Hello everyone, today Nui will take you all on a trip to Hong Kong.

Although this is not Nui's first time traveling abroad, it is her first time traveling alone. Usually, Nui follows her friends wherever they go. Whatever her friends say, she agrees. Wherever her friends go, she goes too. Whatever her friends eat, she eats too.

But this time, I traveled on my own, planned my own itinerary, made my own mistakes, and got lost on my own.

Language... no need to mention yes, no, ok, thank you. That's all I can do, but hey, some basic knowledge from middle school must be stuck in my head. And most importantly, not everyone there can speak English. Sign language is the best way to understand each other. When you're ready, don't wait, look for a day, find tickets, find accommodation, find information and find someone to take pictures for us. Finally, someone fell into the trap and agreed to go with us. Thank you to my kind sister who went on a trip and was our photographer.

Note 1: This review is SR.

Note 2: You can follow and talk to Nui here: My Life My Travel Our planning must start with how many days we will go, when we will go, where we will stay, and where we will visit.

Nui will start from how many days we go, but Nui will have limitations in that it is economical and does not need to change planes. Because Nui lives in Phuket, it adds time constraints. Therefore, it is 4 nights and 4 days because the first day we arrive in the evening and the return day we return at 9 pm.

This time, Nui used Expedia because it made it convenient for us to find accommodation and flight tickets at the same time. Most importantly, booking together gets you an additional discount.

After selecting the date, origin and destination, the page will look like this. Let's choose accommodation according to our budget and preferences. You can check the price at http://bit.ly/EXPPG2

When Nui booked, she booked separately because she chose a flight first, which had several direct flights.

But Nui chose AirAsia because it was the cheapest at the time. But I will say that when we came to book accommodation later,

We also get the right to book cheaper places. This depends on the technique of each person.

And if we sign up as members, we will have accumulated points and get many more privileges.

Check out the details yourself http://bit.ly/Expediaplus2

After the flight and accommodation, let's start planning the trip. But Nui's itinerary changes every day, not quite according to the plan. The actual travel day is as follows:

Day 1 (This refers to the morning of the next day, not including the day of arrival as it was quite late) I had dim sum at London Restaurant, went for a walk in the Wan Chai district, had noodles at Mak's Noodle, walked down Hollywood Road, and went to The Peak's Tram for the view. I finished the evening with dinner at Sushi One.

Day 2, started with a delicious breakfast at Nathan Noodle and Congee, before spending the whole day at Disneyland. Ended the day with dinner at Sushi One.

Day 3 Nan Lian Garden, Chi Lin Nunnery, Wong Tai Sin Temple, Tim Ho Wan baked buns, full and then go to see SOL (symphony of light), walk around Temple Street Night Market and Lady Market

Day 4: Breakfast dim sum at Dragon Court, end with a nap at Ping, shopping at City Gate, and then fly back home!

Keep the MTR map handy. It'll make things a lot easier for you.

Plan and information are ready, let's go!

The first day of the trip was in the evening. I was excited. I checked in and was waiting to pick up my luggage. I also received documents to pass through immigration. I filled them out before going through.

The rain has just stopped, but the wind is still very strong.

Just a couple of winks and we're here!

Upon arrival at Hong Kong Airport after clearing immigration,

Nui said that many people are often worried about passing through immigration, especially Nui. She thought to herself, "Don't ask me anything, I won't be able to answer." But she had everything ready, including her accommodation and flight details. However, it turned out that she passed through immigration without a hitch. They didn't ask her a single question, just smiled. The only question she got was from the Thai side on her way out, teasing her that she changes her hairstyle every year. I'm starting to go off topic now.

The price for the first purchase

  • Adult Price HK$ 150 (Card deposit 50, the rest will be 100 we can use)

***Next time, please top up at least 50 at a time.***

** Every time we use the card, it will show us the remaining balance to see how much is left. If we forget to check, there will be a machine at the station for us to check the balance. Don't worry, the balance shown does not have to be 50 left, because the balance shown is the amount we can use. ***

Or you can find more information on the Octopus card website.

http://www.octopus.com.hk/home/en/index.html

Next, we went to buy a SIM card, which included internet and calls. Nui bought it at the 1010 store, the yellow one, for HK$118. It comes with 4G internet and HK$48 worth of calls.

