While visiting Ratchaburi, I stumbled upon a hidden gem: Huai Mai Teng Reservoir. Nestled amidst the scenic landscape, this reservoir offered a tranquil escape from the hustle and bustle of city life.

The Teng Dam Reservoir

The reservoir is located in Chom Bueng District, Ratchaburi Province, less than an hour from Suan Phueng. You can view the map at the following link: https://goo.gl/maps/NFUbBCuQz6A2

The most suitable time would be just before sunset. However, it is recommended to arrive earlier as the area around the reservoir offers scenic views for photography, particularly near the water release gate. The rows of eucalyptus trees there perfectly complement the phrase "when I walk into the forest."

The confluence of the waterway and the sluice gate is adorned with graffiti, making it an ideal spot for a stylish photo opportunity. However, due to the steepness of the climb, it is advisable to admire the view from afar. The panoramic vista from above is equally breathtaking.

After taking some photos, we returned to the square in front of the reservoir to watch the sunset. We took a secondary road along the reservoir, where there was little traffic, so we could stop and take photos.

The long-awaited sunset finally arrived, painting the sky in vibrant hues. A multitude of onlookers gathered to capture the breathtaking spectacle with their cameras.

This is a brief overview of the Huai Mai Teng Reservoir. If you have the opportunity to visit Ratchaburi Province, be sure to add it to your list. You might be surprised by what you find.
