your meal, there are Thai-style seating areas scattered throughout the event.
Next is the "Waterfront Lifestyle Zone," which offers a wide variety of Thai-style products, including Obasan clothing, a well-known T-shirt shop with export standards from Amphawa Floating Market, Phuket pearl milk tea shops, health pillows and blankets, and many other items.
Another zone is an outdoor cinema seating area, allowing those who yearn for a nostalgic atmosphere to reminisce about the past with classic films screened for free! Looking at the program, there are many famous and well-loved films from the past that are rotated for viewing, such as Pee Mak, Terminator 3, Charlie's Angels, Fan Chan, The Little Things Called Love, Armageddon, Sud Khet Saled Ped, Now You See Me, Bangkok Traffic Love Story, etc. Three films are shown per day, starting from 6:30 PM to 11:00 PM. Even if you finish work late, you can still stop by and watch.
