This impromptu trip to Koh Larn was a whirlwind of relaxation and culinary exploration. Without much planning, we booked a room at Baan Saithong, a beachfront property on the stunning Ta Waen Beach. - Ta Waen Beach: The crystal-clear waters and soft sand of Ta Waen Beach were perfect for swimming, sunbathing, and enjoying the picturesque scenery.

Traveling to Koh Larn
For this trip, we drove our car and parked it at the automatic parking lot near the Laem Bali Hai Pier parking lot. The parking building uses a lift system and is managed by the Pattaya City municipality. It is recommended to park your car early in the morning. There are two parking options: hourly parking at 30 baht per hour and **overnight parking at 300 baht per night**. We chose to park our car overnight. On the way back to pick up the car, you may have to wait in line for a while, but you can be assured that your car will be safe while you are enjoying your time on Koh Larn.
The sky was incredibly beautiful on the day we traveled, with barely a trace of rain in sight.
The journey has begun.
Prepare a boat fare of 30 baht per person, for two people it's 60 baht. Why am I adding this up for you? 555+ To head to Koh Larn, you can choose to disembark at either:
- Na Baan Pier
- Ta Waen Beach Pier (we will focus on this passenger pier in particular)
You can choose the pier that is most convenient for you. It is recommended to choose a pier that is close to your accommodation. For those who want to play in the water and return to the mainland, going to Ta Waen Beach is also a good option. After playing in the water, you can return to Pattaya and continue your trip. The earliest departure time is 8:00 AM (Pattaya-Ta Waen Beach). As for the return trip, there is a departure around 1:00 PM if there are enough people to fill the boat. The information in the picture is accurate.
The ship is ready. Let's go! I must whisper that there are a lot of passengers. It is recommended to wear a life jacket for safety.
Safety first.
We have arrived.
Thank you, Captain, for safely delivering us to our destination.
I arrived in the morning, so there weren't many people around. It was very private and peaceful.
Checking in at Baan Sai Thong Resort
As a huge fan of the classic Thai drama "House of Sand," particularly the iconic scene where Petchmanee enters the house, I was thrilled to book a stay at this accommodation. I made my reservation directly by phone. For those interested in staying on Koh Larn, I recommend checking out the website 100 Koh Larn Accommodations, which allows you to book directly with the properties or through online platforms. This website is more reliable than some others that may not have updated information. With its comprehensive information on accommodations, you're sure to find the perfect place for your stay. Personally, I opted for the "House of Sand," conveniently located near Ta-waen Beach.
Before reaching the accommodation, we stopped to capture the breathtaking scenery. The stunning views left a lasting impression.

Baan Sai Thong Resort, located on Ta-Aewan Beach.
The Ban Saithong resort is located behind the Baan Hoy restaurant. To reach it from the pier, take a short walk from the Haad Ta Waen pier. You'll find the resort in a lane with several other accommodations. We chose to stay on September 1st for one night in a room with breakfast (American breakfast or rice porridge, your choice). The package included a motorbike and a diving package, all for 2,380 baht (approximately 1,190 baht per person). We opted for a sea-view room, just 200 meters from the beach. We could rent a beach chair for 30 baht until 3 pm, after which it was free due to the lack of tourists.
The rooms here are quiet and peaceful, with minimal noise or disturbances in the evenings. This makes them ideal for relaxation and restful sleep, allowing you to sleep in and wake up refreshed.

We have been assigned room number 2!!
The room was clean and tidy. It had a sofa, a TV, and was well-equipped with amenities.
This is a Sea View corner with a distant view of the sea.
The balcony features comfortable chairs for relaxing in the afternoon.
This is the motorbike we received from booking a room (if booked separately, it costs 400 baht per bike).
Did you know?
It is important to note that you cannot ride a motorbike on Haad Ta Waen Beach Road. Motorcycles are prohibited from driving on the beach road from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM for the safety of tourists.
As mentioned, this was a relaxing trip where we didn't want to prepare anything ourselves. We left our belongings in the room and changed into our swimsuits to continue our diving adventure. A long-tail boat picked us up, providing an exclusive experience that felt even more special than adding a fried egg to a simple meal. It was premium-level good.
A short boat ride of no more than 5 minutes brought us to our destination for fish and coral viewing. Here, we were required to don snorkeling gear, including a mask and snorkel (which I must confess, I had never used before in my life). For those who wear glasses like me, I highly recommend wearing contact lenses or bringing a special mask that fits over your glasses. As for me, I bravely took off my glasses and went for it, but the result was that I could barely see anything! 555+
This is the boat we need to board to transform into amateur frogmen, the clumsiest kind of frogmen.

The equipment on the boat is shown in the picture.
The buoys in the water mark the boundaries of the safe swimming area. Please stay within this area, as jet skis frequently pass by and could cause accidents.
Back with Energy to Spare
"Jumping into the water, whoop! On that diving trip, it was all foreigners, speaking English with gusto. We got about an hour of diving to see the fish. Alright! Let's go all out!"
Despite the language barrier, the speaker enjoyed their diving trip, immersing themselves in the experience and making the most of their time underwater. They return feeling energized and ready for more.
After an invigorating dive, I took a leisurely stroll along the fine, white sand of Haad Ta-Hwan beach. The golden hour cast a warm glow, creating a picturesque scene that was perfect for capturing stunning photographs.
The flamingo must be very tired, its neck is so weak that it has folded over. Haha!
Smiling in the face of the sun!
Macro also has trucks.
Jet ski is ready! Hehe
Walking a lot, my stomach is starting to growl.
After a tiring walk, we realized, as always, that an army marches on its stomach. So, we decided to visit Cheliang Lom, a favorite restaurant of the author. We hopped on our motorbike and headed to the pier near our house. Let me share with you the atmosphere and tell you what makes this place so special.
Relax and feel at home.

Eat well, travel often.
The restaurant boasts a beachfront zone, offering stunning sea views.
Step back to see the atmosphere again.
Coming in a large group, this spot offers a high degree of privacy.
Let me double-check to be sure. Hehe.
My Favorite Dish
The food prices range from tens to hundreds of baht. Even if you eat to your heart's content, it won't exceed a thousand baht (for two people). If you're feeling a bit indulgent, there are grilled prawns of a decent size, shrimp fried rice, oysters with mixed spices, and crab meat stir-fried with curry powder. Just talking about it makes me hungry! Oh, and there are also shrimp cakes. We savored all of this together, just the two of us. Hehe.
The seafood dipping sauce is excellent.
Another perspective, please.

The Black Sea Still Has Light…
This relaxing trip focused on rest, food, and swimming. It's time to say goodbye to Koh Larn for now. Until next time, when the sea calls again.
