During the longan harvest season in Amphawa, the resort serves chilled longan juice, offering a refreshing and sweet taste.
In addition to the welcome drink, they also served mangoes. Wow! This resort is very hospitable.
Upon entering the resort, you are greeted by the reception area of Villa Amphawa, which is undeniably stunning.
Here is a glimpse of the beautiful interior of our room.
The bathroom in the room is well-equipped with all the necessary amenities.
This area is the swimming pool of the Amphawa Villa Resort.
After a tiring drive, we decided to take a break and enjoy some lychee juice.
Next is the atmosphere inside the resort. Let me tell you, it's fantastic. Very lush, perfect for a relaxing getaway.
The hotel offers free bicycle rentals for guests to explore the surrounding area.
Anyone who wants to go cycling with my group of friends is welcome to join.
While relaxing at the Amphawa Villa, an aunt paddled a boat to sell Thai desserts. We were able to buy snacks from the villa's pier.
After a night of rest, it's time to wake up and greet the new day.
Let's take a look at the resort's breakfast. My stomach is already rumbling with hunger!
A wide variety of breakfast options are available for us to choose from.
This is the resort's dining room, where we can enjoy breakfast.
Before enjoying breakfast, we woke up very early to experience the slow life and enjoy the morning atmosphere at the Amphawa Floating Market.
Let's talk about some of the places to visit.
2. Shopping and Dining Delights: Must-Visit Markets for Souvenirs and Local Delicacies
For those who love to shop and eat, these three markets are a must-visit. Find unique souvenirs, indulge in delicious local cuisine, and savor traditional Thai sweets.
First stop: The renowned Amphawa Floating Market. This iconic market is brimming with culinary delights and boasts stunning evening views. Start your day with a serene alms-giving ceremony and enjoy a cup of traditional Thai coffee as you embrace the slow pace of life.
Amphawa Floating Market at dusk
This is a familiar scene for many people: the bustling atmosphere of the Amphawa Floating Market in the evening.
Amphawa Floating Market offers a variety of activities, including tasting local delicacies, shopping, sightseeing, and boat tours to visit five temples.
The late afternoon atmosphere of Amphawa.
The early morning atmosphere at the Amphawa Floating Market is relatively quiet and peaceful.
In the early mornings, monks collect alms both on land and by water.
If you are interested in offering morning alms, we recommend arriving at the floating market early in the morning. Aim to arrive around 6:00 AM, as this is an ideal time.
After finishing our morning alms offering, we strolled through the bustling morning market, where we were immediately drawn to Uncle Kiw's quaint vintage coffee shop. We couldn't resist stopping by for a taste, especially considering the incredibly affordable prices. :D
The aroma of freshly brewed traditional coffee fills the air, its rich flavor tantalizing the taste buds. The scenic view adds to the delightful experience, making it a perfect moment to savor the coffee and appreciate the surroundings.
Next, we will visit the second market, #Bang Noi Floating Market, where you can find a variety of delicious food. Take a walk and experience the simple way of life by the water.
It's worth noting that the food pictured here is just a small portion of what's available at the actual location. There's even more to choose from!
This vibrant marketplace offers a diverse array of goods, ensuring that you won't leave empty-handed. With its affordable prices, you're guaranteed to find something that fits your budget.
At the Bang Noi Floating Market, there is a rare dish called "Roti Taechiew"... Don't forget to try it because it's delicious! It tastes like a "tub-tab" snack, with peanuts and brown sugar inside (we're foodies). We guarantee it, haha.
The trip concludes with a visit to the #Umbrella_Market, also known as the Maeklong Market. This market is situated right next to the Maeklong Railway Station, and its signature feature is the train that runs through it. Stalls line both sides of the tracks, with customers using the railway as a walkway to browse and purchase goods. The thrill of dodging the passing train adds to the unique experience. Another must-do activity in Amphawa is taking a boat ride. Embark on a romantic boat trip in search of love, or simply enjoy the serene atmosphere as you cruise along the river, admiring temples, scenic views, and the local way of life. This is a truly slow-paced and relaxing experience. If you're interested in taking a boat ride at an affordable price, inquire with the hotel.
A popular spot. If you don't come across this train corner, it's like you haven't been here at all...
3. #Food: Don't miss the unique and delicious food options. We've tried them ourselves and highly recommend them! As a noodle lover, I couldn't resist trying the #CoconutMilkRoastedPorkNoodles. The fresh coconut milk poured over the noodles and the perfectly grilled pork neck create a harmonious and rich flavor.
The noodle shop is located near the hotel where we are staying.
We have arrived at the Lychee Noodle Shop.
It's incredible how fruits and savory dishes can complement each other.
Affordable price, breathtaking view.
Here it is! There are many menus to choose from. The taste of lychee is perfectly blended.
Having finished reading our trip review, hurry and follow us! Amphawa awaits. Just 2 days and 1 night are all it takes to easily fill your life with happiness. Travel in Thailand, you won't know until you go, right? ...
See you on our next trip! Bye bye.
Note: This time we traveled by private car.