Another option is to get a SIM card from i-sim. You can find more information about it online. I didn't use this method myself, but my friend who went with me did.

Plus, there are pocket wifi rentals available at the airport. I didn't ask about the cost (I was afraid I wouldn't understand them).

It's time to go to the accommodation. Time flies really fast. I'm staying in Mong Kok, which is quite convenient to travel. It's located on a main road and near the MRT station.

But Nui chose to travel to the accommodation by bus, route A21.

Look for the five signs to City. Just follow the signs.

When you see this sign, turn right.

#

Then we looked for the bus line we were going to take. I like this place because when people get on the bus, they line up in an orderly manner.

Oh, I forgot to mention that the bus fare is HK$33 and it takes about 45 minutes. I got off at bus stop number 6, which is right in front of the building.

The door has 2 layers, which is quite safe.

The room is not spacious, but it's not too small either. The owner speaks English and is very kind. He recommended everything, even the shampoo and soap.

The bathroom has shampoo, soap, toothbrush, and towel, which is considered complete. However, the bathroom is narrow, just enough to turn around.

The other amenities are considered very good. The price that Nui booked came out to be over 600 baht per person per night.

There is a water heater, a hot water kettle, a hair dryer, water, glasses, shoes, air conditioning, and most importantly, it's clean. I leave my valuables there every day, whether it's lenses, ipads, or notebooks. Nothing has ever been lost (but next time it might not be, so it's best to be careful, don't be forgetful like me).

Enough for the preparation information, get ready and the accommodation starts to get lost now.

---- Day 1 ----

On the first morning of our trip, we were all hungry after walking around. So we decided to find some delicious food to eat near our accommodation in Mong Kok.

I originally planned to eat at another restaurant, I had done my research and everything, but huh, where did the restaurant go? What should I do now? Let's open the map, let's open the book, what should I eat this morning?

And finally, we stopped at this restaurant: London restaurant.

This shop is located in Mong Kok, on Nathan Road, 3rd floor of Good Hope Bldg.

Open from 7.00 am to 12.00 am

The restaurant is quite spacious, taking up the entire floor. Most of the customers are locals and elderly people. Let's blend in.

There will be a cart serving food throughout the meal, in case there is something we didn't order but they bring it out in case we see it and want to eat it. That's another cool thing.

Upon reaching the menu, I was initially disheartened to see only Chinese characters. However, upon further inspection, I discovered a picture-based menu, which made things much easier. I was able to simply point and choose the dishes I wanted based on their corresponding numbers.

The first dish, I don't know what it is, but it looks like a deep-fried har gow. However, it's filled with a mixture of pork and shrimp. It was quite delicious and the dumplings were very large.

Next up is the shrimp-stuffed rice noodle roll, which is a must-try for shrimp lovers like me. The shrimp are whole, large, and plentiful, making for a satisfying bite.

At first glance, this menu item is clearly a shrimp dumpling. The shrimp are whole, just like before, the filling is dense, and the dough is soft and delicious. I really like it.

The filling of the steamed bun is delicious, but the dough is a bit hard.

Free refills of iced tea (I wonder if they charge for it though)

In summary, I ate 4 dishes, but this is not the complete bill. When I paid, it was different and included a service charge.

After we had our fill, we continued our journey. Our destination was a bit far, as we were going to walk around the old town.

Wan Chai itself, which can be reached by taking the blue line train and getting off at Wan Chai Station.

But hey!!! I noticed that each station has a different and beautiful color. Well, I don't know who likes it or not, but I do. I took pictures of it at every station I passed, starting with Mong Kok.

Change trains at Admiralty station.

and ends at Wan Chai Station

Exit through door A3 and you will find the main road. Cross the road to Toys Street and continue walking straight ahead.

