Hello, this time we will take you on a trip to Japan, a country with stunning natural beauty and rich culture, and an irresistible charm. It is the most popular destination for Thai tourists.
When is the best time to visit Japan? The autumn foliage is beautiful, 🍁🍂 or maybe the cherry blossoms are in bloom. 🌺
Since I'm going, I might as well see both of them.
In Japan, you can enjoy both autumn leaves and cherry blossoms at the same time in Obara.
Obara is a town located in the Toyota district of Aichi Prefecture, in the Chubu region of central Japan. It is situated near the city of Nagoya.
Cherry blossoms typically bloom in late March and April, but Obara is home to a special variety called Shikizakura, or four-season cherry blossoms. This unique variety blooms twice a year, once in the spring and again during the fall foliage season, from late October to early December.

We opted to visit the highlight of Oobara first, Senmi Shikizakura no sato. This spot boasts a mountainside adorned with both cherry blossoms 🌺 and vibrant autumn leaves 🍁 (a short walk from the final bus stop). Ready to go? Let's do this!
The first glimpse of the mountain took my breath away. It was covered in a breathtaking tapestry of cherry blossoms and colorful autumn leaves.
Although the cherry blossoms had begun to fall considerably, the scene was still breathtakingly beautiful.
The weather is perfect, cool and comfortable. It's a great day to walk around and take photos.
After a short walk, you will find a staircase leading up to Yakushiji Temple. The stairs are steep and high, and I was out of breath by the time I reached the top. 😅
At this point, you will see the leaves changing color all over, although they may not be 100% red yet.
Personally, I love this season. The leaves are changing color beautifully, with shades of green, yellow, orange, and red. It's a stunning layered effect.
The cherry blossoms were starting to fall when I visited, but they were still very beautiful.
Imagine how intense it would be during peak hours.
Next, we opted for Fureai Park, a short walk from the Obara Okusa bus stop. During the full bloom season, typically around November, the park hosts the Obara Shikizakura Matsuri, a festival celebrating the vibrant Shikizakura blossoms. Visitors can indulge in delicious food and browse through numerous souvenir shops.
The event will also feature entertaining performances.
Many Japanese people brought their dogs for a walk, forming a large group.
This is my first time photographing the vibrant red leaves. The colors are truly stunning.
Time changes, seasons pass, and things naturally change with time.
It is recommended to return on the 4:20 PM round (as it will be dark after that time).
This sentence translates to:
"Upon arriving in Nagoya around 18:30, there will be time for further shopping."
Another recommended place to visit with Obara, you will definitely be impressed.
