Khum Dum Noen Resort, a newly opened haven, is conveniently located near the renowned Damnoen Saduak Floating Market in Ratchaburi province. Its proximity to the equally charming Amphawa Floating Market adds to its allure. Having opened its doors in early July, the resort boasts impeccable modern design, both in its architecture and its rooms. The serene ambiance, enveloped by lush greenery, provides the perfect setting for a relaxing getaway.

Ideal for those seeking a quick escape from the city's hustle and bustle, Khum Dum Noen Resort offers a convenient retreat. Situated just a short drive of approximately one hour from Bangkok, the resort provides easy accessibility. Moreover, the resort offers long-tail boat tours to the historic Damnoen Saduak Floating Market, a renowned tourist destination.

The market showcases the vibrant lifestyle of local vendors, who sell fresh produce and fruits directly from their boats and riverside stalls. Witnessing the unique charm of vendors navigating the waterways while selling their wares is an unforgettable experience.

Upon arrival, guests are greeted at the lobby of Khum Damnoen Resort, where they are offered refreshing welcome drinks. The lobby boasts luxurious decor.

One of the highlights of our stay was the availability of electric massage chairs for guests, accessible 24/7. We couldn't resist indulging in multiple massage sessions during our stay.

The accommodations are divided into 5 types as follows:

1. Superior rooms are available in 33 units, each measuring 23 square meters.

2. Superior Pool Villa: 4 rooms, 22 sqm each.

3. Deluxe Pool Villa: 4 rooms, each 33 sqm.

4. Deluxe Pool Villa with Outdoor Jacuzzi: 3 rooms, 31 sqm.

5. Grand Deluxe Pool Villa with Outdoor Jacuzzi: 3 rooms, 37 sqm.

We will now take you on a tour of the different types of rooms.

Let's start with the room we stayed in, which is called the Deluxe Pool Villa with Outdoor Jacuzzi.

The room is decorated in a traditional Thai style, with each piece of furniture beautifully and harmoniously arranged. The high ceilings, large and comfortable bed, and complete amenities make for a luxurious stay. The highlight is the extra-large TV, which can be clearly seen from the bed.

The bathroom is luxuriously decorated, featuring a bathtub and a washbasin separate from the rain shower area. Towels are provided for both the pool and the bathroom, and they are exceptionally large and soft. It is evident that the resort uses only high-quality materials throughout.

The luxurious faucet is very beautiful.

The resort provides a fully stocked refrigerator with complimentary soft drinks, beer, and snacks for guests. Guests staying for two nights will receive additional refills.

The room features a jacuzzi on the front porch, perfect for soaking and unwinding. The jacuzzi offers adjustable water temperature for your comfort.

Let's take a look at other types of rooms.

The Superior rooms are located in the main building and are available with either a double or single bed. The rooms are beautifully decorated in a Thai-European style. However, the rooms in the main building do not have balconies. They only have small windows that open into the bathroom.

The Superior Pool Villa is a detached villa located next to the swimming pool. Please note that this room does not have a bathtub in the bedroom.

The Deluxe Pool Villa consists of four adjacent rooms located in a row next to the swimming pool. These rooms offer a larger floor area and feature a bathtub inside the room.

The Grand Deluxe Pool Villa with Outdoor Jacuzzi is the largest room type, but its layout is similar to the Deluxe Pool Villa with Outdoor Jacuzzi.

However, the bathroom and living room are larger.

The bathroom is exceptionally spacious and boasts luxurious and elegant decor.

The resort's swimming pool is 70 meters long and uses a salt-based system, which we particularly enjoyed. It was a pleasure to swim in, and it didn't irritate our skin or leave a strong chlorine odor. The pool's end features a jacuzzi, and guests whose rooms lack one can enjoy it in the communal area.

The resort offers unicorn-shaped inflatable rings for guests to borrow and enjoy.

After showing you all the different types of rooms, we will take you to the restaurant and coffee shop. In addition to being a resort for guests to relax, there is also a restaurant that outside customers can use. The food here is not expensive and the taste is very delicious. For lunch, we tried some spicy dishes, which were all very delicious.

The coffee shop is located near the front of the restaurant. During our visit, they had a promotion where you could get a free pastry with the purchase of a drink, valid until July 31, 2018. This is an excellent deal for anyone who is not staying at the hotel but is visiting the floating market. The drinks and pastries are delicious.

For dinner, we enjoyed a meal at the resort's restaurant. We were impressed by the delicious food we had at lunch, and dining at the resort was convenient. In the evening, the restaurant had live music, featuring a talented singer.

Breakfast is served from 7:00 AM to 10:30 AM. If there are few guests, the hotel will prepare a set menu for you to choose from. The options include rice porridge, American breakfast, fruits, scrambled eggs, and fried eggs. You can choose to eat in the dining room or at the round pavilions that extend into the water. However, if you wake up late, it might be a bit hot to eat outside.

After breakfast, we have an appointment to take a boat to the floating market. You can board the boat at the resort's pier. They will have a long-tail boat ready for you, as long as you have made an appointment in advance. It is recommended to go around 8-9 am, so the weather is not too hot and the floating market will be bustling with activity. There will be plenty of food for sale.

The floating market cruise program includes a visit to Wat Phrong Charoen in Khlong Damnoen Saduak for prayers and merit-making.

Before checking out, we still had some time to spare, so we took some photos at various spots around the resort. There were many beautiful photo spots, so photography enthusiasts shouldn't miss it.

This is the experience we had the opportunity to stay at Khum Damnoen Resort during July 4-5, 2018.

Overall, Khum Damnoen Resort is a beautifully decorated and luxurious resort at an affordable price. The amenities are very complete and all of high quality. The staff service is excellent, always helpful and informative. The breakfast and other meals are delicious. The cleanliness of the rooms and the resort is constantly maintained by the housekeeping and staff. For those looking for a value-for-money accommodation, not too far away and affordable compared to the standard and service, we highly recommend this resort as another option.
