Homestay Baan Na Ton Chan... a name that offers more than just accommodation.

This name I've heard for a long time, but I've never had the chance to go with anyone.

Today, I finally had the opportunity to visit the Homestay Baan Na Ton Chan.

"Why is everyone so captivated by this place?" This question has been on everyone's lips. Today, we will seek the answer.

It has been said that unplanned travel leads to the greatest happiness and satisfaction.

Therefore, for this trip, I did not research or read any reviews at all.

Let's go on a trip to Da Nang. When we arrive, we'll be ready to explore. Let's go!

Travel: This time we traveled by private car, following the Phrae-Si Satchanalai route.

The journey takes approximately 3 hours.

We have arrived.

The first image you see.

The Giant Rice Porridge Shop, the first place to welcome tourists.

However, this time I'm here for work, so let's put the "eating" on hold for now. Haha!

I slept the whole way and got off the car feeling disoriented.

Let's stimulate the brain a little (I just said I wanted to take a break from eating, but I ended up with food again).

The name of the shop is uncertain, but let's call it the "Unshakeable Bell Coffee Shop." You can't order a shaken coffee there.

(As far as I can tell, this is the only shop in Ban Na Ton Chan.)

The brain is awake! Let's continue, Mother Sengiem is waiting to welcome us...

Ms. Sa-ngiem, the leader of the Baan Na Ton Chan Homestay Tourism Group, emphasizes that anyone visiting the area should make a point of talking to her. She guarantees that visitors will leave with a wealth of knowledge, laughter, and entertainment. In fact, they may even find themselves wanting to return just to chat with her again. Ms. Sa-ngiem is known for her engaging and enjoyable conversations.

This place emphasizes naturalness, the way of life, and the culture of the community. Even the size of the drinking glass is environmentally friendly. And it's not just the glass, the water is butterfly pea water with young coconut, not too sweet and fragrant, delicious.

Besides herbal drinks, shaved ice is also a great way to beat the heat during the hot season. Just look at the container, it's so stylish, I have to tell everyone!

Following Ms. Sa-ngiem's explanation of the group's origins, we continued our journey. The mode of transportation used on this occasion is arguably the signature of this location.

E-taek car, but, but, but, but, but.

Next stop >>>> "Farm of Love and Sufficiency Economy" This farm was born from the true love of the farm owner. As soon as you arrive at the farm, this little guy will be waiting to welcome you. Let me tell you, he's the biggest camera hog ever! Don't believe me? Check out his pictures.

At the Farm of Love and Sufficiency Economy, we will learn about agriculture and exchange knowledge about a self-sufficient lifestyle.

This is the farm manager. The entire garden is the result of the sweat and tears of all the younger siblings. This farm is a source of...

Another member of this farm. It's a pity that I didn't get to try the farm's famous salted egg recipe this time. If anyone goes, please try it for me.

Following our departure, we moved to witness the sunset. This area is a natural zone with lush green rice fields. Currently, there is a bamboo bridge built by the local community for tourists.

Today, there are many faculties, so we have seen enough of the beauty of this area. Next time, we will come back to take pictures on the bridge. We promise to come again...

It's time for some fun! Enjoy the pictures!

This meal was absolutely delicious. The must-try dish is the stir-fried minced meat salad, which was so good that we ordered 4 more plates.

The small cup in the center, I later learned, contained "Nam Prik Sook Khai," a chili paste with salted egg. It was surprisingly delicious, much better than its appearance suggested.

The food here is truly delicious, deserving a perfect 10 out of 10.

After a hearty meal, I needed to find an activity to help me digest all that food.

While enjoying a meal, a group of young people played traditional Thai music, creating a truly delightful dining experience.

After the meal, the elderly will tie sacred threads on the wrists of the participants for good luck. This is a traditional blessing ceremony that effectively transmits cultural values to the community and future generations, ensuring the preservation of this cherished tradition.

The most effective digestive aid was listening to the elderly perform a short, spicy li-ke performance. The mothers' performances were the most entertaining, and their dance moves were unrivaled even by BKK. Unfortunately, we were unable to capture the mothers' dancing on camera. Additionally, there was a circle dance that allowed guests to participate together before saying their goodbyes, allowing them to relax and recharge for the following day.

/////////////////////////////////////////////

This morning, we decided to wake up very early at 4:30 AM to catch the sunrise. Our homestay host, Mr. Boy, had arranged a guide and a tour vehicle for us. The guide arrived at our doorstep right on time.

Ready to go. It's really quiet right now. It's so dark everywhere.

The viewpoint for watching the sunset is Doi Ton Hai, which is 800 meters away. However, this 800 meters is...

Today was incredibly tiring. Unfortunately, luck was not on our side, and we were unable to witness the beautiful sunrise.

However, there is still a delightful experience that I would like to recommend, which is drinking coffee from a bamboo mug. But right now, my stomach is growling, and even coffee can't satisfy it.

Fortunately, the tour guide had brought instant noodles for us.

The special feature of this dish is the cup it is served in.

Despite the gloomy skies, the morning atmosphere we experienced was...

The final 100 meters of the ascent are slightly steep, causing some calf soreness. However, the satisfaction of reaching the summit will undoubtedly motivate you to tackle it again in the future.

After watching the sunrise, we returned home. Boy had prepared a large breakfast for us. It was a great deal, but unfortunately, we couldn't finish it all. We were so full that we couldn't eat anything else.

After finishing breakfast, we showered and prepared to pack our bags.

Ready to tour the community, with P'Boy as our guide. Let's GOOOO!

The first place that caught my eye was the Achi House, a guesthouse for tourists. Even if you are not staying there, you are welcome to stop by and take pictures.

Next, we will witness the local wisdom of making "Bar-Nor" dolls by Mr. Wong. Although Mr. Wong is no longer with us,

But his children have inherited his wisdom.

Immerse yourself in knowledge and seek blessings for auspiciousness as the month draws to a close. Perhaps we will be fortunate in this regard.

The renowned local wisdom of Ban Na Ton Chan includes the weaving of mud-fermented cloth.

An army marches on its stomach, but when the mind is full, we must rely on strength.

A must-try dish when visiting Sukhothai is Khao Phet.

Must-try Mee Ba

The highlight of Mee Baa Ya Yai is the special red pork marinated with five-spice powder.

This concludes our trip to Ban Na Ton Chan Homestay, a community cultural learning center and tourist attraction that helps preserve and pass on the traditions, knowledge, and wisdom of the elders. It is also an ecotourism destination.

In all honesty, I don't want to leave just yet. I'd like to stay longer. Coming here feels like visiting a relative's home.

I will return to rest at my relative's house again.

>>> Homestay Baan Na Ton Chan <<< This name is not just a place to stay

We would like to express our sincere gratitude to the Social Research Institute of Chiang Mai University for providing us with this wonderful opportunity to explore and learn.

We express our gratitude to the Special Area of Sukhothai Historical Park, Si Satchanalai, and Kamphaeng Phet for their collaboration in the restoration and conservation of valuable resources with local communities. Their support has been instrumental in promoting and reviewing these historical sites.

Thank you to everyone who took the time to read this. This is my first review, and I apologize if it's not very good.
