Ang Sila Market Symbol

Leaving the Ko Loi market, we didn't head straight home as we had initially planned. Khun Mae Khra, in her infinite wisdom, decided she needed a new mortar and pestle from Ang Sila. So, we took a detour to fulfill her wish.

The location where we parked our car is the Ang Sila Fish Market. This area is dedicated to selling dried food, dried seafood, and souvenirs from Ang Sila and Chonburi. The seaside area does not sell fresh seafood; fresh seafood is sold at a separate market on the other side.

Souvenirs

Sticky rice in bamboo and snacks, or real food, are not against the rules.

Stroll and shop throughout the market.

Across the street, there is a fresh market with a wide variety of fresh seafood for sale. Simple cooking services such as steaming, grilling, and roasting are available at a reasonable price. However, we believe that the prices at the Pho Thong Na Kluea market are slightly lower.

The market is bustling with shoppers.

Blacktip reef sharks and stingrays are also present.

Ready to eat.

After a quick stop at Ang Sila Market to buy souvenirs, I managed to snag a stone mortar for grinding curry paste, some salted fish, fragrant mackerel, and a small bag of dried squid for a late-night snack. With my purchases complete, it was time to head home and wrap up our 3-day, 2-night trip to Chanthaburi with my mother.

Thank you for watching.
