Peggy Cove Resort

Driven by the relentless pursuit of the perfect durian, we, a group of durian enthusiasts, embarked on a quest to find the most exquisite specimens. Our search led us to the renowned durian haven of Chanthaburi, a city synonymous with the "King of Fruits." However, having frequented Chanthaburi on numerous occasions, we sought a new adventure. The prospect of encountering the enigmatic "Lena Jang" in Rayong deterred us from venturing there. Thus, we unanimously decided to return to the familiar yet irresistible allure of Chanthaburi.

We departed from Bangkok not too early, around mid-morning, to give ourselves a relaxed start. We drove leisurely, entering the motorway and crossing the mountains to Chanthaburi. We intended to visit the Khlung Wiman Reservoir, which reminded us of a charming accommodation we had stayed at previously. We decided to make a stop there, as our companions had never been there before.

Coffee Cove Coffee Shop

Yes, it is Peggy's Cove Resort. The beach of Khung Wiman. It worked. When we arrived, we were very excited because the resort was beautiful. So I told them that they had dungarees to borrow if you stayed with them. The children wanted to wear them. What should I do? I didn't stay with them. I met the manager who remembered me, so I asked to borrow them right there.

The younger brother was kind enough to bring me three sets of clothes in three different colors. He told me to stop at two sets, as it would be enough. The photographer declined, so I ended up wearing a fisherman's bib and taking photos around the accommodation. The younger brother also wanted to stay at the accommodation, but when we asked the staff, they said it was fully booked until the end of the month. So, we ended up just taking photos.

Stairway to the Top of the Lighthouse

Apart from the resort, we also took a break from the heat by sitting and having coffee and cold drinks at The Cove, a small but very chic lighthouse-shaped coffee shop. However, due to the hot sun, our attempt to climb up and take pictures on top of the lighthouse only lasted a short while.

After resting, we realized we were hungry. But wait, we were close to the popular spot, so we decided to check it out first. So, we drove a little further and came across the "Nang Phaya Hill," a popular place for couples to come and lock padlocks together. I don't know who started it, but the gimmick is pretty cool (even though it's a copycat).

Public Opinion

The scorching sun proved too much for the children, who sought refuge in the air-conditioned car for a brief respite. However, they were soon forced to disembark, having slightly overshot their intended destination. They found themselves in a small fishing village with a handful of restaurants. Feeling disinclined to search further, they decided to dine at one of these establishments.

This restaurant boasts breathtaking views and equally impressive cuisine.

After a satisfying meal, we continued our journey. The scorching heat made us seek shade for our next destination. We opted for a place that was neither too hot nor too cold, and where we could see fish. The perfect spot was the **Chalermphrakiet 60th Anniversary Aquarium, Ao Kung Kraben**, conveniently located nearby at Laem Sadet.

Little fish, are you going to be fish food?

Established to commemorate His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej's 72nd birthday, the Department of Fisheries constructed an aquatic animal exhibition center at Ao Kung Kraben Bay. The fish tunnel is a short tunnel. Looking up, you can see fish swimming back and forth.

Viewing Fish in the Tunnel

This phrase describes the experience of observing fish within an underwater tunnel. The tunnel provides a unique perspective for observing aquatic life, allowing viewers to be surrounded by fish and other marine creatures.

There are also a variety of aquariums.

Coming out from the center to Laem Sadet, there are so many delicious foods. I shouldn't have eaten in a hurry.
