This time, we're serious about taking a break from work. The trend of secondary cities is on the rise, so we decided to take a trip. Haha! This time, we went to the richest province, Trang! Haha! We planned a trip that was as relaxed and easy as possible. We did whatever we wanted to do, and if we didn't want to go anywhere, we didn't have to. It was completely up to us.

Day 1

We embarked on our journey on Tuesday, November 6th. Initially, we were apprehensive about the possibility of lingering rain, but our eagerness outweighed our concerns. We booked round-trip tickets for 1,172.5 baht per person, inclusive of all taxes. The tickets did not include meals, checked baggage, or any additional amenities.

Don Mueang 12:35 p.m.

Our flight departs at 13:15.

We have arrived at approximately 3:00 PM. The flight was delayed due to technical issues.

Upon arrival, the first thing to consider is transportation to your hotel. If your hotel offers airport pickup, that's ideal. However, if not, you'll need to find your own way into the city. One option is to take a shared van, which will take you directly to your hotel. However, be prepared for a hefty fare. In our case, the van from the airport to our hotel cost 90 baht per person, which was quite expensive. To avoid sticker shock, consider calling a taxi instead. The taxi number in Trang is 080-5078888 or 075-582822. There's a 20 baht call fee, but the meter will be running, making it likely a more affordable option than the van.

This trip, we stayed at The Tree Sleep Space, a hostel with a co-working space, meeting room, and cafe where you can relax. There's also free Wi-Fi. The accommodation is easy to find, located right next to the Trang Post Office on the side of the road.

The Bustling Night Market of Talad Sinta

Talad Sinta, a trendy night market frequented by locals, offers a diverse selection of trinkets, food, and clothing. However, the true gem we discovered was the exceptional Kim Yong Khao Tom restaurant, which easily claims the title of our favorite eatery.

You can choose any dish for 10 baht per cup. Small plates and large plates with rice dishes will cost 30, 40, and 50 baht respectively. Rice is 5 baht per cup. Once you have chosen your dishes, you can pay and take a seat. It's a great deal and the food is delicious. My favorite is the Chinese sausage and pickled vegetable salad, which goes perfectly with the rice porridge. I love it!

After finishing my meal, I stumbled upon a foot spa with tiny fish that nibbled at my feet, like little bites on my calloused skin. It was a ticklish sensation that had me laughing uncontrollably.

Price: 30 minutes for 50 baht, 1 hour for 100 baht. It's worth checking out, it's fun.

Day 2

The diving cost is 750 baht per person. If you want a car to pick you up from your hotel, it will cost an additional 100 baht per person for a round trip. Breakfast and lunch are included, for a total of 850 baht per person.

The journey from the city to the pier takes approximately 1.30 hours. Before you go, make sure to bring a waterproof bag, as you will need it at the Emerald Cave. If you already have one, bring it along to avoid the rental fee. Rental fees for small bags are 60, 80, and 100 baht, respectively.

The boat was a two-story vessel with a capacity of 120 passengers and equipped with life jackets. On that day, there were not many people, only about 30 of us, so it was enjoyable.

Haha, maybe on the boat.

Cheerful and energetic

The first island, Koh Kradan, is a long, narrow island. We saw fish but not much coral. The water was a bit cloudy due to yesterday's rain.

This section is Kradan National Park. There is a popular spot for taking photos, which is a wooden log that has been placed there for people to pose on. When I went, there were a lot of Chinese tourists there. Haha.

Therefore, only this seedling is available.

After that, we had lunch on the boat for about an hour. It was delicious and spicy! Next, we went to the Emerald Cave. Make sure to bring your phone or camera in a waterproof bag, as the boat cannot enter the cave. We had to hold onto each other's shoulders to reach the inside.

The sentence is already in English and does not require translation.

The entrance is here! Get ready!

Upon entering, the initial brightness gradually fades into darkness as we await our turn to explore the cave. After a brief swim of approximately 10 minutes, we reach the inner chamber.

The end of the tunnel is near. The light is at the end of the tunnel.

We have arrived! The rice fields are stunning, just like in the movies. There are forests, mountains, oceans, and beaches - everything you could ask for. Every corner is picture-perfect. The photos don't do it justice; you have to see it for yourself.

The last island, Rope Island, is said to have the most coral because it is a long stretch. In fact, you can see it from the boat, haha.

The rocky formations in the background are coral reefs, while the fish are swimming in front. The water is becoming clearer.

Approximately 4:00 PM, we returned to the pier. We rested and took a nap to regain our energy before continuing our adventure. ...

For dinner, we entrusted our stomachs to the Ocean Cafe, located a short distance from our accommodation. A songthaew ride cost around 40-50 baht.

Extremely satisfied! The food was incredibly delicious, especially the crab. I loved it!

DAY 3

On our last day, we explored the city, starting with a dim sum breakfast and some Trang-style grilled pork at the Pong Ocha restaurant. The menu was extensive, and we could choose our dishes directly from the display.

We then stopped for some cool photos at the nearby yellow Christian church, not far from the Pong Ocha restaurant.

Followed by a 3D wall

We stopped by a Chinese temple, the Tha Ma Kong Yeh Shrine, to make merit. It was a bit confusing at first because they gave us a lot of incense sticks and we weren't sure where to put them. We ended up asking the people around us for help, haha.

Good luck, good luck, Nezha!

We stopped by the vast Somdet Phra Srinagarindra 95 Public Park to feed the fish. The park features a picturesque bridge reminiscent of those seen in the movie "Brother of the Year," offering a delightful stroll. Before heading home, we savored a delicious Hokkien mee.

This concludes the trip. See you on the next adventure!

Summary: I enjoyed my trip to Trang. It's a small city, but there's plenty to do. While it may not be the most exciting destination, it's a great place to relax and unwind. The cost of living is reasonable, and it's not overly expensive.
