PHO-TUBBERK & KHAO-KHO

Who hasn't been to Tubberk? We've been to Khao Kho! #MissingKhaoKhoTrip

Tired of the rain in the capital, let's escape to the refreshing ozone, let the cool air comfort our hearts, and enjoy a sweet beer.

Having missed the opportunity to climb "Phu Thap Boek" on 14-15 October 2017, this year (13-14-15 October 2018) we finally made our dream come true (despite another long weekend).

*This trip has one additional participant.

This trip has changed from "walking and hitchhiking" to driving a private car. There is still no plan, but we will go for 3 days and 2 nights!

It's a trip with no fixed budget, but we'll try to keep it under 3,000 baht.

A trip to tell a friend, "I miss him," and the friend replies, "I'll take you to hug him." #If you can't hug him, let him hug you.

4:45 AM: Departing Bangkok via Pathum Thani towards Ang Thong (Nakhon Thai - Phu Thap Boek)

We set off from Bangkok at 4:45 AM, taking the Pathum Thani route towards Ang Thong (Nakhon Thai - Phu Thap Boek). As we drove, we enjoyed the relaxing tunes and stopped for refreshments whenever hunger struck. Since we were traveling by private vehicle, we decided to make a quick stop to pay our respects at a temple.

Wat Phra Si Rattana Mahathat Woramahawihan (Wat Yai)

Our chosen temple was Wat Phra Si Rattana Mahathat Woramahawihan, also known as Wat Yai.

9:50 AM: Visited Wat Phra Si Rattana Mahathat Woramahawihan (Wat Yai), the temple housing the revered Phra Buddha Chinnarat statue. Due to an ongoing event at the temple, access to the inner sanctum for worship was restricted.

Drive slowly and carefully, as there may be curves and sections that require frequent attention. Before entering Phetchabun, we stopped at a gas station to eat and rest.

Phu Hin Rong Kla National Park

12:42 PM. Entered Phu Hin Rong Kla National Park, paying an entrance fee of 150 baht (3 people, 1 car). We entered through Phu Hin Rong Kla National Park because the road from Lom Sak was damaged in some places due to rain.

The winding road up to the park was in good condition. The sides of the road were lined with forest, and there were several places to stop and take pictures. There were also several places to stop and see the rocks, but we didn't stop. We were going to stop on the way back, but we ended up going back a different way. (Oh! Everyone, please refrain from alcohol and intoxicants when going up to the park.)

Stop by for a bit as a ceremony.

Go up for a while and try opening the window. Oh my god! The air is so refreshing, it's so refreshing.

(It's even cooler than in the car.)

1:17 PM. We have started our ascent to "Phu Thap Boek". The road before this was good, with rest stops at intervals. Rain was threatening, and we were secretly hoping for some fog, but no, it didn't rain.

Next Station III

Phu Thap Boek

14:45 p.m. Finally arrived at Phu Thap Boek! I drove all the way up until someone flagged me to turn around, but I still couldn't find a parking spot. I circled around and found a parking spot, a good one too, but… there was no space to pitch a tent. I walked around looking, but there really wasn't enough space. The area around the clock tower was too crowded, and the resorts were full. I kept walking and finally found a spot with a decent view. Let's hurry and get our luggage!

Leave some space next to it to set up the barbecue grill.

After setting up the tent and getting settled, we slept soundly until almost five o'clock. My sister told me that it was already cold outside, which it had been for a while, as I had pulled out a blanket to cover myself at some point.

Sigh, we were hungry as soon as we woke up, so we decided to go for a walk to find something to eat. There were a lot of food stalls, but we had actually agreed to have a barbecue. Anyway, since we were already there, we decided to walk around for a bit.

Here, everyone, is the item that sells the most.

Before returning to the tent, we teased the auntie at the barbecue restaurant, "Auntie, is the barbecue almost finished?" The auntie replied, "Oh my, it's almost gone!" (The auntie had been saying it was almost gone since we arrived to set up the tent.) We ordered a large set for 500 baht and a bag of ice for 20 baht, gave the delivery address, and waited at the tent. The service was truly impressive.

While waiting for my friend to finish showering (the hotpot arrived with a hot stove shortly after).

Don't underestimate its size! This little pig might look small, but it's enough to feed three people.

Take a sip of beer, add some flavor, the next door neighbor also plays music --

After eating for 2-3 hours, the temperature dropped to 15 degrees. Let's go to sleep. (At night, 12-13 degrees, blankets, socks, and tents can't really hold it.) #When the weather is cold, it's like this, hugging yourself doesn't keep you warm.

Wake me up, please. I want to see the "First Light". Last time I saw it, it wasn't clear. The next day, I woke up too late. Beautiful sister, please check the sunrise time and set the alarm for 5:45 AM. Okay, I got it, sister.

14l10l2018

The alarm has gone off, along with the first light of the day.

6:07 AM. The first light has begun to rise.

Clarity gradually increases.

Cool air alternating with the warmth of the morning sun

Let's go fight the cold water together. (Take a shower, wash your hair, wash your face, brush your teeth --)

The line to the bathroom is long, let's go find something to eat first.

The same old corner when the sky is bright

Good morning! It's not crowded today. Some people have already descended from the mountain.

Easy to eat, easy to live, even a fried egg shop is fine. 7:25 AM, order food, wait a while, here it comes! Our fried eggs and stir-fried basil rice look good, and the taste is not bad.

Let's head back to our accommodation after we're done eating.

The line for the bathroom is still long, so let's pack up our tent and get ready to descend the mountain.

Capture memories of your visit here...

The film camera photos are also very soft.

While waiting for my friend to come out of the bathroom, I decided to take a picture of the little Hmong boy.