The old post office in Wan Chai is beautiful. It is no longer used as a post office, but it is still preserved.

Translation:

Inside there is still a lot of information, books and this dog.

As we walk along, we will come across Pak Tai Temple. Nui is a religious person, so she always visits temples wherever she goes.

The incense in the Hong Kong temple was strange. At first, I thought it was some kind of ambush, but when I looked closer, I saw that it was smoke. Incense, huh? (Always clueless)

Inside, there are statues of many deities, but the main one is Pak Tai, the god of the sea. Villagers believe that he can ward off evil spirits.

Incredibly, this temple is situated amidst towering skyscrapers.

This is the case with every temple, which is located in the middle of the city, unlike in our country. But even though they are located in the middle of the city, amidst tall buildings, once you enter, you can still feel the peace and quiet, and the power of faith.

Translation:

Walk, walk, walk. There are stories hidden in every corner. This area is not very crowded, so we can walk and take pictures without getting bored.

It's time to take some pictures! Hey, let's take a picture of ourselves as a souvenir.

After a long walk and taking plenty of photos, Nui decided to have lunch at Mak's Noodle. Taking the blue line train to Central Station, the restaurant is located on Wellington Street.

This shop right here.

The first dish was Hong Kong kale with oyster sauce, which we ordered after seeing it on the table next to us. We wondered why everyone was ordering it, but when we tried it, it was delicious.

Shrimp wonton noodles, the soup and noodles are the same, the only difference is the wontons, which are smaller but come in larger quantities. Price 35 baht. This restaurant has an English menu, making it easy to order.

After a delicious meal, let's go for a walk to help with digestion. This area is not far from Hollywood Boulevard, so let's go take some pictures there.

But I fell into the trap of this shop. I saw a lot of people gathered around, and I, being a victim of marketing, thought that if there were a lot of people, it must be delicious. So, what did I do? I rushed to join the queue, of course.

Translation:

The sight of the cones in front of the shop was enough to make my mouth water. And seeing everyone holding them, I was like, "Wow, those look so good!"

The reason it's like this... is because it's expensive, like, you wouldn't think to convert it to Thai baht. Once you convert it to Thai baht, you can't eat it. I'm secretly stingy.

That's only about 250 baht, which is almost 500 baht for a beautiful cone with several scoops. I'd rather save my money and eat ice cream at home.

However, the ice cream was so delicious that I wanted to go back and buy more. But I was told to wait because it would take a long time, so we had to move on.

With a little time left, we continued our walk to Hollywood Road, intending to pay our respects at Man Mo Temple. However, the temple was undergoing renovations and repairs.

Translation:

So I asked the roadside instead, walked around and took pictures to my heart's content. Let's continue to the final destination of the day.

That is Peak Trem

There are two ways to get there. We can take a bus up, or take a tram, which is more trendy. And of course, when we go, we have to get something that's cool, because we don't know when we'll be able to go again. To get to Peak Trem, take the MTR blue line to Central Station and exit through exit K2. Turn right at the park, walk straight ahead, cross the street, and walk straight ahead again. You'll find it there.

Round-trip tickets cost 83 dollars. It is recommended to buy them in advance, as they will be cheaper and you will not have to wait in line for a long time. The lines are very long.

But you see, the spot where the villagers were watching, waiting for the light show, the angle that they said was the most beautiful, I didn't see it. The young master took me on a walk until my legs were dragging, to another side, to sit and wait for the beautiful light and the more stunning angle. And suddenly, the giantess appeared and asked, "Knowing this, why didn't you take the bus? It would have been much cheaper."

And look, what we expected to be beautiful, why is the sky so white? Why is the thick fog coming down so heavily now? Or is this smoke from Indonesia (no, it's not)?

I have a question in my heart. I came to Hong Kong expecting my husband to take me shopping, but he brought me here to wait for the light. Honey, did I misunderstand something?

But as dusk fell, the light began to change, it was beautiful, even though there was still some fog obscuring it.

This shows that this lower angle is much better than the one above. You can see a wider angle and don't have to fight for a photo spot.

