When you're feeling discouraged, I recommend going to the sea. The sound of the waves will tell you to keep fighting. On this trip, I'll take you on a luxury cruise and we'll feast on seafood in Rawai. Then we'll relax at Vijitt Resort Phuket.
This trip was initiated by a friend from my college days, whom I've known for almost a decade. He wanted to take his girlfriend on a luxurious date, with comfortable accommodations and plenty of delicious food, all within a budget of 15,000 baht per person. When a friend makes such a request, how could I possibly refuse?
Let's take a rough look at the expenses.
Round-trip Bangkok Airways tickets cost 1,060 baht per person. Car rental for 3 days + fuel costs 500 baht per person.
The package price for the boat trip + accommodation is 8,600 baht per person. Food for 5 meals costs 1,500 baht per person.
The total is 11,700 baht per person.
Now that we've settled the expenses, let's move on to our travel plans.
Day 1 Afternoon: Boat trip (It is recommended to arrive at the airport before 11 am if you want to go on a boat trip)
Evening: Enjoy seafood at Krua Khun Pa, Rawai
Day 2 Morning: Relax at Vijitra, Lunch: Eat at Photo, Evening: Play in the water, Enjoy seafood at Krua Khun Pa, Rawai
Day 3 Morning: Relax, Afternoon: Prepare to return to Bangkok
How was our trip? We focused on relaxing, eating, and sleeping. It was worth the room rate! Come on, let's start with the first day...
Our trip was based on the 48th anniversary promotion of Bangkok Airways. We got a round-trip price of 480 baht. It was a great deal!
We met at the Bangkok Airways lounge. We had to have some sticky rice with pork floss. If we didn't, it would be like something was missing.
Food served on the plane.
Upon arrival at Phuket, we divided our tasks. I went to collect our luggage while my friend went to pick up our rental car. After that, we opened Google Maps and headed to Ao Por Grand Marina to embark on our Hype boat trip.
The details of the cruise vary from day to day and it does not depart every day.
From November 16th to April 17th, the boat departs from Patong Pier.
Tuesday and Friday go to Racha Island, Wednesday and Saturday go to He Island, Thursday and Sunday go to Hae Island

Upon arriving at the pier, we parked our car and prepared our bags. A staff member greeted us, asked for our names, and directed us to the boat we would be taking to Khao Tapu. Once we boarded the boat, the staff member asked for our names again and led us to our seats. As we were a group of four, we were lucky to have the seats to ourselves, although couples might have to share with others.
While we were taking a break, there was a sudden downpour that cooled us down. It was refreshing!
After we had dried off, it was time to take some photos. We took some photos of my girlfriend, some of my friends,
and some of the girls, but we didn't take too many photos of the girls out of consideration for the people who were with us. Haha!
After filling our stomachs with the main course, it was time to indulge in the buffet spread. We could take as much as we wanted, and there was a wide variety of options available, including sushi, sandwiches, egg tarts, and spaghetti. There were also unlimited drinks, such as fruit juices and soft drinks. It was a real feast!
Feel free to eat as much as you like. Don't worry, there are clean restrooms on board.
Around three in the afternoon, the boat stopped for us to swim. We went to the beach, where there were small boats to take us back and forth.
Those who didn't want to swim could take photos on the boat or sunbathe at the front of the boat.
The sky and waves aren't cooperating today, so we're staying on the boat and chilling out. Taking some photos and enjoying the breeze.
The boat will stop for swimming for approximately 45 minutes, depending on the weather conditions. After the guests who went swimming have boarded the boat,
there will be chilled fruits to enjoy, along with light cocktails to stimulate the body to move to the rhythm of the music that the DJ starts playing. The staff will encourage the guests to get up and move their bodies gently.
After a while, when the guests were ready, they all came out to show off their moves. The atmosphere was full of fun and excitement, and we met new friends who spoke the same language, as well as some who spoke different languages. But I believe that at this time, everyone was ready to have fun together.
And another moment not to be missed is the sunset. Although the sky wasn't very cooperative today, the last golden light of the day was still beautiful.
Today I had the chance to meet Praew Wong-Olie. She was so lovely and had a great personality. When you meet a beautiful woman like that, you have to take a picture!
Around 7 pm, I arrived safely on the shore.
Before checking into our accommodation, we went to a seafood restaurant called "Khun Paa". We had to buy the ingredients ourselves and then bring them to the restaurant to be cooked.
The cooking fee is 100 baht per kilogram. Today, we ordered 1.5 kilograms of blue crab, 1.5 kilograms of shrimp, and 1 kilogram of sea bass.
The total cost of this meal was approximately 1600 baht.
Before leaving, I met Pop Pongkool and took a bunch of photos.
It's not far from the restaurant to our accommodation. It only took 10 minutes to get to The Vichit, our accommodation.
Check in, receive a welcome drink and a garland with a resignation letter. Oops! No, it's a welcome letter.
The lobby at night is very beautiful. Then the staff took me to my room by buggy.
The room I stayed in was a Pool Villa, while my friend wanted a beachfront option, so he chose the Deluxe Villa Seaview.
