When there was a long holiday during the winter, the end of 2015, what everyone asked Jack was, Jack, where are you going????????
Talking to myself, where should I go? I don't know what's wrong with me. I'm so confused. I think it's because I'm so busy with work.
I don't know where to go.
Before you travel, please visit Jack's small photography page at www.facebook.com/jackrockerphotographer
I decided not to drive. Taking a bus is much more fun. After thinking about it, I decided on 2 days before the break.
This plan will take you on a trip to Pai > Pang Ung > Mae Hong Son.
Because I want to go and fix it. I went to Pang Ung before, but I didn't see it when it was beautiful. The weather wasn't good at that time. Hmm, it's okay.
We don't have time to research anything, so let's just go with what we've already been to.
Coming and going, the fog is here! I got to read the fog route of Mr. Milk Tea, the fog hunter. Mr. Milk Tea takes very beautiful pictures.
Here are some of the best places to see the mist on Khao Kho, including Khao Takhian Ngo, which offers a 360-degree view of the mist. It's truly amazing!
This, coupled with a photographer who likes to travel, posted a picture of the sea of fog at the Khao Takhian Ngo viewpoint in the Backpacker Travel group, asking for information.
He said he slept at Thung Salang Luang and then went to see the fog at Khao Takhian Ngo. Thank you for the information.
This person said they can't resist the sea of fog, so their trip to Pang Ung had to be cancelled. They surrendered to the sea of fog. 55555
Don't think too much about it. Let's just say we'll drive up to Khao Kho again this year. Easy, right?
Jack's idea was that since we were already driving, were there any interesting places to go? He spread out the map and looked, but there was no place in any province that caught Jack's eye.
I remembered that there was a hill of tamarind trees that we wanted to see what it was like. I had read some reviews before.
Okay, then on the way back to Bangkok, I'll go down from Khao Kho and return via Phitsanulok. I'll stop for a night at Noen Maprang to take pictures of the limestone mountains and the bats flying out of the cave at Ban Mung. That's it!
The school is closed from December 24th, but Jack has to stay in Bangkok to do some tasks on December 25th. Therefore, the trip has to be on December 26th, 2015.
Departed from Bangkok around 1 am.
(Why do we have to leave at 1 am? Because every morning is important for chasing the fog. Jack left at 1 am because he wanted to get to Khao Kho early.
1 morning is 1 chance to see the fog. Think about it, how many chances will we have? It will be a very special day if we see the fog on the first morning.
We can then go to other places without having to sleep in Khao Kho. We can do whatever we want.)
Asking if I slept on the night of the 25th, I didn't sleep well. I went to bed early because I usually sleep around midnight or one in the morning.
Driving, I was very worried about myself, afraid of falling asleep at the wheel. But no, it was easy. Jack went on the Saraburi route and then separated to Lop Buri, Phetchabun, Highway No. 21.
Took a quick break at PTT Lam Narai. Grabbed an M150 and continued driving. By the time I reached Petchabun, the sun had already risen.
It means we probably missed seeing the sunrise over the fog on the first morning, but I still secretly think that if the fog is thick in the late morning, the fog will still be there.
After passing the city center, continue driving and you will find the road up to Khao Kho at Ban Nang Rua. Turn left and follow the road. The road is winding and steep in some sections, but not too much.
As you approach the scenic route of Khao Kho, you will encounter various resorts and accommodations.
You will encounter Yaek Ruamrudee. If you turn right at this intersection, you will be on the tourist route and go to the viewpoint of Khao Kho.
If you are heading straight to Khao Takhian Ngo and Thung Salaeng Luang, do not turn yet. Continue driving straight ahead and you will see the entrance to the Khao Takhian Ngo viewpoint on your right. There will be a sign.
You can drive up to the top, it's only a few hundred meters. You can pitch a tent at the top and there are bathroom facilities available.
Jack arrived at Khao Takhian Ngo at 7:50 am. What awaited him today was...
The thin mist and the sun have arrived, shining brightly.
I almost cried 5555 Jack's first morning fog is gone, but the view is beautiful.
Okay, at least I can try again tomorrow. But where should I sleep tonight? I don't know. I guess I'll drive around and explore the area first.
After descending from the viewpoint, continue on the same path. The entrance to Thung Salaeng Luang (Nong Mae Na) will be on your right-hand side.
Okay, okay, it's here. Should I sleep here tonight? It's still early, I think I'll drive up to Khao Kho to find something to eat. Turn around and drive back the same way, but Jack will go up to Khao Kho, at the three-way intersection near the National Park here, not back up the Ruen Rudee intersection.
I saw a sign for a three-way intersection not far from the entrance to the national park. The sign said "To Khao Kho," so I decided to check it out. The views along the way were beautiful. There were plenty of vacant accommodations advertised along the road. Oh, this road also leads to the Camp Pine intersection. I didn't explore the road the last time I was here, haha. I just realized that the road forms a loop.
Please park at the Kanchanapisek Buddhamonthon.
