Today, we will take you to a delicious restaurant in the Chaeng Watthana area. We are truly envious of the people in this area, as delicious restaurants are constantly opening. One such restaurant that we would like to recommend today is called "FATBOYJUMP."
A semi-cafe restaurant with a cargo ship theme. The atmosphere is relaxed, and the decor is dominated by blue and sky tones, contrasting with the brown of the wooden furniture. This color scheme is very #photogenic, so you can be sure that your photos will be stylish and beautiful.
After inquiring about the origin of the name "Fat Kid Jumping," I discovered that it was originally the name of a historical cargo ship.
The diverse backgrounds of the chefs and crew on board the ship have resulted in a unique culinary concept. The menu reflects this diversity, offering a wide range of dishes from various cuisines, including Thai and Mediterranean.
As an appetizer, we'll start with some popcorn.
Today's menu consisted entirely of the restaurant's recommended dishes, including:
- Red pork and crispy pork rice
- Beef burger with grilled bacon
- Mentaiko pasta with grilled buttered scallops
- Barramundi grilled with Sichuan-style vegetables
- Roasted Short Ribs (a new menu item)
Red pork and crispy pork rice, to be honest, is a simple menu that can be found everywhere. But it's not delicious everywhere, you know. For example, the first impression of this place is that the crispy pork is very crispy, the skin is fluffy, and it makes a crackling sound when you chew it. As for the red pork, I recommend eating it with the chili paste provided by the restaurant. It goes very well together and cuts through the sweetness of the red pork.
The grilled beef and bacon burger is generously filled, making it a bit messy to eat. The black charcoal bun is soft and the sliced beef is tender and not chewy. The accompanying French fries are excellent. Unlike other restaurants, they use large potato pieces coated in a thin batter and fried to a perfect crisp. Even after cooling down, they remain crispy. I believe this restaurant excels in preparing fried food.
The lobster roll features generous chunks of succulent lobster meat. The highlight is the restaurant's signature sauce, which complements the lobster perfectly. The bread is soft and fluffy.
This dish features grilled scallops with mentaiko pasta. The star of the show is undoubtedly the scallops, which are large and have a delightful texture.
Barramundi with Sichuan-style vegetables. The name of the dish may be a bit confusing at first, but it's actually barramundi fish. This dish has a distinct oriental flavor.
The final dish was the restaurant's new menu item: Roasted Short Ribs. It was a whole piece of meat, and I was initially concerned that it might be tough due to its thickness. However, it was not tough at all and was incredibly juicy. The top of the meat had a bit of fat, which I believe many people would enjoy. It is best enjoyed with tortillas and pickled vegetables, which enhance the flavor.
This restaurant is truly ideal for hanging out with friends or enjoying a romantic dinner with your partner. In addition to its pleasant ambiance and diverse menu, it also offers a wide selection of imported wines. (If you're looking for a place to meet, celebrate, or host a party, we believe this is a great option.)
Another quality restaurant that you should try. Just open the map and come down to the boat here.
The shop is very easy to find. It is located in the Commu No. 5 project, before reaching HealthLand. There is convenient parking available.
