Farmers are planting rice in the paddy field in front of Touch Star Resort.

After leaving Mae Ya Waterfall, the rain gradually turned into a fine drizzle that sprinkled all the way. However, the good road conditions made riding the motorcycle relatively easy. We opened the GPS on our phone and drove on until we reached our accommodation for the night, the Touch Star Resort, a natural mineral water resort in Doi Inthanon, Chiang Mai.

Touch Star Resort Entrance

Touch Star is conveniently located just off the main road, on the way to Doi Inthanon. The paved road leads directly to the village, making it easily accessible and safe. There are also shops and restaurants along the way, so you won't have to worry about finding food. Just a short drive away on the main road, you'll find a variety of restaurants, both large and small, to choose from. Alternatively, you can enjoy meals at the resort itself.

Welcome!

Upon entering, the dining area is located on the left, while a spacious green lawn adorned with decorative figurines and various photo props for customers' amusement occupies the right. A red telephone booth catches the eye, prompting a fleeting thought of changing into a red undergarment had a suitable outfit been brought along.

Hotel Lobby

The lobby is located next to the dining room. It is a small wooden building, but it is beautifully decorated. The staff welcomed us with a welcome drink, a beautiful pink lychee juice served in a small earthenware cup. After a brief chat, she took us to see the room we would be staying in that day.

Figurines: Various figurines adorning the gardens and lawns of the resort.

The upper part of the mushroom is indeed a mushroom, but it is unknown what type of mushroom it is. It is as large as a pot lid.

A spacious lawn

Should phone booths be transformed?

The family-style house serves as both a living space and a prop for the lawn (in our opinion).

Gate arch, benches, and sheep

There are rice mills and windmills too. Take it easy.

The piglets were nestled in a corner of the garden along the path.

The resort's longan orchard: Staff say you can pick and eat freely (Gotcha, suckers!)

Translation notes:

  • The original text is informal and playful, using slang and emojis.
  • The translated text maintains the playful tone while using more formal language.
  • The parenthetical remark "Gotcha, suckers!" is added to capture the mischievous intent of the original text.
  • The translation is concise and accurate, reflecting the meaning of the original text.

The path to our room is the main walkway, then turn down to the garden and go to the waterfront. It is a room next to a small canal that passes through the resort, which is made into separate buildings. There is a balcony for sitting in front of the house and a set of stone tables placed next to the house. In front is a lawn, and there is also a swing in front of the house.

Our Rooms

The small birdhouse is too low for birds to feel comfortable nesting in it.

The balcony in front of the room is a great place to sit and play the guitar and sing, but I forgot, I can't play the guitar. Haha!

Dressing table, TV, cabinet

Equipment in the room and bathroom

Bed and bedside table, single bed for one person, mother will roll all over.

This room is actually quite lovely and charming (plus it has a lychee tree outside). However, we remember seeing a room with fish paintings and a blue room with a flower garden on the hotel's website, so we asked the staff about the price. The staff member informed us that all rooms at the hotel are priced the same, except for the family room on the hill, which is more expensive than all other rooms.

The beautiful wall paintings were reportedly done by the resort staff themselves. They are quite impressive.

We then asked if we could stay in the room with the fish picture or the blue room. The staff member informed us that both rooms were available that day, but they would be located further away. Additionally, the area was currently unoccupied. However, there was a room available on the upper floor. If we were interested in changing, they would be happy to show us. We eagerly agreed and followed them to see the room.

Pathways from the room to various areas of the resort

Before reaching the guest rooms, we must pass by the "natural hot spring", the origin of the full name of Touch Star Resort. So let's stop by for a bit.

A natural hot spring flows down from the mountain. The resort has built a pool for guests to enjoy bathing or soaking in the water at their leisure.

Condominium Unit

Just a short walk away, we came across a row of two-story buildings with a modern Thai design. Each room had a balcony, similar to our own. The staff took us to see a vacant room, which was decorated in a similar style. The furniture was made of large pieces of wood, reminiscent of houses on the Doi. There was a large glass window that allowed us to admire the view of the garden from the comfort of our bed.

Single Bungalow Room

We took a shortcut through the back, which was quite a distance from our resting spot and the apartment building. It led to a small, charming bungalow-style room. Although this area was not occupied by any guests, it was beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean.

Blue room with floral pattern

The first room we saw was a sky-blue room with floral patterns. The room was painted in a bright sky-blue color, with a window painted on the side wall. Small flowering plants were placed on the windowsill, and sheer white curtains allowed plenty of natural light to enter, making the room feel bright and airy. The furniture was different from the furniture in our room and the building's rooms, as it was white and painted with small, cute floral patterns. It was a room that looked sweet and feminine, suitable for a small woman. Although we were alone, we thought that if there were no guests staying in this zone, we should not increase the workload of the staff. Besides, we were too lazy to walk. 5555+ In our old place, we could reach the dining area with just a short walk.

The officer explained that this room was once used as a reception room for Her Royal Highness Princess Siripajudhabhorn during her visit to Doi Inthanon, Chiang Mai. Although this room is a bit far for us, we still did not give up trying to see the koi fish room that we saw on the website.

Sweet and Lovely Furniture Mix and Match

This phrase describes a style of furniture that combines sweet and lovely elements. It suggests a playful and charming aesthetic, likely featuring soft colors, delicate patterns, and whimsical shapes.

The next room is the "Koi Room," which is decorated in an ocean blue color with sponge-like patterns painted all around. Most notably, both walls feature large koi fish swimming around the room.

Double Room

"The Craft Fish Room"

The receptionist who led the tour explained that the room was painted by a staff member of the resort. It took over a month to complete, including the various paintings throughout the resort, such as the sunflower field in the dining room and the blue room. After completing the paintings, the staff member resigned, leaving the painted murals as they are today.

The bathroom is painted with brick walls and a flower garden.

We would like to thank the staff who took us on a tour of the rooms. She mentioned that there was one more family room that we hadn't seen yet, but we asked her to let us go out and explore since the rain had stopped. If we have time, we will ask her to take us to see the other rooms again. We think the owner must be an artist or have an appreciation for art, which would likely result in an aesthetically pleasing interior design style. But for today, let's leave it at that.