Spread the word to come see this spot, it's beautiful. But I could only get these few pictures. Actually, there were more, but I lost one of my memory cards. It had the pictures from the first day and the second day from the other camera.

And for the return trip on the Peak Tram, be warned that the wait for the tram is very long. We were standing there with stiff legs. If we have the chance next time, we will definitely take the bus.

After being mesmerized by the stunning views, our stomachs were still growling relentlessly. It was almost 8 pm and we were deep in the forest. Nui decided to grab a bite near our accommodation. Today, we ate at Sushi One, located on the 3rd floor of the Grand Building, right next to Exit E2 of Mongkok MTR station.

The queue is long as usual, but they manage it well. I only had to wait a short while.

Why do we have to eat at this restaurant? .... Because we heard that this restaurant has a 50% discount after 9 pm. Ready, let's go!

Translation:

Translation:

These two dishes are not on sale, but they are delicious.

Everything else is on sale.

Translation:

The meat is fresh and delicious, cut into thick, bite-sized pieces.

The first day is over. We're so full we can barely crawl back to our rooms. Everything was delicious.

----Day 2----

The second morning arrived. Today, I planned to spend the whole day at Disneyland to get my money's worth.

Every day in Hong Kong, Nui hardly ever wakes up early. She prefers to take it easy, waking up at 7 am every day, and sometimes even 8 am.

This morning, Nui chose Nathan Noodle and Congee, but Nui's confusion and dizziness started early in the morning. She got off at the wrong MTR station and walked a long way. It is recommended that if you want to come to this restaurant, get off at Jordan Station or get off at Yau Ma Tie like Nui, but it is much farther away.

After waking up late and feeling super relaxed, we went for a walk and ended up sweating profusely. We even exited through the wrong door. But anyway, we made it to the shop. The shop is located near the Novotel. There is a sign in front of the shop that says "You won't know if you don't try" in Thai. The staff can speak Thai, but not very clearly. However, we were able to understand them.

Translation:

This restaurant sells both congee and noodles, but today all the congee is sold out. The first bowl that came was abalone congee, and the young master said it tasted normal.

The second bowl of fish porridge, Nui also said it was just okay, not very delicious.

A must-have is deep-fried dough sticks.

It's delicious to add to porridge. Eating it plain depends on your preference.

This menu features incredibly tender pork liver that is completely free of any gamey flavor. It's absolutely delicious!

After a satisfying meal, it's time to take a trip down memory lane. This time, we'll be taking a shorter walk to Jordan Station.

Perfect timing! We arrived just as it opened, and people were just starting to trickle in.

Upon arrival, let's have a little fun with Mickey Mouse, the star of this place.

Now let's talk about tickets. I bought mine in advance, and there wasn't a long wait. But the price I paid in advance was a little cheaper, about a hundred or two hundred baht.

Let's go inside.

Seeing the innocent children posing so cutely, do you think auntie will give in?

The first thing I played was perfect for my young age, haha. Are you embarrassed? No, because only adults play it.

Arrive late brutally.

It was fun, moderately exciting.

This zone is for taking photos only, no playing allowed.

Toy Story has a lot to offer.

This one is a bit breezy, depending on the age that is getting older, but the number of rounds is a bit low. If you want to play again, you have to wait in line for a long time.

But the highlight is this machine. Let me tell you, Nui just screamed from below. She didn't go up. I admit I chickened out.

Tired from playing, walking around, there are only cute corners.

It's better to sit and watch the show quietly.

Play everything you have time for, but the queue is a bit long. This is even though I went on a weekday, not a Saturday or Sunday. But hey, I'm here on vacation, so don't stress about things like this.

And then Nui played with this and that until it got dark. She played until she forgot that there would be a parade at 3 pm. It's okay, there's another round in the evening.

And I want to say that during the night time here is very beautiful. It's like a city in a fairy tale.

The parade will start at 7 pm. We walked around and waited for the time to pass.

And then the long-awaited time has arrived. The real thing is much more magnificent than this. Nui was only able to take a few photos.