Oh oh! I'm sorry, I won't take a picture if you don't want me to.

Before leaving, we sat and chatted with the auntie at the hotpot restaurant, feeling a mix of excitement and anticipation. It was impossible not to feel the buzz, with vans, pickup trucks, and motorbikes all vying for space. We all pitched in to help push the vehicles.

During the anticipation, I asked my aunt if there was usually no fog during this time. My aunt quickly replied, "No, it's rare." Before she could finish her sentence, the fog rolled in. Everyone scrambled to grab their cameras and phones.

Hello! 3 doctors

9:12 AM. Let's get off Phutthapheephok Mountain. We asked a friend for the nearest route to Khao Kho. They mentioned a road that was damaged. "Is it really bad?" we asked. "Is it dangerous? Can we go?" etc. My aunt's daughter or niece (I'm not sure) said, "Yes, you can go. It's only damaged for about 3-4 sections of the road." Okay, that's manageable. Let's go then!

While driving down the hill, hey! Stop and look at the cabbage for a moment.

Crazy, it has another ability. Planting between rocks, planting on the hill. Seriously, how do you harvest it?

But your head is really big, Mr. Cabbage.

Oh oh! Sneak a shot of the single girl on the trip

Khao Kho Post Office

11:32 AM. Let's go up Khao Kho. We went back and forth, entering through a waterfall of some sort. When we arrived, we were surprised to find that there weren't many people, but the cars going down were stuck in traffic. We stopped to take pictures, thinking that we would have fog to enjoy all day like last year, but no. There was neither fog nor people.

Hello Khao Kho Post Office, a place that used to be crowded.

Normally, this place should be full of fog, right? Let's go, I can't wait any longer. He said he wants to drink something, there's a shop nearby.

Reviews say this shop is good...

Sure, good person --

Someone said that the food here is delicious, but I haven't had the chance to try it yet...

Next Station V

Wind turbine, Khao Kho

Let's see if it has changed much

1:23 PM. Arrived. The sun is scorching hot, unbearably hot. It's so hot that I want to go back to my accommodation. What kind of heat is this? You said it would rain, where is it? Where is the "rain"?

I didn't walk on this side last time, but this time I stopped by the bathroom. Let's take a look.

There are a lot of clothes for sale.

There it is, the giant wind turbine.

Hey guys, turn around and try out the film camera.

(The seniors said, "You don't have to look, just have to wait and see, right? Haha, that's right!")

It's too hot. Just take a picture to show that we were here.

The "Khao Kho Windmill" has changed a lot.

13:57 Let's continue our journey back to the accommodation. It's hot and annoying...

Next Station VI

Phutakarin Resort

3:18 PM. Arrived at Phutrakarn Resort. It took a while to find the entrance, but the location, the room, and the atmosphere are great. I give it a pass! Pass! Pass!!!

A soft bed, perhaps.

Let's hurry up and take a shower after seeing the bathroom. (I didn't take a shower this morning, and I was the only one.) --

Refreshed after a shower, I lay down to watch a movie and slept soundly. I woke up around 5:30 AM and decided to check out the balcony behind my room. It was spacious, with neither a cold nor hot temperature.

The balcony behind the room, the wheat field exploded into Cocoa Crunch.

“The last light is fading beyond the horizon.”

7:23 PM. Let's sit and have a beer together, like crazy people. We talked about this and that, reminiscing about our friends from school. We wondered how everyone was doing since we graduated. Blah blah blah.

After driving for a while, I felt hungry. I asked my beautiful sister to drive me to 7-Eleven. Let's go buy some more beer.

There's nothing left to eat at 7-11, but my friend is a little drunk and wants me to buy fresh food for grilling. 5555555 If it wasn't so late, I'd be down. (The guesthouse has a stove we can borrow too.) 7-11 is awesome, they even have fresh food.

The restaurant next door is fine too, I guess. We'll just order whatever they have left. When I asked, they said they only had "jungle food". Oh my god. --

The menu is small, but the damage is done.

15l10l2018

Good morning! My friends woke up to take photos, but I'm too lazy to get up. Oh! The resort also provides breakfast. There's rice porridge, coffee, Milo (a chocolate malt drink), and a long loaf of bread. You can eat as much as you want, along with jam and condensed milk.

She doesn't like to eat bread. You can eat it yourself.

Farewell, wheat fields!

Goodbye, "Phu Rakarang". I hope to see you again.

Next Station VII

Wat Pha Sorn Kaew

1:16 PM. Arrived at the temple. It's not far from the accommodation. At first, I went to the back of the temple, but it wasn't suitable, so I came back to park in front of the temple. There are a lot of people again.

There are so many people...

I'm hungry, let's go find something to eat. My friend told me that when I arrive in Phetchabun, I should try the local food. I already looked up some options last night when I was feeling a bit tipsy.

Many people – I want something simple and close to a lot of people, this shop is the one.

"Grandma Noi's Kanom Jeen, Wat Pha Sorn Kaew"

Pretty face, but if I say it's not delicious, will you be mad at me?

I'm so sorry, it's not there yet.

1:48 PM. Leaving the rice noodle shop. My brother said he wanted to go to a coffee shop, so we went. Oh my god! We almost didn't make it. The way up was so steep. Three people's hearts must have sunk to their ankles. Judging from the situation, lol.

Next Station VIII

Thank you to the beautiful model, the only one on the trip

The restaurant is located on a steep incline, offering stunning views. However, it tends to be crowded and chaotic.

After lunch, we headed back to Bangkok. Before leaving, we stopped by to buy some souvenirs. We left the souvenir shop at 4:27 PM and arrived in Bangkok around 9 PM.
