After working hard all year, it's time to take a break and find a place to slow down and enjoy the cool, crisp air.
The north is better than ours.
First, let's pay our respects and ask for blessings.
Wat Phra That Doi Suthep Ratchawarawihan is a second-class royal temple of the Ratchawarawihan type, situated atop Doi Suthep. It is one of the most significant temples in Chiang Mai, constructed in the Lanna architectural style. The temple features a Chiang Saen-style chedi with a high base, a bell-shaped octagonal spire, and two layers of gold-plated copper sheeting. The chedi's platform offers panoramic views of Chiang Mai city. Additionally, it serves as the designated temple for those born in the year of the Goat (Mamee).
Wat Phra Singh Woramahawihan: A Sacred Temple in Chiang Mai
Wat Phra Singh Woramahawihan, a first-class royal temple, is situated within the ancient city walls of Chiang Mai. This significant temple houses the revered Phra Singh Buddha (Phra Buddha Sihing), a sacred image deeply revered in Chiang Mai and the Lanna region. The Buddha statue, crafted in the Chiang Saen style, is known as "Chiang Saen Singh One" and is associated with the Year of the Horse in the Chinese zodiac.
Spend a night in Chiang Mai before continuing your journey to Pai district. In the evening, Chiang Mai also has the Tha Pae Walking Street for you to explore.
Pai District, a popular tourist destination, has become a major attraction for international visitors while still retaining its original cultural charm.
And don't miss the viewpoint and sacred place of Pai, Wat Phra That Mae Yen. This spot offers stunning sunset views that are second to none.
In the evening, there is also a walking street in Pai town.
As there are sunset viewing spots, there must also be sunrise viewing spots. This is the Yunlai Viewpoint.
After watching the sunrise, I went for a walk in the Santichon Village, which felt like I was visiting China.

After that, we passed through 1864 winding curves, arriving at...
"Mae Hong Son, the City of Three Mists"
Staying here for a night, there is a cafe with a good atmosphere as the name suggests, "Before Sunset Coffee".
Near the coffee shop is a temple that is a landmark of Mae Hong Son, **"Wat Phra That Doi Kong Mu"**.
Descend into the city to witness the slow-paced lifestyle of the people of Mae Hong Son with the "Wat Phra That Doi Kong Mu".
The next morning, we visited the "Su Tong Pae" wooden bridge, a symbol of faith. Su Tong Pae is a Tai Yai language word that means "wishes granted" or "success." It is believed that if you stand in the middle of the bridge and make a wish, it will come true. The bridge is the longest bamboo bridge in Thailand.
Before leaving Mae Hong Son, we stopped to camp at the popular "Pang Ung".
End your day with a relaxing sunset at "Huai Nam Dang National Park".
The semester is over, are you ready for a trip? Winter is coming, let's take a break and enjoy a slow-paced life.
