Today I'm reviewing a hotel near Pattaya, the VERANDA RESORT PATTAYA. Veranda has 3 hotels in its chain: Mae Rim (Chiang Mai), Hua Hin (Prachuap Khiri Khan), and Pattaya (Chonburi).

The Pattaya branch just opened at the end of December 2015, so it's very new. While it was new, I waited for a promotion price and had the opportunity to use their services. I chose to stay at the end of February 2016, thinking that the service or facilities might not be perfect in the beginning, so I waited about 2 months. I booked the lowest room, the Seascape Room.

The hotel is located in Soi Na Jomtien 4. If you're coming from Bangkok on Sukhumvit Road, after the 4 Regions Floating Market, get ready to turn right into Soi Na Jomtien 4. It can be a bit difficult to turn when the traffic is moving fast. Here's a second option: go ahead and make a U-turn at the red light intersection ahead, then turn left into the soi.

I've attached the GPS coordinates for those who use Google Maps: 12.859431, 100.896857

This picture was taken on the day I left, so the arrow is a bit reversed.

From the entrance, run straight ahead. At the T-junction, turn slightly left and you will see the hotel sign in front of you.

The hotel is located next to a high-rise building under construction. I asked and found out that it is owned by the same owner as the hotel, but it is a residential condominium. I didn't dare to ask about the price. There are 2 parking areas:

1. Ground floor parking: From the entrance, turn left and you will see a parking lot. You can park your car there. There is a sign on the parking lot that says it is for the restaurant, but I think it is owned by the same owner.

2. Parking garage: Drive straight to the front of the hotel, unload your luggage, and then drive around to the parking garage on the right. It is a 6-story parking garage.

From the point where we unloaded our luggage, we went down the stairs to check in.

For those who love spa, we have services here. It is located on the 2nd floor, the entrance is next to the stairs we just went down.

The open-air check-in area features stylish seating.

The hotel was fully booked on Saturday during the long weekend. Check-in was quite chaotic.

While waiting, enjoy a refreshing punch with the perfect flavor as you receive your fabric and welcome drink.

The resort has two buildings. The first building is beachfront and houses the Beachfront room type. We were assigned to the building next door, the same building where we checked in. We got our room number and went to explore our room. Room number 2706, on the 7th floor, out of a total of 8 floors.

The room uses a key card system. There is one air conditioner control panel attached to the wall and one full-length mirror.

King-size bed, 8 feet wide (seriously, 3-4 small people can sleep comfortably)

A blue octopus welcomes you

The other side of the room is a TV area and a bar counter.

A small relaxation corner by the balcony

Bathroom section separated from the room by a sliding door

The interior is mainly divided into 2 zones: wet zone and dry zone.

On the left side of the door is a wardrobe with towels, bathrobes, shoes, umbrellas, and a hairdryer. Laundry services are also available.

Next to the inside is the toilet area.

The last dry zone is the washbasin area. The washbasin itself seems a bit small, but it is quite deep, so it is not as messy as expected. The long counter can hold a lot of things, and it comes with amenities, a large mirror (perfect for our big faces), and a stylish lamp.

The Seascape room is separated by frosted glass, and there is no rain shower, which is a bit of a pity. As far as I know, other types of rooms have bathtubs, but I'm not sure if they have rain showers. The shower gel and shampoo are lemongrass scented, which I love!

Let's take a look outside. On the balcony behind the room, there are small chairs for sitting.

The sea view is tilted, the higher the floor, the clearer the sea view. The garden is still under construction and not yet completed. The surrounding area is full of condominiums, hotels and private houses, which are higher than the 8-story hotel, so it may not be very private (both for them and us).

Let's go see the swimming pool. It's on the same level as the sea. You can swim and enjoy the sea view.

It has a children's pool, an adult pool with a depth of 1.2 meters, and a jacuzzi (in the V-shaped area).

The area around the pond is arranged with chairs for relaxation.

From the sea, the 2nd and 3rd floor rooms are Beachfront, while the next floor houses two restaurants: "I Sea Sky" and "The Jetty" on the rooftop.

This place has a pool bar "Waves" for your service. Soak in the water, sip your drink, and watch the sunset.

Next to the pool bar, there are restrooms available. The restroom symbols are a bit confusing, with one line for men and two lines for women. (I checked, one line is the men's room, two lines is the women's room.)

The main restaurant here, called "The Deck", is open from 6 am to 11 pm. On the day of your stay, dinner will be an International BBQ Buffet.

Take a look at the atmosphere inside the restaurant. There are both indoor and outdoor seating.

Let's take a look at the dinner. As I mentioned, it's a barbecue, so there's a grilling station outside with a focus on seafood. They have everything from shrimp, clams, crab, and squid to meat and chicken for the barbecue.

Noodles of all kinds are also available outside.

Inside, there is a variety of hot food menus, including pork, chicken, and beef. The menu names are in English, but I am not good at foreign languages. I only took pictures.

Some types are arranged in words that look cute and adorable.

Salad is here

The dessert section includes Thai desserts, cakes, and fruits.

The rooftop restaurant has 2 rooms: "I Sea Sky" with both Indoor and Outdoor zones, open from 2 pm to midnight.

Another room is on the rooftop, you have to climb the stairs a little more. The restaurant name is "The Jetty".

Open from 8pm to midnight, just like I Sea Sky, with a better view.

There is a highlight at the photo point that extends outward

Here are some photos of the hotel at night. The stairs leading down to the check-in area were beautifully lit up at night.

Let's go up to the restaurant to see the view.

Entering the room with the bed already turned down and receiving a pair of sticky rice with coconut filling and palm sugar.

Waking up to the morning view behind the room, the sky is still overcast like the first day I arrived.

Let's take a look at the food. The same restaurant as dinner serves a buffet breakfast from 6:00 AM to 11:00 AM, which is quite a long time. It starts with a salad bar.

Bakery Zone Pancakes

Fruit juice and milk

The menu labels for hot food are still in English, so we'll skip them and just look at the pictures.

Outside is a noodle stall, soup, sticky rice with grilled pork

Before leaving, I took a few more photos of the view, but the sky was still overcast.
