Zleep Hotel Pattaya Naklua

After checking out of the @Zleep hotel, we realized we still had a long journey ahead of us, at least an hour and a half or two hours. Therefore, we thought it would be a good idea to stock up on lunch before we left. However, there was a nearby market that was a hub for seafood and various restaurants called the Larn Pho Na Kluea Market, or the Old Na Kluea Market. So, let's go!

A five-minute drive brought us to the Lan Pho Market. To avoid distractions, we decided to grab a bite to eat first. With the remaining time, we could then browse for souvenirs to bring home.

Meng Kee Roasted Duck Restaurant is a long-standing establishment in the Larn Pho Market. Renovated by the younger generation, the restaurant prioritizes a modern and comfortable atmosphere while preserving its traditional charm. The contemporary design elements create an inviting ambiance for diners.

Avoid using styrofoam boxes.

The interior of the shop is adorned with numerous royal portraits depicting various auspicious moments.

Including food pictures on the menu makes ordering easier for both Thai and foreign customers.

When visiting a roast duck restaurant, ordering roast duck is a must, isn't it? Eating only rice wouldn't allow you to try the noodles. Therefore, order both roast duck rice and roast duck noodles.

This restaurant's roasted duck noodles look delicious, even though they don't have any vegetables (ordered without vegetables).

The meat looks juicy, the skin looks crispy.

The duck noodles at this restaurant are excellent. The duck meat is tender and juicy, not tough or chewy. The skin is crispy, and the sauce poured over the noodles is perfectly sweet and salty. The noodles are thin and chewy, making for a truly delicious dish.

Let's move on to duck with rice.

The taste and texture of the duck and its crispy skin were indistinguishable from the first bowl of duck noodles (as they were made the same way). However, when eaten with rice, the dish took on a new dimension of softness. The grainy texture of the rice, combined with the perfectly blanched, crisp green Chinese broccoli, further enhanced the flavor of this dish.

The price is considered quite high, with a special duck noodle at 90 baht (normal 75 baht) and a normal duck rice at 75 baht. However, the taste is considered to be worth the price.

"If you happen to be in the area, do stop by and try it out. Feel free to share your thoughts, whether you enjoyed it or not. I must excuse myself now to go shopping for souvenirs at the Larn Pho Market."