Translation:

For dinner, Nui went back to eat at Sushi One as usual. Today, she got more value for her money because she knew what was on sale. --- Day 3 ---

This morning, we had a light breakfast of bread because we woke up very late.

And the first destination of the day is Nan Lian Garden.

Take the MTR Green Line and get off at Dimond Hill Station, Exit C2. Walk straight ahead and follow the signs.

It's only about 300 meters from the station. It's easy to find and very easy to get to.

This Chinese pavilion and bright red wooden bridge are the symbols of the garden.

Translation:

Inside, there is also a relaxation area and a cafe for sipping tea and coffee.

Behind the waterfall is a famous vegetarian restaurant, but this trip we are not focusing on vegetarian food, so we will pass.

The atmosphere inside the garden is clearly different from the outside. The sky is high, but in the middle there is still a beautiful and peaceful garden. It is very natural.

Nui then walked across the sky bridge to the Chi Lin Nunnery.

It is a Buddhist nunnery. The highlight is the carved wood architecture, which was constructed without using a single nail.

I want to say that the inside is very beautiful, but photography is not allowed inside.

For those who want to pay their respects at the temple, it is recommended to arrive before 4:30 PM, as the temple itself closes before the surrounding area.

Our third stop of the day is another temple. I told you I'm a spiritual person, and when you're with your loved one, visiting temples is a great way to connect. Let's make lots of merit together so we can be reborn as a couple again in our next life.

The destination is Wong Tai Sin Temple. Take the MTR green line to Wong Tai Sin Station, exit B3, and you will see it right away.

Translation:

I must say that this temple is very crowded. There are so many Thai people. At first, I forgot myself and thought I was in Thailand.

Originally known as Wong Tai Sin Temple, it was just a small shrine in the Wan Chai district. Later, the temple was relocated to its present location.

Most people come here to pray for good health, but I once read that you can also come here to pray for a soulmate. There is a god of red thread here.

However, I didn't do any serious research on this topic. If you're single, you can try to learn more about it. If you can't win by trickery, you have to win by strategy. But with people's hearts, you have to exchange hearts.

And after this will be a rather winding journey of Nui. Please do not follow her example.

Today's lunch destination is the legendary Tim Ho Wan bun shop. This is where my obsession began. There are many branches, and I stumbled upon a review that mentioned a branch at Central.

Shop 12A, Hong Kong Station (Podium Level 1, IFC Mall), Central

Okay, this branch should be easy. I'm confused after reading it.

Let's start our journey. If we get off at Hongkong station, look for exit F. It's easy to find.

For those who are getting off at Central Station, please look for the Airport Express sign.

Translation:

Walk straight until you reach Hongkong station. Look for exit F, and you will find the shop on the left-hand side, where there are many people standing. That's it.

Very hungry, but seeing the queue is mentally exhausting. But whatever, I've come this far, been lost for a while, waiting a little longer is fine. Because it will definitely make us more delicious.

And it's really delicious too. Very delicious. The dough is thin and crispy with a bit of softness inside. The filling is very delicious.

Steamed fresh shrimp dumplings, the first restaurant I ate at was more delicious than

Braised pork ribs with fermented soybean paste. The pork is very tender and delicious.

Steamed spareribs with black bean sauce

Steamed pork and shrimp dumplings

Steamed pork and shrimp dumplings

Shrimp Noodle Rolls

The cost of this meal is not much, but I ate a lot.

In my opinion, the only delicious thing is the baked bun, which I've tried at other restaurants and it's not as good. But everything else is just average. I recommend just buying the baked buns to take home so you don't have to wait in line, and then go eat dim sum at another restaurant instead.

Another must-see in Hong Kong is the Symphony of Lights show at Victoria Harbour.

Just keep walking along the path. The rest will be waiting for the time.

The evening air here is very pleasant. The wind blows constantly, and I sit watching the boats sail by, with many people around.

And this is probably one of the symbols of this place.

As the sun dips below the horizon, the city comes alive with a vibrant display of colors. Buildings illuminate their facades, showcasing their architectural splendor in a dazzling spectacle.

