In this episode, Maenam will take you on a tour of the ancient city of Fenghuang and other interesting tourist attractions in Changsha. We will be flying with Thai AirAsia on the Bangkok-Changsha direct route, which operates once a day. The outbound flight departs Bangkok at 7:30 AM and arrives in Changsha at 12:10 PM. The return flight departs Changsha at 12:55 PM and arrives in Bangkok at 3:20 PM.
This is my second trip here because I didn't have enough time to visit the ancient city of Fenghuang the first time, so I booked another trip.
The trip took place from June 26th to 30th. The first night was spent in Changsha, the second night in Fenghuang Ancient Town, and then two more nights in Changsha to explore the city's other attractions.
As for interesting tourist attractions along this route, there are Zhangjiajie Avatar Hallelujah Mountain, Tianmen Mountain Heaven's Gate, and many other places. You can check out the reviews I've done before here: http://goo.gl/cMJhHN
And I invite my friends to join me on this trip.
Review of the previous episode[SR]...Zhang Jie Jie, where everyone can fly and easily get to the gates of heaven, explore the land of Avatar, and raid the Mangu cave with Maen Pra-nom. http://goo.gl/cMJhHN
And I would like to say that this review is a SR review because Maenam used the reward ticket from AirAsia to fly this trip.

Mom Pra-Nom, a must-visit tourist attraction in Changsha.
Those who are taking early morning flights should allow extra time as there are a lot of people. All flights will be departing during this time.
This flight is at 7.30 am.
Let's get on board.
I'm sure you're hungry this morning, so don't forget to order your food in advance to save some money.
Here's my favorite menu, go for it.
I have arrived in Changsha on time. After exiting immigration, turn right and look for the Airport Bus ticket counter, which is located near Gate 5.
Those who are going directly to Zhangjiajie, Wulingyuan, or Fenghuang Ancient Town can buy bus tickets to ChangSha West Bus Station; =Xi Zhan Qiche Xi Zhan ราคาค่ารถ 28.50 หยวน which if you go at this time will arrive at the destination city around 6 pm. See the old review for reference.
For this trip, we want to relax a bit, so we decided to sleep for one night before continuing our journey to the ancient city tomorrow morning. This way, we will arrive at the ancient city in the afternoon and have plenty of time to walk around. So we bought tickets to get off at the Civil Aviation Hotel, which is close to the train station and the North Bus Station, from where we can travel to the ancient city of Fenghuang for 15.5 yuan. We also booked a hotel near there.
The parking lot and the hotel we stayed at were just a short walk away.
It takes about 40 minutes from the airport to get here. In fact, this hotel is worth staying at. It's not expensive. On my last trip, I stayed here for 1 night before returning home.
But this time I want to try changing the bed.
The hotel is just a short walk from the train station. Our hotel is called Changsha Mellow Orange Hotel [Spoil] Click to view hidden messagehttp://bit.ly/1MVpcP9
We found this hotel on expedia.co.th http://bit.ly/1MVpcP9 for 1,165 baht and it includes breakfast.
I've checked the price on other websites like Agoda, and it's the same. But the good thing about this one is that we don't have to pay now. We can pay at the hotel, or sometimes we can cancel for free. It's convenient because we don't have to wait for a refund later.
After booking, follow these steps. Pay upon check-in. However, it states here that breakfast is not included, but the hotel will provide breakfast for all guests.
Please take this and present it at check-in.
From the front of the hotel, we can see the pointed tip of the train station. If you want to book tickets to travel anywhere, just go there.
The subway station is right in front of the hotel, making it very convenient.
However, the subway here has only one line in operation, which is the one in front of our hotel.
It will be the blue line on the map, which we can use to travel to the walking street and Koh Som just fine.
This is their subway plan. When it's finished, you'll be able to take it directly to the airport.
After checking in, they gave me 2 breakfast coupons per day. These must be used before 9 am because they clear away very quickly.
Our room is on the 13th floor.
Post on the page to tell your friends because I feel it's great.
Let's go check in the room.
Let's take a quick look at the cleanliness of the bathroom. It's in good condition.
The bed is a bit hard, but for this price, it's acceptable.
The TV is a bit small, but the room is spacious and clean. It's a good deal.
Overall, it's a pass.
From the window of the room, on the right hand side is the train station. If you walk across the street and go straight ahead, you will reach the bus station, from where you can travel to the ancient city of Fenghuang, or to Wulingyuan or Zhangjiajie.
After a short rest, we went out for dinner. We walked out of the hotel, turned right, and walked a little bit before we found this restaurant.
I saw a fair number of people eating.
This dish costs 10 yuan each, please take it yourself and pay at the counter.
The spicy minced pork salad with salted egg yolk is truly delicious.
