Shizen Izakaya: A Japanese-style izakaya where patrons can enjoy a relaxed atmosphere while sipping drinks and engaging in conversation.

Even for picky eaters like bears and ducks, Japanese cuisine can still be a delightful experience.

Let's see what's on offer.

The restaurant is located in the Le Jardin project on Prapa Canal Road, with ample parking available.

The restaurant offers three seating styles. The first style features low tables with legroom, located on the far left side.

The central seating area offers a pleasant atmosphere under the trees. However, individuals with long legs may find it uncomfortable due to limited legroom.

The standard table with a soft seat for leaning on is located on the right side.

Deep-fried Oysters with Mango Sauce 288.-

Large oysters, not enough batter, fried to a crispy golden brown without being greasy.

The first bite is a burst of ocean fragrance, followed by a complex interplay of flavors from the three sauces: salty, savory, sweet and sour, with a hint of astringency.

The highlight is the mango sauce, fragrant and creamy, with a satisfying chewiness from the shrimp roe. Highly recommended.

Salmon Fried Rice with Mentaiko 199.-

Japanese rice stir-fried with butter and garlic. The rice is soft and fragrant with the aroma of butter and garlic. It has a slightly sweet and salty taste. It is delicious even on its own.

The mentaiko sauce is sweet, creamy, and salty with a fragrant aroma. The mentaiko itself is somewhat masked by the mayonnaise.

Salmon Belly Yำ 188.-

The taste is very intense, sour, sweet, fragrant, salty, and spicy, especially the sliced lime, which has a chewy peel and a slightly bitter taste that strangely enhances the deliciousness.

This dish is quite spicy. It would be nice to have some shredded cabbage or fresh vegetables as a side dish.

Sushi Long 777.-

The sushi platter features a variety of fresh and flavorful ingredients, including:

  • Fresh salmon with a firm texture, a hint of sweetness, and a refreshing touch of spring onions.
  • Seared salmon with a smoky aroma, topped with melt-in-your-mouth foie gras.
  • Unagi (freshwater eel) with a sweet and savory flavor, grilled to perfection and generously portioned.
  • Anago (saltwater eel) with a distinct ocean aroma, tender and thick, topped with shrimp and roe for added texture and richness.
  • Engawa (flounder fin) topped with salmon, surprisingly free of fishy taste and boasting a satisfyingly buttery flavor, enhanced by mentaiko sauce, seared salmon, and popping fish roe.

This set, based on personal preference, ranks Japanese eel as number one, followed by engawa and then salmon brûlée.

Sushi Long offers a premium and luxurious experience, with a variety of toppings that pair well with different flavors, making for an enjoyable dining experience.

If you're looking for a more substantial meal, opt for regular sushi. Prices start at 88 THB for unagi (grilled eel), 88 THB for engawa (halibut fin), and 44 THB for salmon brûlée.

Grilled Hida Beef 399.-

The dish is characterized by its tenderness and fragrant meat, with a salty and savory flavor and a hint of sweetness. It is served with a brown sauce, the name of which I am unsure of.

The taste is similar to Japanese eel sauce, sweet and fragrant, very delicious.

Dipping in the white sauce offers a different kind of sweet and creamy flavor.

A piece of meat with a bit of fat, smelling of slightly charred grilled meat. It's so good!

Summary

On the day the duck bear went to try it, it was observed that there were customers of all types, including families, friends, couples, and new couples. Oh my...

Not too noisy for conversation, and the food is delicious enough to make it worth a visit.

The price may not be cheap, but it is not expensive either. The quality is good for the price. The nangka is fragrant and large, the meat is imported grade, and the sushi is good.

There are many tempting menu items to try, especially during promotions, which makes them even more appealing.

Those who are nearby or passing by are welcome to stop by and try it out.
