This review will be familiar to those who have followed Cape's popular resorts in recent years. Today, I will introduce this resort as I had the opportunity to relax on Koh Sichang and decided to stay here.

To reach Koh Sichang, you need to board a ferry near Ko Loi. The day I went, the sky was overcast, making me anxious about the possibility of rain.

As we boarded the boat, my partner became visibly nervous, fearing a potential fall into the water. The climb required a good sense of balance.

After boarding the ship, we waited for a while before it set sail. The small suitcase was ready to travel. A little joy, as if the clouds were clearing and the rain might not fall. Hooray!

On the way to the island, I saw the moon (or was it?). But when I took the picture, I saw the sun further away, so I believe it was the moon. 555+

Approaching the island, we saw the land and the setting sun.

Upon arrival at the island, you will see a lighthouse at the pier. It is a popular photo spot, but I personally skipped it.

There are two main ways to get around Koh Sichang: by skylab or by motorbike. Since my accommodation did not offer a pick-up service from the pier, I had to choose between taking the skylab or renting a motorbike. Initially, I considered taking the skylab because I had luggage, but the rental shop owner offered to deliver my luggage, so I decided to rent a motorbike. The rental cost 200 baht per day, including fuel. There were plenty of rental shops right by the pier, so I didn't have to worry about finding one. However, I didn't take any pictures of the rental shops, so I'll include a picture of the classic skylab instead.

As it was already evening when we arrived, we were able to check in quickly without having to wait for a room. We also decided to have dinner in the hotel restaurant, so please follow me.

The hotel's accommodation building will only have two floors. It will emphasize a light blue and white color scheme to create a relaxing atmosphere suitable for a seaside vacation. Although the accommodation is not directly on the beach, it is still close enough to enjoy the beautiful scenery and fresh air.

Upon receiving your key card, please note that it is required to access your room. The door leading into the building also requires a key card to open. Once you enter the building, you will immediately encounter the first photo spot within the building.

Let's head to the room. It's about 35 square meters, so it's not cramped and quite comfortable. The bathroom has a wet and dry separation, and it has a bidet, which is great. Without a bidet, it would be terrible.

The room is equipped with a smart TV, a work desk, a refrigerator, and an electric kettle.

The balcony also has seating and a daybed for relaxing in the breeze, but I didn't get to sit there at all. 555+

The balcony offers a view of the swimming pool, the shimmering sea, and the resort's gardens.

After a short rest after the journey, we went down to the hotel for dinner. The hotel has a small dining room for breakfast, as well as for every meal of the day if you don't go out on the island.

The restaurant has a small bar where the check-in staff will also make drinks for you. 555+

My boyfriend ordered a margarita to try. It tasted like a typical margarita. The price was average.

For lunch today, I ordered three dishes. The first was a ham and cheese spring roll, which was delicious.

The next dish, the Caesar salad with grilled chicken breast, was equally delicious.

The final dish was a ribeye steak, which was satisfactory in terms of flavor. It was grilled to medium-rare as requested, but slightly overcooked. The accompanying sauce was acceptable. Compared to the first two dishes, this one lacked any distinctive characteristics and was rather ordinary in terms of taste.

After a satisfying meal, I took a break. The room's soundproofing was not ideal, as I could hear the next room's occupants engaging in a heated conversation. However, the pillows and bed were comfortable.

Upon waking, I sat down to enjoy breakfast. Breakfast here is offered in two styles: à la carte and buffet. I partook in some of the buffet offerings and also ordered a few dishes individually.

The image above shows the buffet area where guests can serve themselves. Below is a list of menu items available for breakfast that can be ordered individually.

I ordered three items.

The first dish was fried rice, which tasted delicious. It is definitely worth ordering.

The next dish is fresh pork sausage with bacon.

The highlight is definitely the fresh pork sausage. It's so delicious, I'd say it's the best sausage I've ever had. The bacon and eggs were good too, but the sausage was so good that I ordered an extra 5 pieces! 555+

The final dish was pork congee. This dish tasted good, it was truly delicious congee, not just rice cooked and added to soup.

After breakfast, I set out to explore Ko Sichang Island. My first stop was the Khao Yai Shrine.

There are beautiful viewpoints on the shrine.

On the altar, there is a statue of Sun Wukong for worship in addition to the City God.

Exiting the shrine, I headed straight for the only beach on Koh Sichang, Tham Phang Beach.

The beach boasts crystal-clear waters and pristine sands, making it an ideal spot for swimming. While I opted for a relaxing afternoon basking in the sea breeze, sun loungers are available free of charge. However, it's customary to order food or drinks from nearby vendors while enjoying the comfort of these loungers.

After relaxing and enjoying the sea breeze until the sun began to set, I headed to my final destination, the highlight of Koh Sichang: Phra Chudadhut Rajathan Palace. I won't go into too much detail, as I'm sure you've already researched this place. Instead, I'll just share some photos from my walk around the palace grounds.

In conclusion, I believe that Ko Sichang is another ideal vacation spot for those seeking a slower pace of life and the opportunity to pursue their passions by the sea. The cost of living there is reasonable, although my accommodation may have been a bit pricey.

While the island offers a variety of accommodation options at different price points, Koh Sichang remains a great choice for those seeking a quick getaway to crystal-clear waters near Bangkok.

The Somewhere KohSrichang hotel is a good value for money, even though the price is high. The only drawback is that if you encounter guests who are noisy during sleep time, the rooms are not soundproof.