And then order food from the menu on the iPad.
The price is only 39 yuan for the whole fish.
This is a 10 yuan xiaolongbao.
Today's meal is 110 yuan as shown.
After eating, I went for a walk and did some shopping near the train station. There are many shopping malls here. Then I went to bed to rest. Tomorrow I will prepare to travel to the ancient city of Fenghuang. The bus leaves at 10 am.
Wake up early to eat the free breakfast at the hotel before leaving.
The breakfast was very simple and Chinese-style. It was edible, but nothing special, especially considering it was free.
After breakfast, we will be ready to go to the ancient city of Fenghuang. Here are the details.
We boarded the long-distance bus near our hotel.
Check the map, it's not far.
The face of the ticket seller.
I understand that there will be buses leaving every hour until 2pm. We bought tickets for the 10am trip, which cost 158 yuan each.
The front of the car looks like this.
Inside
Please sit according to the seat number on your ticket.
It was a fairly comfortable ride, about 6 hours with one stop along the way. The bus even had a bathroom on board.
And then we arrived at the bus station of the ancient city of Fenghuang.
We then booked our return tickets for tomorrow, choosing the 12:30 PM train for 140 yuan.
For friends who want to visit Wulingyuan, you can go from here. It takes about 5 hours by car.
For the hotel we stayed at tonight, we stayed here for 1727 baht per night. We booked it through Booking.com and paid directly at the hotel.
The hotel map shows that you need to take a taxi from the bus stop for a short distance.
Then I had to take a taxi here for 20 yuan. The taxis here wouldn't turn on the meter, so I had to pay a flat rate.
Walk down and cross the bridge to the other side.
Our hotel is over there, on the right corner. We left our big luggage at the hotel in Changsha and brought the small one for convenience, because we will be staying there again tomorrow.
This building is on the 2nd floor.
And now we are in the ancient city of Fenghuang.
Let's go see the room first.
Restroom please.
The bed here is thick and soft.
The room is quite small, but not cramped.
View from our room balcony.
The first meal at Feng Huang, I read in the reviews that people said the restaurant under our hotel was very delicious, so I tried it out.
To be honest, the food was very spicy. It only had a spicy flavor.
But sitting and eating while watching the view is very enjoyable and the price is not expensive, but if there are many pubs and bars inside, it will be very expensive.
Our hotel's front is a very popular spot for selfies.
There is also a boat service, how much is it per person? I won't be able to do it anymore. It's a pity that we don't have enough time to sit and enjoy the walk.
After we're full, let's go for a walk and enjoy the beauty of the city.
Our hotel is located at the end of the city, so let's walk deeper and deeper.
Walking into the city, the streets that are not along the river will have many restaurants, pubs, and nightclubs.
This is the heart of the city, the symbol of this city is the phoenix.
Walking into the riverside, there are a lot of tourists.
When you walk in here, there will be an officer who will ask to see your ticket. But if you walk out from the inside, they will probably think that you have already bought a ticket, but they will still ask to see your ticket.
We sent English to agree. They were afraid to talk to us, so they waved us through. 55555
There is also a photo shoot rental service for only 10 yuan.
Let's see the lights at night.
Please bear with me for a moment, it's just that it's so beautiful, I've pressed many pictures.
Walking around was so much fun, with all the lights, colors, and music from the various pubs along the river.
However, the price of the chill is quite expensive. A small bottle of beer costs 45 yuan. I bought two bottles and spent 90 yuan. I was so sad.
A bit too expensive. I tried other restaurants that weren't by the river, and they were just as expensive.
The restaurant is far away and still expensive, there are no customers because it's probably too expensive.
Then I'd rather walk back to the hotel and buy it to sit and drink on the balcony. The view is just as good.
You can sit and drink here, it's cheap.
You can sleep and drink too. Hehe.
Peek at my mother, Pra-nom, for a moment. Don't be naked, or the villagers will see.
The morning atmosphere here makes me want to stay for a few more nights.
Drinking coffee here is very refreshing.
I was planning to take a boat trip this morning, but looking at the time, I won't make it. I think I'll just take a walk and take some pictures of the city instead.
This is where they wash vegetables and food by the river.
The restaurant we ate at yesterday. Hehe.
If I had seen it before, I wouldn't have eaten it. I'm scared too.
I'm taking a leisurely morning stroll, admiring the beauty of the city.
..
It was time to go back, so I asked the hotel to call a taxi for me. I was afraid that if I waited for a taxi myself, it would take too long.
The taxi fare was 20 yuan.
And then we arrived at the bus stop.
For those who haven't bought tickets yet, you can buy them here, but as I mentioned earlier, it's better to book them as soon as you arrive.
It takes about 5 hours to fall asleep.
