Interesting facts

There are two main routes to get to Koh Phangan from Bangkok.

1. Take a flight from Bangkok to Koh Samui and then take a boat to Koh Phangan (This option saves time for those with limited time).

2. Take the Lomprayah bus from Khao San Road to Chumphon and then take a boat to Koh Phangan (you can choose the travel time, it takes a long time, suitable for people who have time to travel)

Additional travel routes.

Airplane
- Landing at Koh Samui is expensive but convenient, with a ferry ride of only half an hour.
- Landing at Surat Thani is not very expensive, with many airlines (low-cost) to choose from, but you have to take a car + boat, which takes another 3-4 hours.

Tourist bus
The Transport Company of Thailand (BKS) buses depart from Sai Tai Mai and Mo Chit. The bus leaves at 7:30 p.m. and arrives at the pier at 6:30 a.m. The price of the bus and ferry is approximately 1,100 baht. The bus will drive onto the ferry, so you won't have to move your luggage. You will arrive at Koh Phangan around 9 a.m.

For this trip, I chose to use the services of Lomprayah. I opted for the overnight option, taking the 9:00 PM bus from Khao San Road to Chumphon's Thung Makham Noi Pier, arriving at 5:40 AM. I then boarded the Lomprayah ferry at 7:00 AM. During the journey, the ferry made stops at Nang Yuan Island and Koh Tao to drop off goods and passengers. We arrived at Thong Sala Pier on Koh Phangan at approximately 11:30 AM.

EP.1 "Lomprayah to Koh Phangan"

Walking into Soi Ram Butri, you'll find Lumphraya checking in with a steady stream of Western and Asian tourists, even though it's low season.

Our journey began on Khao San Road. We traveled by Lomprayah's overnight bus and speedboat. The bus departs at 9:00 PM (you can call to book and check in between 7:30 PM and 8:30 PM before departure). The price is 1350 baht (this price includes the bus and boat).

I checked in around 7:40 PM. I already have my ticket. I just want to double-check the ticket to make sure it's correct so I don't get on the wrong boat.

I had some time to spare, so I decided to walk around and find a place to eat while I waited for my ride.

I sat down to eat pork congee with egg at Khun The's shop. The shop is located in front of 7-11. The taste is good. Then I went in to order Swensens ice cream to eat while waiting..

The car will pick you up at 8:50 PM. You can sit on the lower floor and stretch your legs out.

Waking up again in Chumphon, Thung Makham Noi Pier, walking in line to check in the boat ticket at 05.50 am.

A bridge stretches out to the sea, and the moon contrasts with the morning sky.

The Lomprayah ferry departs at approximately 7:21 AM. The first destination is Nang Yuan Island, followed by Koh Tao, and our final destination is Koh Phangan.

It's 9:12 AM now. Let's admire the beautiful Koh Nang Yuan again. It's always a feast for the eyes.

Upon arrival at Thongsala Pier, the resort will provide a van to pick you up. The journey from the pier to the resort takes approximately 20 minutes.

EP.2 "Phangan Utopia Resort"

Phangan Utopia Resort is located in Mae Haad area. The resort's location is suitable for tourists who love peace and quiet, and enjoy the natural environment of the surrounding mountains and the sea view from the mountains. The resort offers 6 types of rooms, both sea view and mountain view. Inside the resort, there is a restaurant and a beautiful swimming pool with a great view, perfect for relaxing on your special day.

This trip, I made an appointment with a junior, 1 person, traveling with his mother. On this trip, we will have an adventure together, with me leading the team 555+

My younger sister's name is Fia. She's from the south, kind-hearted, has sharp features, fair skin, and is incredibly beautiful (just kidding!).

While waiting, I took some photos of the atmosphere and enjoyed a relaxing soak in the jacuzzi.

After arriving and unpacking, we went to the resort's restaurant and ordered some food.

After finishing our meal, we went down to take photos at the swimming pool. However, we were unlucky as the weather was not on our side. It rained in the evening, forcing us to stop shooting.