And decided to go back to continue walking at Temple Street Night Market.

Translation:

Take the MTR Red Line and get off at Jordan Station, Exit A. Turn right and walk straight ahead. You will find it there.

This area is bustling and looks amazing. There are so many restaurants!

Especially seafood restaurants, shrimp, shellfish, crabs and fish, and all restaurants will focus on selling crabs. The price is not cheap at all. The crabs look like the crabs in our house, so I can't wait to go back home and eat them.

The night is not over yet, it's the last night. Let's go to the most lively place near our accommodation, the Lady's Market.

MRT Red Line as usual, exit D3

Wow, this area is packed again! It must be because it's Saturday, a day off, so people are so lively.

And what you see Nui standing and looking at here is the Sushi Express restaurant, which is very cheap. Each piece costs 3 coins, which is less than 15 baht in Thai money. But my body can't handle raw fish anymore, and the line is very long, so I'm just standing here looking at the prices. This restaurant is a conveyor belt type.

The bill is calculated per dish, 6 coins per dish. There are 2 words.

After observing for a while to gather information, we continued walking.

There are shoes of all brands and breeds, but there is no shopping budget. Just take a look.

The dish was very large. The taste was average. I don't remember the price of this dish.

This bowl is so big that I couldn't finish it all. It costs 39 dollars.

----Day 4----

Our last morning, we woke up late as usual. Today, we left our accommodation at almost 9 am to find dim sum near our place to eat.

Today I ate at Dragon Court. This restaurant is easy to find. It is located near Exit E2 of Mongkok Station, on the left-hand side. This is the building.

Translation:

Comfortable seating, the shop is quite spacious.

This Chinese menu is very cheap, only 12 and 18 dollars. But the question is how to order. Just ask, the way to ask is very simple, just point to what you want and they will tell you which box to choose. It's funny, but it's delicious and not expensive. Nui likes it.

And our random poking and reading resulted in this: Shrimp toast.

Similar to dumplings, but with a vegetable filling. This was ordered from the Chinese menu.

At least one thing was ordered correctly: shrimp dumplings.

Rice noodle rolls with red pork filling, cut into bite-sized pieces

And lastly, the lava buns were delicious and affordable. In Thai currency, they cost less than 20 baht each.

The damage of this meal is delicious in a confusing way. I ordered it in a daze, but I finished everything.

The last temple, the bag is ready, but I'm not going back yet. Today we will go to worship the Big Buddha first.

Take the MTR Orange Line and get off at Tung Chung Station.

Go down to B2 floor, you will see the key symbol as shown in the picture.

Then we will come across the lockers. There will be small and large sizes, with different prices. Oh, I can't remember the price. I'll go back and dig up the receipt and let you know later.

After leaving our luggage, we went to pay respects to the Big Buddha and took the cable car. There were a lot of people and the queue was very long. What I recommend is to buy tickets in advance. If you don't, check the queue below to see how long it really is.

Even though I bought it, the queue is still long.

Translation:

The difference is that Crystal has a glass floor. When I bought it, it was 220 baht more expensive, but I recommend buying the cystal type because the queue is much shorter, faster, and there are fewer people, both on the way there and back. The price difference is not that big.

Finally, we got on the cable car. We were excited as usual.

We arrived at the top in no time.

It has all languages, including Thai.

There are many restaurants on the top floor, but that's not the purpose of today.

Our main purpose is to worship and pray for blessings.

After paying respects and making merit, it's time to head back down. Please note that there is a time limit for staying at the top. You can stay until [time].

Nui didn't summarize the daily expenses and didn't record the details of the daily expenses either. But she can summarize that the trip for two people, including accommodation and airfare, is about 30,000 baht, which means 15,000 baht per person.

Not focusing on luxurious accommodation or expensive flights, but focusing on delicious food and comprehensive sightseeing. I hope this review will be useful for those who are going to Hong Kong. You can discuss and ask more questions here: https://web.facebook.com/MyLifeMyTravels
