Imagine the tranquility of immersing yourself in the slow pace of life, surrounded by pristine nature and breathing in the fresh air. This is the essence of a visit to Tambon Kaen Makrut, Ban Rai District, Uthai Thani Province.

Our choice for this trip was Rai U-Kui, a name that piqued our curiosity (we couldn't help but wonder, "What does the name of the farm mean?").

Did you know that the name of the farm comes from the Karen language? The word "U-kui" means "delicious," and each tent is named after a different Karen word, with an English translation provided. This attention to detail shows the owner's dedication to creating a unique and memorable experience for guests.

This example tent is called "Yuerener," which means "I love you." Wow! If you're interested, you can use it to confess your love to a girl. Haha.

The tent accommodation is as shown in the picture. Shared bathrooms are available, but don't worry, the owner keeps them very clean.

It is important to note that this farm does not have the same amenities as we are accustomed to in our daily urban lives. Instead, it offers nature, tranquility, fresh air, sunshine, mist, morning dew, stunning nighttime stars, trees, grass, flower gardens, vegetable plots, cornfields, and pineapple plantations. While there is no electricity, the experience is akin to recharging one's body and soul.

After we finished packing our belongings at our accommodation, it was time to explore the surrounding area around the farm. Come on, follow us, we'll get lost... oops! We'll take you on a tour of the...

Before arriving at the farm to check in, we drove past the flower fields of Baan Kaen Makrut.

We see a variety of blooming flowers in vibrant colors. Without delay, let's explore them.

Look, the flowers are blooming everywhere.

Aspiring models, feel free to strike a pose and unleash your inner shutterbug. Capture as many shots as you desire.

Having taken enough photos, let's move on to explore the flowers.

After enjoying the flowers for a while, we moved to another flower bed. This area features a display about the legend of the seven great heroes of the Huai Kha Khaeng forest, allowing visitors to admire the beauty of the flowers while learning about the area's history.

After admiring the beauty of the flowers to our heart's content, it was time to return and rest.

The atmosphere at the farm in the evening is like this: chill, with a cool breeze blowing.

For stargazers, this is a must-see. After 11 p.m., the farm turns off its generators, plunging the sky into darkness, revealing a breathtaking display of stars. The sheer number of stars visible is truly remarkable, making it an unforgettable experience.

The multitude of stars in the pitch-black night are the other guests who have already gone to sleep. Only we are still awake, not looking at the stars. Haha.

This is the view from our accommodation after waking up on a new morning.

Wouldn't it be nice to wake up to such a beautiful view every day?

The sun has risen, and its warmth begins to spread.

Soft morning light bathes the cornfield.

The mornings can be a bit chilly, so the farm provides a bonfire for us to gather around and warm ourselves by the fire.

Warm up and sit with him. Ha!

The accommodation's breakfast is served with freshly brewed coffee. Occasionally, fresh seasonal fruits are also provided. This time, we were treated to sweet and delicious bananas. ^^

Note: Breakfast is all-you-can-eat. Please feel free to ask for more if you are not full.

The text states that the speaker has eaten everything and has nothing left because their body requires a lot of energy. They then question the validity of this statement, suggesting that the speaker may simply enjoy eating a lot.

And here is the owner of the farm, Uikue, who is kindly brewing fresh coffee for us this morning.

Why is he making that face? He's not disgusted by us, is he? Haha.

After breakfast, we planned to explore the back of the farm before packing up and heading home.

Let's go. Let's embark on our journey...

On this trip to explore the back of the U-Kui farm, we had the younger siblings from the farm volunteer as our guides to take us on a tour of the strawberry farm, the stream, and the local Karen market in the morning.

Along the path we walked, we encountered harvested rice stalks. The local villagers primarily cultivate Karen rice, a variety with short grains but a chewy and soft texture. The flavor is distinct from the jasmine rice commonly consumed throughout the country. Personally, we found it delicious. If you share our enthusiasm for Karen rice, consider visiting this region to experience its unique taste and confirm our description.

And then we arrived at the strawberry farm and the heart of the villagers' cabbage farm.

Unfortunately, the strawberries were in bloom when we visited.

If you want to taste the strawberries here, you should come during February and early March.

And this is the heart cabbage. The villagers here are very fond of planting this variety.

There are other types of vegetables as well.

Beyond the villagers' vegetable and fruit farms, we encounter a small stream.

The water is crystal clear and refreshingly cool, just like the real thing.

The sensation of dipping our feet in the water was incredibly pleasant.

During our walking tour, there were only four of us, including my friends and two tour guides. But guess what! We also encountered a four-legged big boss who joined us for a leisurely stroll along the stream. Haha! But the big boss was adorable, leading us slowly and steadily.

We continued walking from behind the farm, and after a while, we found ourselves at the front entrance.

The view looks like it's from another country, doesn't it? Hehe.

As we continued walking, we came across a Karen market that was open in the morning. There were many fresh vegetables, rice, and other products from local villagers on sale.

In the morning, there will be a traditional Thai dance performance by children from the village.

The children sang and danced with great enthusiasm. They were all very adorable.

The U-Krue-I farm also has a coffee shop near the cold-climate flower field.

The beverage boasts a delightful flavor and, more importantly, an affordable price. If you happen to be in the vicinity, consider stopping by to sample it.

After a tiring morning tour, we hitched a ride back to the farm on a water delivery truck. This saved us from a long and tiring walk back.

The relaxing time passed by so quickly. It's time for us to pack up and go home. Alas, why did the vacation end so soon?

Oh, I forgot to mention food!

Let's talk about food. For those who enjoy cooking, you can purchase fresh ingredients and grill them to your liking. The farm generously provides free grilling stoves and charcoal. For those who prefer not to cook, the farm also offers cooked-to-order meals at affordable prices and with delicious flavors.

Many people may ask, "Why would you put yourself through such hardship?" But believe me, if you try it once, you will surely miss that kind of atmosphere when you return. Because in our opinion, Rai U-Kue is a perfect blend of nature for a truly relaxing getaway.

Our tour of the U-Yuen Orchard has come to an end.
