Leaving Wat Bang Kaenoy, we took a boat to another temple, Wat Bang Chak, also known as Wat Kesorn Saranaram or Wat Luang Pu On, depending on your preference.
Founded in 1807, Wat Bang Chak was originally known as Wat Mai Ta Phet, named after the land donor, Mr. Phet. In 1933, the name was changed to Wat Kesorn Saranaram at the behest of the Supreme Patriarch (Chuan Uthayanee).
This temple has been continuously developed and renovated, earning the royal designation of "Visungkaam Sima" in 1877. It also houses an ancient ordination hall dating back to the late Ayutthaya and early Rattanakosin periods.

This ubosot was built in 1897 and houses the principal Buddha statue of the temple, along with statues of Moggallana and Sariputta. The interior walls of the ubosot are adorned with murals painted in earth pigments mixed with tree sap, depicting the Buddha and the ten Jataka tales.

Background: Luang Pu Aen, originally known as "M.R.W. Aen Isarankura Na Ayutthaya," was ordained at Wat Rakang. After his ordination, he resided at Wat Rakang, where he served and studied Vipassana meditation and magic with Somdet Phra Phutthachan (Toh). He was a senior disciple of Somdet Phra Phutthachan (Toh).

Subsequently, he resided at Wat Phrong Khlong Wua, also known as Wat Phrong Sutharam, in Amphawa District, Samut Songkhram Province. He then moved to Wat Bang Chak, where he remained until his passing.
The Ten Jataka Tales
The mural paintings at Wat Bang Chak are beautiful and still retain their sharpness. However, due to their location near the river, they have been damaged by humidity and mold. Despite this, they still retain their original beauty.
It was already late in the evening when we left Wat Bang Chak. The boat driver told us that it would be too late to visit the fifth temple, so we decided to go straight to the Amphawa Floating Market. Around 8 pm, he would come back to pick us up to see the fireflies.
We drove past Wat Phummarin Kudi Thong, but did not stop because it was getting late.