I arrived in Changsha feeling very hungry, so I came across this restaurant that sells Cantonese food (tastes like Hong Kong).
The shop is right across from the hotel. If you look across, you'll see the hotel we're staying at.
Roasted goose and char siu rice, delicious Hong Kong style, slightly less than Hong Kong but much cheaper.
Steamed chicken, just like Hong Kong.
After checking in and taking a short nap, I went out to explore the city of Changsha.
For tourist attractions in the city, we rely on information from the Changsha Travel Guide website as a guide for our trip.

Let's go to the walking street. Follow this way by getting off the subway in front of our hotel.
Huangxing Road Walking Street (黄兴路步行街) is located near Wuwei Square Station (五一广场站), Exit 3A.
The new station has a train system that is very similar to the one in Hong Kong.
The original text is empty. There is nothing to translate.
The station announcements are in English, just like in Hong Kong.
Please exit through Gate 3A.
Once you're out, there are plenty of delicious things to eat.
The seller was very happy to know that we are Thai. He even gave us an extra one.
The first place I went to after waking up was Som Island to see the statue of Chairman Mao.
Take the subway from the front of the hotel to Juzizhou Station and you will arrive.
Let's buy bus tickets because walking 5 kilometers is not an option.
The bus fare is 20 yuan per person. The bus will stop at several points where you can get on and off.
Island map.
We took a bus and got off right at the statue of Chairman Mao.
The island has a lot of orange trees, so I guess that's where the name "Orange Island" comes from.
After leaving Orange Island, we took the subway to Wuwi Square Station and exited from Exit 3A. We walked another 850 meters to the same stinky tofu place as last night.
The name of the shop is Huogongdian "Huogongdian" (火宫殿), or the Fire Temple.
This is an old-fashioned restaurant and was Chairman Mao's favorite.
This shop's stinky tofu is said to be very delicious and not smelly at all.
We're here! We're pretty tired from walking.
Let's go eat together. I didn't get many pictures because they didn't allow us to take any.
I confirm that it is delicious, affordable, and not expensive.
The next destination from the tourist attractions recommended by changsha.sadoodta.com
We are going to visit the Mawangdui Han Tombs.
This is information from the website.

Here are the coordinates. I recommend showing this map to a taxi driver, as the cemetery is located within a hospital.
Or you can show this picture to a taxi driver because we got lost for a long time before we found it.
You have to walk into the hospital area.
If you walk to the left, you will find this sign.
Walk 50 meters up the hill.
Opening and closing times
Buy tickets first, 2 yuan each.
Our next stop is West Lake Restaurant, also known as Xihulou (西湖楼), which is said to be the largest restaurant in the world.
Before coming here, we searched for restaurants on TripAdvisor and came across this video clip, which made us want to come and try it for ourselves.
Call a taxi according to the map. The subway is not yet available, but it will be in the future.
It's huge, just as the rumors say.
Let's go inside and take a look.
It's huge in here. There will be a show too.
Most of the tables are large, and since there were only two of us, we couldn't sit there. They directed us to another building with smaller tables.
This is another side that is arranged as a small table for guests who come less than 10 people.
The food menu on the wall doesn't seem expensive.
Inside, please.
Menu, please tick the box.
Or choose from the menu.
Here you go, looks delicious, doesn't it?
Peking duck is delicious.
Duck meat can be stir-fried in one way.
That's almost 2000 baht.
It was a great experience to dine at the world's largest restaurant, which was full of delicious food.
After we had our fill, we went to ride the Changsha Ferris Wheel.
The information is from the website changsha.sadoodta.com as usual.
Thank you for the information from changsha.sadoodta.com.
The location is not too far from the hotel.
I'm here.
Go into this building and take the elevator to the top floor.
The entrance fee is only 50 yuan, which is not expensive, but why are there no tourists?
Enjoy the city view.
The view is a bit blurry because the mirror is very cloudy and I can't see very clearly.
After breakfast the next morning, it was time to head back. We walked to the airport bus stop and boarded the bus back to the airport.
The return trip also costs 15.5 yuan, the same as the outbound trip.
Checked in! I'm near D.
Departure time 12.55 p.m.
I'm home now.
And I guess that's all for now. For those who haven't seen the first episode, you can watch it here: http://goo.gl/cMJhHN
This will complete the list of tourist attractions in Changsha.
Last episode [SR]... Zhang Jie Jie, who can fly and come easily, stormed the gates of heaven, crossed the land of avatars, and raided the Mangku cave with her mother.
Finally, I would like to thank Pantip, a great platform that allows us to collect and study information for easy self-travel and share it with our friends.
Thank you to all my friends who have been following me all along and I hope you have a wonderful time exploring Changsha.
From Maenam, you know.
