Returning as promised, with stories from Bali, where I inexplicably went twice.

However, it was only 2 rounds that I haven't been able to travel around completely. I'll tell you why later.

First Time in Bali, a trip continuing from Bromo on the island of Java.

After parting ways with our guide on the other side, we took a ferry for about an hour.

We arrived in Bali on the afternoon of May 29th. We will be exploring the area for a short time before returning to Thailand.

On May 31st, I have only 1.5 days to travel with no plans.

The distance from the port to the accommodation near Kuta Beach is approximately 100 kilometers.

According to the guide on the other side, the taxi fare from the port to Kuta Beach is

This translates to:

"It cost around 500,000 rupees. As soon as I got off the boat, taxis swarmed me before I could even look around."

Our team discussed beforehand that we would visit various points of interest along the way to our accommodation.

For example, Tanah Lot.

We agreed on a price of 700,000 rupees with an English-speaking taxi driver, which was an acceptable rate.

As we had no plans, we readily agreed to go wherever they suggested. It turned out that our friend Tag drove us around the island.

And then we cut up the hill and came back to Kuta Beach. Well done, brother. At least we got to see the lake view, right?

Subsequently, we were led by our guide to visit a renowned temple, Pura Ulun Danu Bratan.

It is a place that is on the tourism promotion sign. Even though it is famous, haha.

The highlight is the pavilion in the middle of the water, with mountains in the background. However, it is difficult to take a picture without people in it.

Occasionally, a duck boat would pass by, disrupting the mood.

We then waited to watch the sunset at Tanah Lot.

Today was an incredibly tiring day. We had to wake up at 1:00 AM to witness the Kawaii Jejian.

We continued our journey until the sun set at Tanah Lot. We checked into our accommodation quite late.

We chose to stay at Cara Cara Inn on Kuta Beach. We were so tired that we didn't take any pictures of the accommodation.

We stayed in a room for 3 people, which was very comfortable, for just over 1000 baht per night.

Breakfast is good. The location is within walking distance of Kuta Beach.

We negotiated with the same taxi driver for the remaining days because it was easy to communicate with him. However, we were only able to visit a few places due to the lack of a plan.

Traveling from one place to another in Bali can take a considerable amount of time. Coincidentally, the day we went happened to coincide with…

Galungan Ceremony is a Balinese holiday where people visit temples to perform rituals.

The exact name for these structures is unknown, but they are consistently erected along the path.

We intended to visit the museum, but it was closed. Disappointed, we decided to move on.

We visited Uluwatu Temple, a stunning cliffside temple offering breathtaking views of the ocean and dramatic cliffs.

After that, we wandered around aimlessly, ending the day with a breathtaking sunset at Kuta Beach.

Our guide recommended a local restaurant serving Lombok-style cuisine.

It is edible to some extent, but not entirely. Some things are truly bizarre.

This concludes the first round of Bali, which was not a planned trip.

While acknowledging the ease of traveling to Bali, I decided to bring my parents along on the trip.

Bali Revisited (July 28-31, 2018)

This time we will bring our parents with us, so the trip needs to be a bit more comfortable.

We opted for a car rental service with a driver. We contacted Teddy Bali Tour.

Teddy is a highly professional and familiar figure to Thai customers. Just tell him

When will you be in Bali? They quickly sent a rough itinerary.

We can discuss any specific places you'd like to visit or avoid.

The daily car rental price is only 500,000 rupees. Oh, I know. Last time I was charged more.

Last time, we didn't go to Ubud, which is also a popular spot. This time, we're planning to stay around there.

Teddy will let us book the hotel ourselves. We will look according to the itinerary sent.

We booked accommodation in Ubud for 2 nights and at Kuta Beach for 1 night, as we had to leave for the airport early the next morning.

We departed from Thailand early in the morning and arrived in Bali around 11:00 AM. The immigration queue was very long.

We stopped for lunch at Iga warung on the way.

It is observed that this is a shop that has a concession agreement with various tour operators, and the prices are quite expensive.

Our first stop was the GWK cultural park.

It is a place where artists come to make various sculptures. We can't remember the entrance fee.

Enjoying taking photos.

Subsequently, we visited Uluwatu Temple, which was our favorite spot from our previous trip.

We believe parents would appreciate it, and it's not too far from the airport area.

It's still as beautiful as ever, but there are a lot of people.

The plan was to visit Nusa Dua Beach, but it was already late in the evening, so we decided to skip it.

The driver said that we could only see the outer perimeter due to strong waves.

We headed straight to Ubud, but it was a very long car ride, taking over 2 hours.

Traffic jam in Bali!! With narrow roads and lots of cars.

For dinner, we walked around the hotel looking for food.

We stayed at Sri Bungalow Ubud. The atmosphere was great.

