Banyan Tree Bangkok
Chef Takeshi Shibata
Hello.
This review is for those with a sweet tooth. I will take you to the Banyan Tree Hotel Bangkok, where the hotel has invited French-style Japanese pastry chef Chef Takeshi Shibata to create authentic French desserts with a Japanese twist for three full days, from May 25-27, 2018.

Chef Takeshi Shibata opened his first pastry shop, Chez SHIBATA, in 1995. Driven by his desire to present French-style desserts with a Japanese touch, he has expanded to over 10 branches in Japan and several more internationally. Chef Shibata has also served as a brand ambassador for Japanese matcha green tea and the renowned French chocolate brand Cémoi.
The management style is fast because it has been carefully thought out.

The diverse dessert menu offers a unique culinary experience. The chef's masterful use of ingredients creates a harmonious blend of flavors and textures. For instance, the macarons infused with wasabi and cream cheese showcase a distinct contrast that seamlessly complements each other. The desserts retain the essence of their ingredients, providing a delightful sensory journey. The incorporation of fresh fruits enhances the flavors, while the balanced sweetness ensures a pleasant and accessible experience for all, even those with a limited sweet tooth. These "friendly desserts" are a testament to the chef's creativity and ability to cater to diverse palates.

Chef Takeshi Shibata is a chef who dares to present his Japanese identity through French-style dessert menus. When we taste it, we will feel the Japanese flavor and texture permeate the entire dish, striking a perfect balance. The chef is also bold enough to bring his unique style of deliciousness to the world, rather than just staying in Japan. Of course, it is not easy to achieve such a challenging fusion. The chef's desserts will be served at various restaurants in the Banyan Tree Bangkok Hotel, including Romsai, Taihei, and Vertigo Too, on different days and times according to the promotion details that I have compiled below this review. The chef will only be available for 3 days, from May 25-27, 2018.
Thank you very much.
Ronaldo.
