Rainy season

Rainy season, a time when many people may not want to go anywhere because the weather is so inviting to sleep in and makes it hard to wake up in the morning. But try packing your bags and traveling during the rainy season. Nature will be lush and green, the air cool and comfortable, and the sun not too hot. Trees and flowers will be competing to show off their colors. Spend a day and night in Thong Pha Phum, Kanchanaburi, sleeping under the stars, standing in the morning mist, exploring the forests and mountains, driving through the 3D tunnel, and conquering the Everest of Thong Pha Phum. Then go play in the waterfalls. Kanchanaburi has it all. Have you ever been there? ^^

Before reaching the Heaven's Hill viewpoint, we spotted a waterfall in the distance and decided to take a closer look. It was called Pha Daeng Waterfall, and it only flows during the rainy season.

The waterfall here has a white color due to the rocks on the mountain...

This white watercolor is very unusual; I've never seen anything like it before.

It was getting dark when we arrived.

Only two of us are staying here tonight. Our destination for tonight is to stay overnight here.

The day we went, it was raining and the weather was cool. The viewpoint at Heaven's Hill does not charge an entrance fee. You can pitch a tent and sleep there, but you must inform the officers at the guard post first. There will be 5-6 officers on duty to ensure your safety. There are two restrooms, showers, and toilets available. The camping area is large enough to accommodate almost 50-60 tents. This place is very clean. The officers do not charge any fees, but we put money in the donation box located at both restrooms. The donation is entirely up to the visitors. If you are not comfortable sleeping in a tent, there are many resorts in Sahkon Nikhom Subdistrict. You will see them along the way. You can try contacting them to book a room.

Not sleepy yet, playing with the night, playing with fire, taking pictures of a million stars.

There are also couple photos.^^

The cool air made me want to sleep. I slept in the car, listening to the sound of raindrops hitting the sunroof until I fell asleep.

Good morning.

The morning mist spreads with a light drizzle.

There is a phone signal on the top, so you can play Facebook and Line comfortably.

The road we drove up last night was a gravel road for only 1 km, and the rest was paved.

The building on the left-hand side houses the shower and toilet facilities.

This is another bathroom located near the camping area.

Cook simple meals for yourself.

🍗 For this meal, we're having something better than instant noodles. We stopped by 7-Eleven to buy fried rice before coming up, and we put it in a cooler with ice. In the morning, we can reheat it and eat it. There are no shops up here, so we had to buy supplies before coming up.

Morning coffee with a million dollar view.

After a simple breakfast, we took a walk and took some photos. There are many beautiful places to take pictures here.

The rain is falling steadily.

This route can take you to Huai Mae Khamin Waterfall, but the road is not good. 4x4 vehicles would probably enjoy it.

The room where we slept last night.............

The concrete area can be used for dancing, or you can dance on the grass below. The bathroom and shower room are on the left-hand side.

At nine o'clock, we have an appointment with our guide, Mr. Bear, who will take us on a tour of the 3D tunnel. To visit the 3D tunnel and conquer the Everest of Thong Pha Phum, you must contact the guide in advance. Cars are not allowed to drive in.

🚗 If you don't have a pickup truck, don't worry, I have a car for you. The tour guide service fee is 1000-1500 baht. You can negotiate the price. My contact number will be listed below. I also have ATVs for rent to drive through the tunnel.

Embarking on an adventurous journey into the 3D tunnel.

Intact primary rainforest

This road is not suitable for sedans.

Approaching the first tunnel, which is relatively short and has a visible exit.

It was fun and exciting. Brother Bear will tell us stories about the history of these mines...

We are approaching the second tunnel, which is longer than the first.

The remnants of past mining operations.

The interior is spacious in several places. When we turn on the high beams, we can see the beauty of this tunnel.

Traces of the old mining machinery can still be seen.

This is known as the Mount Everest of Thong Pha Phum.

This is an unseen point, the light that shines through the tunnel opening above.

Arriving at the final tunnel, which is over 2.3 kilometers long.

The air inside is so cold that it's foggy.

The structure on the right is a ventilation pipe used to supply air to the tunnel during mining operations.

Halfway through the drive, you will encounter a waterfall cascading from the tunnel opening above. The sight of the water illuminated by the lights is breathtaking.

Our guide, Mr. Bear, I will leave his contact number below.

Before heading back, we made a quick stop at two more waterfalls. This one is Saphan Lao Waterfall, located behind the Saphan Lao Pracharangsan Temple. We parked our car at the temple and walked down about 150 meters to reach the falls.