We chose this hotel based on its proximity to various walking streets, as mentioned in Agoda reviews.

The room is beautiful and the view is amazing.

Early on the morning of the 2nd, there was an exciting event. Mount Rinjani on Lombok Island experienced an earthquake.

We felt the tremors, but life here continues as usual.

Today, we will visit various locations not far from Ubud.

We found this to be a positive development, as we were weary of traffic congestion and lengthy commutes.

Teddy originally suggested visiting the Bali Swing and exploring the rice terraces.

However, we felt it was not suitable for our faculty, so we requested a change and were able to watch the Barong Dance instead.

While we waited, our guide took us to an excellent souvenir shopping area. I was impressed.

The translation of the sentence is:

"Very cheap, I noticed that only Indonesians come here. We are spending millions here."

After that, we stopped by to try civet coffee. Even though we didn't buy any coffee, they still gave us some to try.

The cafe surprisingly had a swing, and since it wasn't crowded, we decided to give it a try.

Seemingly indifferent, yet with a subtle hint of excitement.

The driver suggested that we visit the Rice Terrace on our way back, as it is conveniently located on our route.

We went to enjoy a meal with a view of the Kintamani volcano.

This is another restaurant that has a partnership with tour guides, but this time it's a buffet.

100,000 rupees per person

The place was crowded, the food was average, but the view was amazing.

The sentence is already in English and does not require translation.

Next, we will visit Pura Tirta Empul, a temple with a sacred spring.

Despite having seen numerous images, the most surprising aspect was the abundance of fish within the pond.

They are all very big.

Our final stop of the day was a visit to the Rice Terraces.

The advantage of coming in the evening is that there are fewer people. The disadvantage is that the lighting is not very good.

It was a relaxing day, not too tiring, and without much traffic congestion.

The weather during our current visit to Bali is overcast with occasional showers, a stark contrast to the clear skies we experienced on our previous trip.

Strong winds and waves, as they say, because our schedule will have to go to the island.

The popular Nusa Penida Island, frequently seen on Instagram, is a cause for concern for guides due to its strong waves.

We also did not want our parents to worry, so we agreed with the guide to cancel the trip.

Therefore, we had to come up with a plan on the spot for the remaining full day.

We agreed to go 3-4 places at most.

Our first stop was Tibumana Waterfall.

Personally, I prefer nature trips to visiting temples.

The waterfall here is small, only a short walk down for us, but it was tiring for our parents.

The lush greenery fills the heart with joy.

Subsequently, we visited Besakih Temple, the largest temple complex.

The most beautiful for us is also the guide said that you can see the smoldering Mount Agung from here.

However, as mentioned earlier, the weather is not cooperating, and the sky is completely white.

Next, we plan to visit two more places: Taman Ayun Temple and Tanah Lot.

To witness the last sunset before checking in to the hotel in Kuta.

However, after sitting in the car for hours, it seems impossible based on the time.

Negotiating directly with the guide, we questioned whether the plan was feasible, as our parents were starting to tire.

After some discussion, we decided to go to Tanah Lot as our final destination.

Although we have been there before, our parents still wanted to see the sea.

We arrived in time for the sunset, but Tanah Lot this time was not the same.

The waves were rough, and I was glad I didn't go to the island.

The biggest wave I've ever seen in my life.

We will end our trip here. We will stay at Kuta for convenience.

The only thing I did was sleep early to prepare for my early morning flight to the airport.

This trip was primarily documented through video recordings to preserve memories with family.

The photos are not as plentiful as they should be, and they are not very beautiful. Haha.

In my opinion, Bali offers a wide range of attractions and activities.

The journey was exhausting, with heavy traffic and narrow roads.

The long travel time between destinations is a major factor limiting the number of places that can be visited.

To optimize your time, plan your itinerary carefully and focus on exploring a single zone.

We observed a wide range of engaging activities, including trekking, whitewater rafting, island hopping, and scuba diving.

If I have the opportunity to visit Bali again, I would like to try these activities.

This time, I took my parents to broaden their horizons, but just a little bit like this is enough.

Let me share with you a comparison of the differences between hiring a guide.

This sentence describes a risky taxi-hailing strategy where passengers take their chances without prior arrangements.

We believe that the first time we went with a taxi, we might have been lucky to meet a good person.

Although the price was higher, as we did not bargain much, we had the opportunity to experience local life more deeply.

What a delicious meal! I'm truly enjoying the authentic local cuisine.

Traveling with a guide is convenient and arguably the best option, especially when accompanied by parents. However, there are certain aspects that we may find undesirable.

Sometimes, tour guides take tourists to restaurants or places that are specifically designed for tourists.

This could be due to a lack of clear communication about our needs.

I hope this review is helpful to some extent.

How many times do you need to visit Indonesia before you're satisfied?
