After visiting Pattani and developing a craving for durian, GoNeverStop decided to return for another round of the fruit. During their previous trip, they only sampled local varieties such as Phuang Mani, Kanyao, and Chanee, but missed out on the renowned Mon Thong. Following work, they headed to Lumphini Park for the National Agriculture Fair, where they heard the owner of a durian orchard was personally attending a booth.

The National Farmers' Day event was held from August 30 to September 2 at Lumphini Park. It is easily accessible from Lumphini MRT station. The event was open from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM.

The entrance to the event is decorated with a beautiful flower garden, and at night it is illuminated with stunning lights.

There are many beautiful photo spots, especially during the rainy season when the atmosphere is even more refreshing and picturesque.

The event will feature a variety of activities, including vocational training, a tree competition, sales of agricultural products from each province, food from the four regions of Thailand, and an agricultural exhibition.

By the time we arrived, it was already evening and we didn't have much time. Let's start shopping!

A wide variety of products are made from farmed crickets, showcasing the evolution of cricket-based cuisine. These include cricket chili paste, canned crispy fried crickets, and cricket curry puffs, among others.

Cassava can grow this tall!

Pineapple and passion fruit juice looks very refreshing and delicious.

Salted catfish, when fried, emits a fragrant aroma that wafts through the neighborhood. It is often served with a variety of dried seafood.

After a long search, I finally got to try the "shrimp stretch" dish. Every single shrimp was perfectly cooked.

Freshly peeled whole coconuts.

Let's take a look at the restaurant seating area. When I visited, it wasn't too crowded, so I was able to find a seat easily.

Witness the live demonstration of two ancient Thai desserts: Khanom Gesorn Lamchiak and Sampannee Sawoey. Have you ever tasted these delicacies before?

This tastes similar to Khanom Phing, but without coconut milk.

This is a young coconut pancake. Eat it while it's hot. It's crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and very fragrant.

**Chocolate-coated lady finger bananas** are available in various sizes, including portable sachets, making them a convenient and ideal snack option for in-between meals.

My favorite dessert is "Khanom Hua Laan," a sweet soup similar to "boluo" with a peanut filling cooked in a pan. It has a perfect balance of sweetness and richness.

Fresh oysters: I didn't try this because I don't like them very much. Also, I was dining alone and wouldn't have been able to finish a whole plate.

This dish is a must-try! It's called "Miang Kham" and it's a rare delicacy from Pattani. The preparation is quite complex, requiring multiple washes before it can be served. As opportunities to visit Pattani are limited, this dish is a must-have when you get the chance. Don't miss out!

Fragrant rice salad with budu sauce from the southern region of Thailand. Many recipes and variations are available from different provinces.

Betong noodles are available both pre-cooked and as raw noodles to take home and cook yourself.

Smoked fish in a small bag, perfect for another snack.

**Glutinous rice** and **non-glutinous rice** come from many different regions and provinces. It is worth trying them all.

I came across this shop and was immediately drawn to it. I had just read about it in a book the day before, and it was a place I had visited in Trang province before. This time, there were so many beautiful designs and colors that I couldn't resist buying something. I ended up getting a pair of pink pants with a stunning fabric pattern.

In addition to fabrics from various provinces, indigo fabrics from Sakon Nakhon are also outstanding, with beautiful patterns and very soft textures.

Although we came to the event specifically for durian, we were disappointed to find that the "Mon Thong" variety from Ban Sai Khao in Pattani was not yet ripe. We will have to wait until Sunday, the last day of the event. However, we did purchase some durian jam to enjoy in the meantime.

Besides the photos we took, there are many other agricultural products that are eye-catching, impressive, and worth buying. We couldn't capture everything because our hands were full.

Remember to bring your own shopping cart or reusable bag to help reduce global warming.