Let's take a look at my room. It has a huge bathtub that can comfortably fit two people. The bathroom is an outdoor type.
There's a door that leads directly to the swimming pool. There are also two sinks, so no need to fight over them.
Let's go outside the room. The swimming pool is really big, enough for four people to play comfortably.
It's very late now, so I'm going to rest. Tomorrow, I'll take you to see the breakfast and explore the resort.
The bed is calling my name now, haha!
Good morning, a beautiful and relaxing day. I woke up late, took care of some personal matters, and then went out for breakfast. My room is located near the lobby.
The restaurant is located right next to the beach, which is quite a distance from the room. But that's okay, it's a good way to get some exercise and explore the resort.
The first place I encountered was the Kid's Club, which had just undergone a renovation the week before my arrival. It was stunning! There was a pool for kids, outdoor play equipment, and an indoor ball pit. The view from the pool was incredible, even making me, an adult, a little envious.
The other side is the fitness area, with a view that is just as beautiful. You can work out while looking at the sea.
Let's head to the restaurant from the Kid's Club. I'm hungry! The breakfast room is right next to the pool and the sea.
The food selection is complete, with Thai, Chinese, and international options. There's also a fruit bar and a unique Thai dessert section with a wide variety of choices.
I haven't seen so many Thai desserts anywhere else.
After a satisfying meal, we took a stroll along the beach to aid digestion. During our walk, we stumbled upon Baan Vichitr, a restaurant.
Unfortunately, the restaurant was closed during the low season when I visited, so I missed out on the opportunity to try their food.
My stomach is full and my eyelids are heavy. Let's all go get some rest and then we can go out for lunch around noon.
I sent my wife to the room and went for a walk around the other parts of the hotel. I have a habit of not wanting to go back to sleep once I'm awake. Next, I'll take you to the hotel's spa. The atmosphere is great. I secretly took a picture of the jacuzzi from another guest's room. If I could soak in the water after sleeping, it would be amazing.
After leaving the spa, I went to invite my friend to have dinner outside, so I took the opportunity to look at my friend's room. It was a Deluxe Sea View room. The view of the sea was far away. This room didn't have a pool or a mosquito net, but it was beautiful in a different way.
Come see my room during the day. The bathtub has a view of the swimming pool, it's amazing.
It's noon, time to go out and find something to eat, haha. Since my friend wanted to go take pictures of the little marmots at the photo spot, how could I refuse?
It took about 20 minutes to get there. We ordered food and a drink each, which averaged 500 baht per person.
While we were waiting, we went out to take some pictures. The food didn't take long to arrive, and after we finished eating, it was time to go find the marmots. There were three of them.
If you go, see if you can find them. Saying goodbye to the marmots, it's time to rest my eyes again. I'll drive back to the resort and go out for a swim in the evening.
As for me, I'm still the same old night owl. I changed my clothes and went out to find something to cool down at a bar by the sea.
I sat there taking photos and playing on my phone, waiting for happy hour. Buy 1 get 1 free! I can only remember the name of one drink, Vichitra Paradise. I'd like to have two of those, haha!
Walking around taking pictures. The atmosphere is great. Here are some pictures for you.
In the afternoons, when the water recedes, local villagers come out to collect shellfish. The resort also offers afternoon activities, which vary from day to day. On the day I visited, there was beach yoga.
At five o'clock in the evening, my wife and her friend came to meet me as arranged. I don't know how to describe it, so I'll let the pictures do the talking.
Today we have another appointment with you, Pha. This time, my friend said we have to go big. So, we ordered 2 kilos of shrimp, 40 baht per oyster, 2 kilos of blue crab, and 1.2 kilos of sea bass. The damage for this meal was 600 baht per person. We were so full we could barely move.
I had lunch there for two days. I forgot to tell my friends that there are two famous restaurants in Rawai: Krua Khun Pa and Muk Dee. Both have delicious food, but Krua Khun Pa's dipping sauce is better. I had Muk Dee before, and the dipping sauce was just okay.
We arrived at the resort and gathered in one of the rooms to party. We chatted away like we hadn't seen each other in ages. The only downside was the abundance of mosquitoes at night.
It's time to go to bed. I have to go back to Bangkok tomorrow. Throughout the 3-day, 2-night trip to Phuket, I really got to relax. I didn't have to exert myself much. I enjoyed a comfortable cruise, took some cool photos to show off to my friends, and have enough photos to post for a year. I ate a lot of seafood until I was sick of it. I also got to sleep comfortably in a quiet and beautiful resort. It's really perfect for sleeping. If I have the chance, I'll definitely come back again. I ate well, slept warmly, and this trip was truly amazing. Thank you everyone for watching this review.
I forgot to mention this person. When we arrived at the airport, we were way ahead of schedule. Our flight was at 7pm, but we arrived at 2pm. And at that time, Phuket airport was very crowded. And other airlines were also having a good day. Because we wanted to go back already, we asked him if we could move our flight to an earlier time.
And good looks, plus good luck, there were seats left on the two o'clock flight, so we got to go home early. Thank you for helping with the coordination.
