With half a day left before our departure, we decided to spend our remaining time souvenir shopping and enjoying a final Hanami experience at a popular local spot. We chose Inokashira Park, a beloved destination among Japanese residents, as our farewell outing.

We opted to travel by JR Chou line from Shinjuku Station to Kichijoji Station. Upon arrival, we exited through the South Gate. While the area boasts various shops and shopping districts, we opted for a visit to the park. Walking down the street with the post office, we encountered a large public park.

Inokashira Park, also known as Inokashira Onshi Koen, is a historic and expansive park established during the Edo period. Characterized by its scenic beauty and lush greenery, the park boasts towering trees that envelop its surroundings. Upon entering, visitors are greeted by the vast Inokashira Pond, a tranquil body of water that infuses the serene park with vibrancy and fresh air.

This park boasts approximately 500 cherry blossom trees, which can be admired from early March to late April. The sight of the cherry blossoms leaning over the pond, their reflection shimmering on the water's surface, is particularly captivating. The blossoms bloom in full glory, creating a breathtaking spectacle that fills the entire garden. This scene serves as a fitting finale to our trip.

Those who prefer to rent a pedal boat or opt for a rowboat will find services available. A considerable number of people, including children, young adults, and families, were observed using the services.

We spent the entire day at the park, soaking in the atmosphere and making the most of our time. As evening approached, we finally decided to head home.

Our ten-day journey has come to an end. Once again, our travels have been filled with a variety of experiences, this time with the help of Japan's most advanced mode of transportation: the train.

This epic journey across Japan, spanning thousands of kilometers, would have been impossible without this incredible tool that saved us countless hours of travel time. And, as always, there will be a next time, though when and where remain a mystery. One thing's for sure, though: whenever my fingers slip and I accidentally book a flight to Japan, you can bet I'll be ready to explore!

Thank you for following our long journey together. We will review our next trip for you to read. Don't forget to travel with Big Brother and Little Sister.
