Kept Bangsaray, a brand-new resort in Chonburi, is poised to become one of the most sought-after destinations for romantic getaways. The stunning visuals and positive reviews circulating on social media platforms have left many in awe of its beauty.
My dream came true (or maybe it was her dream) when I was selected by Khao Baan Saen through the Blogger Matching activity of www.readme.me to stay at the resort for free. The first time I received the confirmation email, I almost screamed in the house (lol...).
The village of Bang Saen and Bang Saen Beach are located midway between Pattaya and Sattahip district. It has historically been a fishing village. Today, it is considered a seaside tourist destination for those who want to avoid the hustle and bustle of Pattaya or Sattahip. The atmosphere is much quieter.
We chose to travel at the end of April. The hot summer is perfect for a trip to the sea. We dreamed of beautiful pictures at Khao Laem Ya - Bangsaen. But just a few days before the trip, the Meteorological Department told us in a short sentence... Summer storm.
Everything has been predetermined. Whatever happens, don't worry.
Embark on a leisurely road trip from Bangkok, savoring the journey at your own pace. Stroll along the wooden bridge at the Mangrove Forest Study and Conservation Center for Ecotourism in Chonburi, immersing yourself in the natural beauty. Take a detour to Bangsaen and explore the aquarium, followed by a relaxing coffee break at a local café. Your adventure unfolds from sunrise to dusk, culminating in a refreshing downpour.
Due to the heavy rain and traffic congestion, we arrived at Khao Laem Ya - Mu Ko Samet National Park in Bang Sare just before sunset. Fortunately, the rain had stopped by then.
Keab Bangsaen boasts convenient parking, even though it requires entering a small alley. From the parking lot, one can see the beautifully decorated resort facade across the street.
Upon entering, one cannot help but be awestruck by the stunning lobby. The color scheme of brown, white, and blue evokes the ambiance of the sea and wooden boats, while nautical-themed decor reflects the hotel's location amidst a fishing village. The modern touches add a sophisticated flair, creating a space that is sure to impress all who enter.
This corner serves as a recreational area, equipped with a pool table and a foosball table for your enjoyment at any time.
The KeB Bangsaen offers seven room types, with prices starting from around 3,000 baht during low season weekdays. During high season, prices increase slightly. The most expensive room type is the exclusive oceanfront villa, which costs over 20,000 baht.

Our room, the K-Deluxe, is a mid-range option at this hotel. Check-in was quick and efficient, with the staff cheerfully taking our bags to our room while we explored the area.
The location boasts stunning oceanfront views, not from a typical beach, but from a unique balcony extending over the water. A long wooden bridge invites leisurely strolls, while multiple relaxation areas offer comfortable seating. The property also features a well-sized swimming pool, surrounded by outdoor dining tables. Imagine the romantic ambiance of an evening spent here on a pleasant day.
This area features a simulated beach corner with beach chairs, where children can play. Adjacent to it is a small bar where you can relax and enjoy yourself.
Okay, let's take some photos until we're satisfied. It's time to go up to our room. The Kave Deluxe room is on the second floor. The hallway in front of the room is beautifully decorated. Everywhere you look, you'll be surrounded by the atmosphere of the sea and fishing boats.
The door opened to reveal a long, narrow room decorated in light blue and white, creating a refreshing and airy atmosphere.
The room features a comfortable king-size bed with plush pillows, a sofa at the foot of the bed for lounging and watching TV, and a wardrobe, refrigerator, and work desk. Amenities are also provided in the wardrobe.
The bathroom area is well-designed, with separate shower and toilet stalls.
The welcome fruit can be enjoyed immediately, along with the small sweet treats that the housekeeper will bring during turndown service.
However, the highlight of the Kave Deluxe room is undoubtedly the balcony, which boasts a luxurious jacuzzi. Guests can soak in the warm water while enjoying the stunning views. Given the unsuitable weather for swimming, this is the perfect opportunity to indulge in this luxurious amenity.
A stunning view from the balcony at night.
We luxuriated in the jacuzzi until our dinner reservation at eight o'clock. The hotel's restaurant, Keb Marine, boasts a spacious and comfortable setting with elegant décor. It also welcomes non-resident guests who wish to dine without staying at the hotel.
Two mocktails, Apple Delight and Passionfruit Ice Tea, five dishes, Tom Yum Pla Kapong Nam Sai, Poo Nern, Stir-fried Scallops with Springy Meat, Crab Rangoon filled with crab meat, and Spicy Salmon Salad, all delicious, combined with a great atmosphere, made for a very enjoyable dinner. To top it off, we had Passionfruit and Coconut ice cream for dessert, a real treat from stomach to small intestine.

The evening atmosphere at Khao Bang Sa Rae is breathtaking. The vast ocean view and the distant city lights create a mesmerizing scene. Unfortunately, the light rain prevented me from taking many pictures, so I decided to leave early.
Excuse me, what are you doing? Oh, the jacuzzi is on the balcony of the room like that. Does anyone have a better idea than what we're about to do? (Laughs...)
A full night's sleep with sweet dreams. We woke up early with nothing to rush because it was raining. It has been raining since last night, increasing to heavy rain and continuing to rain all the time (including the rain until we returned to Bangkok, it still rained without stopping for a minute). Actually, there is a program to take us on a boat trip to the sea here in the morning. But due to the weather conditions as you can see today, we have to foul it. It's a pity.
Approaching nine in the morning, we descended to Keb Marine. The romantic dinner venue from the previous night had been transformed into a delightful breakfast buffet.
The buffet offers a wide variety of cuisines, including Thai and European breakfast options, with a plethora of choices to satisfy every palate.
The a la carte egg menu offers 7 options. We ordered the Egg Benedict and Poached Egg, which made for a delightful breakfast experience.
Let it rain, what does it matter when our hearts are happy?
We spent a considerable amount of time taking playful photos at the resort before heading up to our room to relax and breathe in the fresh scent of rain and the sea. We rolled around on the soft bed until noon, when we finally packed our bags and checked out.
Interestingly, this trip to the beach was a departure from my usual experience. Typically, my beach excursions end with me drenched in sweat and utterly exhausted from frantically snapping photos. I'm always striving to capture the perfect shots of the stunning seascapes, the radiant sunshine, and the clear blue skies. This relentless pursuit leaves me drained and depleted of energy.
On a rainy day, the sea turned a somber gray, yet I found myself feeling strangely at ease. I was able to truly relax, doing nothing but letting my mind and body drift with the gentle drizzle.
Many people say that the sea during the rainy season has its own charm. It seems that I have learned and experienced that charm to the fullest here... at Khao Laem, Bang Saen.