Even though it's raining, the sea water is still clear.

As for the restaurant, the resort offers a menu with a variety of options, including Italian, Thai, and seafood dishes. The taste and price are considered reasonable.

On the first day, we need to rest first. Tomorrow we have a special program. GN.....Zzzz

EP.3 "Phangan Swimming Pool Utopia Resort and Sunset 360 bar"

Waking up early on the second day of the trip, I soaked up the sunshine to energize myself and prepare for the day's adventures. For today, I have a plan to go snorkeling in the late morning.

Step out onto the balcony and soak up the morning sun.

The weather is nice today. I will take you to see the swimming pool.

The swimming pool is spacious, the water is clean and clear, and it looks inviting. The water in the pool is not too deep, and there are sunbathing spots available.

The swimming pool is divided into zones, with a children's pool where they can swim.

Please shower before and after swimming.

On the other side of the resort, you can walk up the path and enjoy the view.

As you walk up to enjoy the view, the surrounding area is full of natural forests that you can access.

360 bar This bar offers stunning sunset views both in the morning and evening. The name "360 bar" is fitting, as it provides breathtaking panoramic views. It's an absolute must-visit!

The bar's balcony is surrounded by beautiful bamboo benches, making it a perfect spot for selfie enthusiasts.

The unseen view from the 360 bar on this side is a high-angle view of the sea separating Koh Ma.

EP.4 "Snorkeling Point: Koh Ma, Koh Khom, Bottle Beach"

After showering and changing clothes, we went to the resort's restaurant for breakfast. Breakfast is served from 8:30 AM to 10:00 AM.

Scuba diving tours can be purchased at the reception. There are a variety of programs available, including half-day dives around the island, with your choice of coast, or 1-day diving trips to the Ang Thong Islands.

(It is recommended to purchase 1 hour before diving time. The price is for 3 people at 1800 baht. This price does not include food. The diving time is approximately from 11.45 to 16.00.)

Our diving program has 3 locations: Koh Ma, Koh Khom, and Bottle Beach.

The resort's van will take us to Cholok Lam Beach.

Upon reaching the beach, we waited to buy lunch boxes to take on the boat. Auntie Porn's shop is a grocery store and a restaurant (if you come to visit, please support her).

The food at Auntie Porn's restaurant is delicious.

Chuveeduva will take you diving to see clownfish.

From this point, you can see the Phangan Utopia Resort and the 360 Bar.

Due to the strong waves at the first location, Black Horse Island, filming was not possible. Therefore, the filming was moved to the second location, Koh Khom.

Moving on to point 3, this point will be the most beautiful. The clear sea, plus the white sand ridge, this point is called "Bottle Beach".

Her swimming skills are top-notch.

EP.5 "Sunset 360 Bar"

After returning from diving, I went up to take a sunset photo at the 360 Bar for you.

The staff at the bar were very kind and allowed me to go up to the 3rd floor to take photos.

360 Bar is a newly opened bar that is currently under construction on the 2nd and 3rd floors.

EP.6 "Pak Rim Nam Phangan Utopia Resort and Talay Waek, Koh Ma" (The Final Part)

This morning, I will take you to see another view of Phangan Utopia Resort. Are you ready? Let's go!

Relaxing by the riverbank, cool breeze, if I could bring my Taylor Gs mini Koa guitar from home to play with, it would be amazing.

The resort kindly lent us a motorbike for filming. We are very grateful for their generosity.

To get to Koh Ma, drive down from the resort. When you see the large sign in front of the resort, turn right and continue driving, following the signs to Koh Ma. You will reach the photo spot.

The beach is beautiful, with white sand and a clear blue sea. The sun is shining brightly.

Soft sand, so light that you can float on it.

Check out time is 12.00 pm. The resort's van will provide transportation to Thong Sala Pier.

On the way back, take the Lumphraya boat at 13.00 hrs.