Let's pay respect to the stupa.
Across the street is a souvenir shop. I saw a cozy cafe called Boran Niyom @ Khao Kho. Let's go and chill for a bit.
He's been driving for hours, he's tired too, let's rest for a bit, okay?
Looks delicious, doesn't it?
The wind is cool.
I've been around here for a while, waiting for the time. Around noon, I went into Thung Salaeng Luang National Park and paid the entrance fee of 70 baht for one person and one car.
Then drive to the tourist service point (here they provide 24-hour service).
Register for tent camping (no advance booking required). Exchange your ID card.
The officer will hand you the entrance card. Jack has his own tent. Pay 30 baht and you're done.
Then you can go and find a place to set up your tent.
Jack drove straight to the campsite and chose a spot by the road so he could pitch his tent next to his car for convenience. After setting up the tent, he went for a walk to take some pictures.
This place has a restaurant service. There are bicycles for rent. 50 baht per hour. If it's a day, it's 200 baht. Choose as you like. I'll take one bike. The staff also gave me a map.
After inquiring with the officer, I learned that sedans can access the viewpoint 4 kilometers away. However, it is not recommended to take a sedan to the Nang Phaya slope.
Wow, the way
Jack decided to ride his bike in to explore the path, in case he wanted to drive in to watch the sunrise in the morning.
The bike rental shop owner gave me a map.
There are signs.
The road was not very good in some parts, there were some uphill sections, I was so tired. I was so thirsty, I didn't bring any water with me. In the end, I didn't reach the viewpoint. 55555
I'd better go. The sky is getting dark.
On the way.
The first thing I did when I got back was eat. A simple but delicious dish: stir-fried minced pork with basil and a fried egg.
One glass of plain ice, one bottle of water, total price 50 or 55, I forgot. Hehe.
In the evening, I looked for a corner to watch the sunset.
I was planning to take pictures of the stars at night, but the sky was cloudy and I couldn't see any stars.
I forgot to mention, if you need to charge your phone, you can do so at the shops for 20 baht per hour. Alternatively, you can charge your phone at the tourist information center, where they have a donation box for electricity costs.
I was exhausted from the whole day on the first day. I was so tired that I planned to wake up at 4 or 5 am to see the sky in case I could take pictures of the stars. But it was a day when the sky was not cooperating.
This morning I woke up, washed my face and brushed my teeth, but didn't shower (haha). Then I packed up my tent, put away my things, and went to exchange my ticket at the tourist service center.
Wait a minute, where did the officer go? I'm in a hurry. It's not good to wait too long. Jack needs to see a doctor soon. Okay, I'll take the liberty of walking over to the table.
Behind the counter, the staff member placed our ID cards in order.
Jack picked it up and wrote a letter to the officer, who would be surprised that the letter had disappeared.
It was almost dawn, but Jack didn't think he would see the sunrise this morning.
Let's go to Khao Takhian Ngo to catch the mist. It's better to go up at 7 am.
I went up and there was some fog, but I could still see the sun. I pressed the shutter once, but the picture wasn't good. So I ran to get my tripod from the car.
But it was too late. In just a moment, the wind blew the fog away, and the mountain disappeared.
I waited for a very long time, walking around taking pictures of other angles, but there was only thick fog everywhere, white as far as the eye could see. The fog turned into water.
Oh my god, life is like Phu Ruea at the end of 2014. We made another mistake.
Many people have already left the viewpoint, but Jack still hasn't given up at 8:00 a.m. He's going to go up to the Khao Kho viewpoint and thinks he'll have to stay in Khao Kho for another night to catch the fog again in the morning.
We were about to start the car when we suddenly saw the mountain peak again. Jack immediately got out of the car. This went on for a few minutes, the wind blowing him away again. It was like a game of hide and seek.
The best picture of Jack this morning is probably the fog like this. Although it's not as beautiful as your milk tea, it's okay. I'm somewhat satisfied.
8.40 The fog started to dissipate, but it was still faintly visible. I was able to capture this image.

Let's watch the fog start to clear.
Okay, I got the picture. Then we don't have to sleep in Khao Kho tonight.
Jack drove to the Khao Kho viewpoint to recharge. Of course, there was no fog at this time.
There is an event going on right now. I'm walking around looking at things.
There are a lot of things for sale, but honestly, many shops sell the same things over and over again.
I bought a keychain and a pen holder.
Joke, it's delicious!
Another cup of hot milk
This operation to find the mist was not a failure. The images obtained are acceptable.
The fog has been collected in its own collection.
You see, sometimes it's not easy to get certain pictures. For Jack, he had to be persistent, patient, calm, and crazy too, haha.
The story of Jack and Mork is over.
The trip isn't over yet, there's one more place Jack will stop by on his way, which is Phitsanulok province. There's a small district that many people talk about, making me want to see what it's like.
Next station: Ban Mung, Noen Maprang .......
What's in Ban Mung? How amazing is the bat? Follow the link.
