Rayong is a province that I travel to quite often. It is a convenient province near Bangkok. It only takes a short drive to get there.

And on this trip to Rayong province, I made it a point to come here, "Thung Prong Thong". I've been wanting to experience the nature here at Thung Prong Thong for a very long time.

But there was never a chance. But finally today (February 14, 2016), I got it! ^^

The distance from my house to Thung Pro Thong is about 190 kilometers, which is not too far and is very suitable for a day trip.

As I drove along, I stopped for a few short breaks. It didn't take long before I arrived at my destination. I reached the place around 9 am, and the weather that day was quite hot and humid.

Before we travel to Thung Pro Thong, we will have to park our car at the designated parking area. The parking fee is only 20 baht per car.

We then had to take a shuttle bus provided by the organizers, which cost 5 baht per person. The distance from the parking lot to the entrance of Thung Prong Thong was about 1 kilometer.

There are about 2-3 parking lots here. The last lot, which is the deepest, is the closest to the entrance. You can park your car at any lot that is convenient for you.

And this is the car we rode in, which felt strange in a different way. We rode in the car for less than 5 minutes and arrived at the entrance to the golden mangrove field.

The way to get there by car

At the entrance, there will be shops to serve you. Before you walk in, it's a good idea to buy a bottle of water to take with you, as the walking distance is about 1 kilometer.

This place is open to the public from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Admission is free.

The path here is a wooden bridge that stretches into the mangrove forest. On both sides of the path, there are small and large mangrove trees scattered alternately.

As it is a wooden bridge, there may be some damage over time. Please be careful when walking.

As mentioned, the walkway is lined with mangrove forests on both sides, making it a great place to take photos and relax.

We didn't walk long before we reached the highlight of this place, the Golden Mangrove Field. The first time I walked out of the mangrove forest, I was amazed by what I saw in front of me.

Stepping out, you'll find yourself in a vast clearing where the sunlight bathes the trees in a golden hue, just as "they say".

It's a very wide field.

I've been taking pictures here for quite a while now.

After taking a few photos, I decided to continue walking. The path I was on was similar to the one I had taken earlier.

However, the mangrove trees in this area are much taller and denser.

Let's rest for a bit, I'm starting to get tired ^__^

Walk straight ahead, taking pictures as you go, until you reach the beach. The walk is about 1 kilometer long.

After walking and enjoying nature for a while, we have to go to the next place.

Saphan Phraesansin Bridge

Along the way, I took pictures all the way until I came across a rubber plantation, so I stopped to take some pictures for a while.

The next place I plan to visit is Khao Chamao Waterfall, followed by a sunset at Khao Laem Ya National Park.

However, during this trip, the water level was very low, so I couldn't take any pictures of the waterfall.

After that, I headed straight to Khao Laem Ya National Park.

I've been to this place before, but I've never been here to watch the sunset. I've only been here during the day.

There are two ways to get to the viewpoint here. The first way is to walk up the mountain through the forest.

The second part of the journey follows the coastline.

Both paths converge at the viewpoint.

The result of choosing to take a shortcut along the beach. Along the way there will be wooden bridges, some sections are large stone slabs. After walking for a while, we arrived at the viewpoint.

And soon the sun slowly set over the horizon, along with my journey for the day, as I had to return home.
